I too have pulled the plug.

You should trust no one in the Bitcoin space and I have been suspicious for some time now. I too haven't had any kind of payout in 2 months and I wonder if I ever will now. I just cant take the risk.

I would go back if I am proved wrong and things get back to normal.

I have used other pools in the past too and I settled with Eligus because I trust it, well I did. Im still mining there I think, who knows? Something simple would keep me happy, like I said before in my question it seems strange that the whole thing was closed before the new one was ready. Why the rush?

Am I missing something here?

Why was there a need to change things well before you were ready to launch the new system? This is dragging on somewhat.

I suppose its just listening to people say its good for the unbanked and for small loans for those people etc etc.
In fact Ive been around bitcoin since 2012 and a lot of what was said then isnt true like its anonymous and you can send money for free etc.

I've transferred more money to it and am then going to withdraw the total amount, which is a waste of my bitcoin really as it would have been more financially sensible to forget it, at this stage at least. But as people are losing bitcoin for ever all the time it just doesnt seem right.

Amount in wallet too small?
by

Ive got a paper wallet that I thought I had taken all the funds off. Turns out I missed a bit somehow, must have been messing with the miner fee. Anyhow this paper wallet has the equivalent of .04 euros on it. Which I cant seem to get from it. Im supposing the miner fee (even if I use economy fee) must be more than the amount on the wallet.

Now I am not fussed about .04 euro. However If I now destroy this wallet then im burning some bitcoin which doesnt seem right to me. I thought about transferring some more money to the wallet and then scanning it again to get it all off but my question is:

How do I get all the money from this wallet? After all I thought bitcoin was supposed to be ideal for micro payments? In 50 years time the .04 might be 40 0r even 40000 euro (if the euro is still being used then!).

TIA

So what's going to happen when we have 21 million coins, will you all unplug your solo miners or will you keep them going to keep things spread around and decentralized.

I mine on a pool still. I get about $1 a day Smiley

Why is this taking so long to resolve?

Surely it is in the mining pools interest to fall into line? Or is there something more sinister going on?

Re stress testing I suppose it needs to be done isnt bitcoin still classed as beta or am I missing the point?

I have been watching the discussion on block size around the net with interest but not really had any opinions one way or the other, however, I have an antminer S2 on a pool. Will it need new software to deal with bigger blocks? Sorry if its a dumb question but as they say the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked  Tongue Ill ask anyhow.

Cheers

All very impressive but is this still viable with the current price? I would have though investors will be very nervous right now.

Do you have any pics of the miners running?

Looking at ebay for example the price of miners has crashed. Understandably I guess. Its all speculation Smiley

Interested to see if anyone is still buying new mining rigs?

I decided that i'll stick with what I have as it seems like a waste hurling more money at it now. The difficulty is still increasing so I guess someone is.

I hope you are right because to me it all seems stale, news that would have boosted the price doesnt seem to affect it any more.  Undecided
