Re: HODL IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME NOW
by

on 13/12/2018, 11:41:48 UTC
While it is okay to hodl, it's also important to evaluate the coins in your portfolio and know the usefulness of what you're hodling. Some coins have become worthless already and some have their prices sitting on $0, some of them are completely dead without any hope of recovery. I'm currently hodling as well, some I've forced to hodl because I can not sell at a loses.

Re: The best investment prediction for 2019?
by
Brawnsugar
on 13/12/2018, 10:43:46 UTC
Hello Bitcointalkers,

Which coin will become the best investment asset in 2019?

Will there be another coin that is going to become as popular as BTC, XRP, and DASH?

Please share your opinions!  Cheesy

The most important investment in 2019 for me still remains BTC. It will be also be the catalyst for the growth of any altcoin in 2019 no matter the advancement in their project/product. The other coins you mentioned got popular because Bitcoin made them grow, now they're not most people's favourite because there's a general decline in the market

Re: No bull run this year?! For real?

Most of the people said in this board there will be no bull run in the late of 2018 and there is a high probability that bull run comes in mid-2019. What's your thought about it?

Hahahaha the wait for a crypto pump will be long my friend. Right now there are no signs it's going to happen any time soon. All the predictions and speculations by so called experts have not amounted to anything to date. The point is, no one knows for a certainty when the market will experience it. This is the mindset you should have so no one makes you rush into buying any coins and losing more money

This prices will defo kill many shitcoins, only the strong ones will persevere and we get them at sale prices!!

This bears is one of the good things that has happened to the crypto sphere. It will result in the death of so many shit projects and only the ones with good fundamentals will survive. I have been copping some good coins by staggering my buys. This I'll do until the market gets back on track, because I know the gains will be massive soon enough.

Re: Are The Bulls Back?

Nah, I don't expect we will see a bull run in 2018 or early 2019, so I expect maybe an upturn late 2019 and early 2020. So I believe we have plenty of time to accumulate our favorite coins and tokens so we can grow some decent sized bags for the future. I used to hate the bear market but now I want to use it to my advantage and just quietly try to grow more stashes of all the good cheap coins I like. There are three projects mainly I have targets to reach, collecting wise when I am done with those targets, I will then look at diversifying into maybe another 2-3 good projects that have proven themselves. Now is the time to lay low and also you need to be vigilant and not go after shiny objects, but good solid projects with good fundamentals.

This is the best to attack the market going forward. It's important not to jump into the purchase just any coin that looks like a money spinner. This bears season is good opportunity to really sit down and review our activities so far and see where we've been doing it all wrong, make amends and also the best time to buy those good coins that were hitherto beyond reach due to their prices

Re: Bitcoinus platform is fully developed, the token price stays low.. Why?
by
Brawnsugar
on 11/12/2018, 08:41:16 UTC
The full development of a platform/project is should ordinarily be a panacea for the growth in price of a coin, but in that's not to be expected in this bears market situation because the overall market sentiment is that of uncertainty, so a lot of people are not willing to throw their weight behind the uncertainty that lurks around the crypto space at the moment. The low price has nothing to do with the platform, but the market situation

Re: Lessons from crypto in 2018
by

on 10/12/2018, 12:00:24 UTC
2018 has taught me so much valuable lessons, chief of them is the need to be very much aware in this space, as you be a minute late and the party is over.  I've also learnt to put my greed under check especially when I'm making good gains, it's important to secure profits and set targets to exit and not foolishly riding the tide until forced out. I've learnt to follow my instincts and being overly dependent on what is being churned out by chillers and so called experts. Last but not the least, I've learnt patience, and this has helped me not just in crypto only, but I've been able to apply in daily life.

The market seems to be green again. There's a lot momentum around some coins at the moment. EOS, ETH, IOTA, and so many other coins are significantly well. Even King BTC hit $7k and it has stayed above it for the most part of today. Is it same to say the bearish market situation is over and the bulls back in business to dominate the market?

The Bullish prediction for this year is now over as the experts are now shifting their predictions by next year which is most crypto users are in doubt now as these famous experts in crypto are becoming foolish for so many times because of this bearish which is still affecting the market. No doubt Bulls will dominate the market but the question is when in which we have already spent almost 1 year of waiting.

