That is odd, it works now, but it went to a parked page when I tried it earlier. I added back a link to it in my blog posting now.

Hi, thank you!

There was an issue for 3 hours, we solved it.

Sorry for taking some time getting back to you and tnx again for the support.

Re: Are crowd funded projects going to become more prevalent?
by

As in my title. What do you think starting a company will be like in 30 years?

Will getting funding have nothing to do with convincing a bank, and more to do with convincing your peers?

Here is an example,

A chain of hair salons crowd funding global expansion.

http://www.klippt.com.au/ipo.html

I think it is going to get more popular, as the inflation of continues.
If banks will not loan anything to the people, this will be an important step for many start-ups.

I agree with that... this is why we are working on Coinpowers.com, a place where you start your own coin in a crowdfunding form.

Were you logged into your blockchain.info account already today (already entered the 2FA for today)?

[Hmmm.  Maybe I will change my 2FA to "every time" instead of "once per day" - now that I think about this]

No, haven't logged in for a month or so.

Re: eToro launches Bitcoin trade
by
BruceWayne

I don't believe it. Their forex platform is betting, they hold no currency. And they're banned in the usa. Lastly, having an anonymous username when representing a company is shady as Fuck.

one of eToro's core values is transparency-  we make sure that all trades on our system are displayed publicly here : https://openbook.etoro.com/
Our execution policy is available here -  http://www.etoro.com/en/customer-service/regulation-license/  and audited by our regulator .

This is my private username, i saw this msg and i wanted to provide you with additiona information.

the following differentiate eToro from BTC exchanges:

1. you can withdraw your Bitcoins only with Fiat - not Bitcoins
2. You don't need to be concerned about security. your funds are safe with eToro.
3. You invest using your credit card.
4. You deposit your funds with a regulated entity.

Any questions feel free to ask

Had a very bad experience so far with ETORO.. Although admittedly in some part due to me diving in and not reading anything Smiley

I setup an account uploaded $50, attempted to buy some Bitcoin, at which point I realised that ETORO is essentially just a spread-betting CFD platform. I am now trying to withdraw the $50 and close my account but I can't until I've completed the ID verification and Money Laundering checks...This page constantly errors out and I'm stuck now speaking to some drone in their support center who keeps pointing me back to the withdraw funds guide!! Massive waste of time!

Hi

I'm sorry you feel that way, we have no attention to misleading our clients.
Could you please PM you'r user in eToro and i will help?

Wow, Bitcoin EFT, just what we needed! In no time we'll have 2.1 billion BTC (100x) in IOU's like with the paper silver market.

Hi There

I'm Amos and i manage the trading department in eToro and part of the Colored Coins team.
As a bitcoin fans and big part of the bitcoin community our goal is to open Bitcoin to the mass.

You are basing your comment on facts that are not true. For each Bitcoin CFD that one is buying using eToro platform we buy one bitcoin in one of the exchanges.
There is not leverage and betting here.

So a simple guy who want to hold Bitcoin and gain from the price movement just like EUR/USD or AAPL stock can buy Bitcoins and hold them without worry about security or trying to understand how the wallet works.
It's the easiest way to approach the mass and give them the ability to enjoy the price movements under a regulated and safe environment ( FCA/CYSEC)

Re: Colored Coins white paper V2.0
by
BruceWayne
on 28/11/2013, 13:00:48 UTC
Thank you, Bruce. I intend to heavily use Colored Coins in one of my projects.

Thanks
We would be happy to hear more about it and maybe sponsor it in the future.
The link to this project is already on my signature. This is quite ambitious stuff and certainly Coloredcoins.org team as a formal organization is invited to be among the first 20 core members.

With the recent rise in Bitcoin price, money becomes less of a problem for every Bitcoin related project. I'll be happy to accept your sponsorship rather in terms of advice and recommendation than in money. Probably I'll suggest some modifications to order-based coloring, but let me carefully read the new white paper version first and not jump ahead.

You are more than welcome

Re: Colored Coins - the incredible features this new protocol layer will enable
by
BruceWayne
on 10/11/2013, 08:25:35 UTC
I wish to create a page on the Bitcoin wiki about colored coins. Since it's such a new technology layer being built on top of Bitcoin I'm looking for ideas on what kind of features will be possible. Both immediately and theories about what it could potentially enable as it matures. I will then try to condense the ideas into a wiki for a more general audience to become familiar with what colored coins are and what they can do.

I'll try to edit this OP too with some of the ideas:

-decentralized P2P exchanges
-user created currencies with the bitcoin network providing security of transactions
-asset marking or smart property

What else?

We are currently working on an updated white paper, will be published soon.

Sent you a PM
