Re: Crypto in Developing Countries

However, the volatility of cryptocurrency can be detrimental to financial stability, and the rise of cryptocurrencies in developing countries poses threats to financial stability, domestic resource mobilization, and the security of monetary systems.

I disagree i think it would be quite the opposite actually

I mean cryptocurrency has a lot of risks and one of them is its volatility i don’t think it will be the main cause of hindrances in developing countries but rather just a factor that a citizen in a developing country or in any country for that matter would need to take into consideration

Developing countries are more interested in bitcoin in order to improve their daily lives the future of bitcoin in these countries depends on the government of that specific developing country whether they would like to support crypto in their country or put up really high walls against it

So the main reason we are having more people going to bitcoin in these countries is because they want to have a better life, and the government cannot provide better opportunities itself. In the other hand the government do not want that people to have their bitcoins?

Research from 2022 shows that cryptocurrency adoption is typically highest in developing economies across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Among the top ten countries with the largest share of crypto users are low- and middle-income Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa, Argentina, Indonesia, and Brazil. Furthermore, Bitcoin has been a legally recognized currency in El Salvador since 2021 and in the Central African Republic. Crypto adoption in developing countries is driven by the unique opportunities that cryptocurrencies offer, such as their utility as a store of value compared to volatile local currencies, low trust in governments, and their role in cross-border remittances. However, adoption by merchants is a barrier to its success. The benefits of cryptocurrency adoption in developing countries include financial inclusion, reduced cost of cross-border remittances, and expanded economic opportunities. However, the volatility of cryptocurrency can be detrimental to financial stability, and the rise of cryptocurrencies in developing countries poses threats to financial stability, domestic resource mobilization, and the security of monetary systems.

How do you see the future of cryptocurrencies in developing countries? Will they continue to grow in popularity, or will governments and traditional financial institutions succeed in stifling their adoption?

Ethiopia probably have cheap electricity as well because it's situated in the Nile basin. I did some research, and they have quite a number of hydroelectric power plants - https://www.gem.wiki/Category:Hydroelectric_power_plants_in_Ethiopia

in the article, they say
Quote
“100% of the data center’s electricity comes from renewable energy sources, specifically from the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, the largest hydropower project in Africa, with a capacity of 5.15 GW,”

That dam is not 100% built yet so it's only going to yield a fraction of the electricity that the article cited.

Let's hope they're not going to ursup all the residential electricity though, my neighborhood is farthest from the nearest power grid so we get more frequent outages.

and how are the electricity costs where you live?

like.. of what? Copied DVDs? Porn? Self-help Guides? Warez? Roll Eyes

Please be more elaborate, else you will get ignored. Roll Eyes
The activity history and posts made by this account are the characteristics of a scammer. He tried in the lending section, and then exchanged Bitcoins, offering services and now he promises to sell you a mystery box that will be shipped to your home address. Mystery Box was a popular content on YouTube, but now it has become a thing of the past, I think. With shipping costs included, the $10 Mystery Box will be an empty box (if it arrives to you).
But he said its all downloadable.
Hey OP I'll take a vouch digital mystery box.

did you take it?  any feedback?

Huge Russian mining center in Ethiopia

What do you think about big companies making huge mining centers? And what about when those companies make it in other countries? How do you think this impact on those house-made mining structures, if does?

I've just read something and this came to my mind. Because as we know, as more miners we have, less the payment we receive.

Do you think it will become a problem in the future and will be impossible to a regular person to start mining?

I don't think miner are taking advantage of the higher fees, I believe the fees are getting higher because of the boom of the miners, then everyone should get paid. So I believe next two years fees must stop increasing and will be stable with a less rate % of increase per year

my goal is to find the way to introduce crypto to AI users

AI (above average IQ) users would not be interested in a pump and dump scam such as crypto.

thats right, but what if we can make crypto simple and easy to use and entertaining as this ai hype?

I believe that the AI crypto trend is a marketing ploy, just as happens with any hot topic, as these cryptocurrencies exploit some words to facilitate advertising. All they need is attractive terms, an infusion of currency, and professional marketing, and you find everyone buying without even reading the white paper. Artificial intelligence, whether it is applications such as generation of text, image processing, video, etc. will be misused in cryptocurrencies.

my goal is to find the way to introduce crypto to AI users. But that non-regular users, people that are not into technology and has just discovered AI. Like insert a new coin inside  an AI ecosystem, that generates text, image, video, presentations etc... then create a way to give some of that coins in a really tiny amount, by those AI apps, and see what happens next.

It is the new buzzword, so anything that happens now is not an indicator of what this will do in the next 10years. It is possible that with AI many things might change but we should not forget that AI is only getting buzzed now, it was existing and running on different apps and services for a long time.

AI will change the world and the mankind and you will find the world different from it is now. However, when it comes to the projects exclusively the crypto projects, many won't have nothing to do with AI but will be using the word "AI" to sell their products. The sad reality would be that the people buying the products/coins, won't actually know the true meaning of AI and these companies will sell them the Hype and not the product.

We have seem this happening with Defi, Meta Verse, Web 3 and now nothing different with the Artificial Intelligence. If only the retails became educated, these scammers wouldn't be enjoying free money  Huh

thats the point, im looking for this new hype that is and will keep being sold for regular users, people that do not understand crypto market or AI word very well. I see that many people that is not so into technology, being catched by those 'AI sellers', as you mentioned.
So, im trying to find where can we fit crypto and AI to make this hype happen, and introduce newbies to the crypto world with the use of AI.

First of all, what is your main goal? Second, how are you going to create new AI solutions to make people use your token in it? AI needs years and years and lots of money to start working, how are you gonna make this as we already have many AI consuming the market. Sorry but i dont think there's a way this plan can go well