None of these so called experts are always correct. The bullish predictions of Nov/Dec is almost about to go down without any occurrence. At the moment, a lot of uncertainties hang in the air and one can only be hopeful and face the day with optimism. Like you've said, the market will definitely bounce back, but no one knows when.

Re: What low market cap alts are you investing in?
by

Many of these so called low sats coins are close to zero if not zero already and buying them now is taking so much risk that may not pay off at all. I would rather you invest in top 100 or 120 coins out there which huge potentials, coins you're sure if the market picks up any moment would put you in profits

We can only be hopeful of the bulls being able to sustain the current tide which to me feels like a bull trap. There are no clear signs of the market being back strong and no indications of any anything that can trigger the market positively

Re: Are there more profitable cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin?
by

on 07/12/2018, 11:33:32 UTC
A lot of alts were more profitable than BTC during the good old times when the market was still very liquid. Right now it's not advisable to go near some alts because everyone of them is pegged to Bitcoin and it determines how profitable they'll be

Re: Pity for those who bought at ATH
by

The crypto world at the moment is one filled with so many levels of emotion and reactions to varying degrees of loses experienced by people. While some people are sobbing about their little loses, we should also reflect on the fact there are people who bought BTC @ $20K, Ripple @ $3, ADA @ $1.22, etc. Most of these guys are still hodling, hoping the market will bounce back and they'll recoup their loses.

Those guys are the real heroes of out time. Some of them have their investments almost wiped out completely. Selling at loss isn't an option for them at this point except they want to capitulate and move on.

Re: Is it possible that ETH will recover?
by

ETH like every other good token out there will recover should Bitcoin recovery too. With the planned release of Ethereum of 2.0, it should have some impact on the price, and that's if BTC doesn't dip even further as many are predicting it'll dip further to $1300

Re: If all altcoins die, only Bitcoin is left, will it rise X100?
by
Brawnsugar
on 04/12/2018, 10:03:22 UTC
We know, at the beginning of crypto, there was bitcoin as only one crypto. If we return to that situation, will Bitcoin rise sharply?
Does Altcoins have a more positive impact on Bitcoin or will it weaken Bitcoin?

Almost impossible for all altcoins to die, this is largely because some of these projects have real use cases and are valuable to the crypto community. Bitcoin is strong considering how well it has performed since 2010 to date. Remember it is the most popular cryptocurrency as most people know BTC before any other. Alts do not have any negative impact on Bitcoin as they rather depend on it for any growth in their prices.

Re: Who reads the whitepaper of a crypto-project?
by

on 03/12/2018, 11:32:48 UTC
Just curious if you guys read the whitepapers of the projects you want to invest in at some point?

I'm a fan (hence my site), but I always wonder what kind of research people do on coins before throwing money at it.

John
www.allcryptowhitepapers.com

I will take a quick look at the founder's ideas and how they sell their tokens. I always refuse to invest in ICO projects offering high bonus rates. I think this is a low valuation of the token and that will make it easier for the whales to manipulate the company in the future.

Absolutely! This is usually embedded in the whitepaper and it takes reading it to find out. I equally take a pass on ICOs with humongous bonuses for private investors/VCs and no known lock-in periods for such bonuses.

Re: What do you think the market needs to get back on track?!
by
Brawnsugar
on 03/12/2018, 11:24:37 UTC
The market has been brought to its knees and for it to get back on track, certain things need to happen. First some sort of regulation needs to happen as spearheaded by the SEC, ICOs need to be regulated to weed out the scams, and ensure that there's confidence in the crypto space once again to lure in fresh investors as well as institutional investors.

Re: ICO devs should fear bounty hunters!!
by
Brawnsugar
on 02/12/2018, 07:21:22 UTC
Bounty hunters coming together and uniting against these devs won't be such a bad a idea, because sometimes the bounty managers get affected by the scam attitudes of these devs. Imagine working for months and not getting paid. I once remember the Essentia where the devs of the projects went AWOL on the bounty managers and months of work went down the drain. Bounty hunters should have one voice and fine ways to make these devs accountable.

I'll also be kind of hesitant in using any price signals now, considering the history we've history with so many of them. Personally, I've had to stay away from trading at all this period, because the more I try, the more I shed my BTC stack which isn't just the best. I shall return to trading when the market becomes a bit stable.
