Re: [Idea] Trustless bitcoin wrapping for rollups/sidechains
by

To better illustrate idea: This will enable something like trust-less cross-chain Bitcoin ETF. On other chains will be traded permission to unlock bitcoin within a year (or customized period of time) . In case of ETF price increase, more people will be interested to lock their BTC and arbitrage price. In case of ETF price drop, there will be demand to burn side chain tokens and release BTC from script. Anyway it will create amazing financial product, stimulate on-chain activity and will create demand for block space and BTC itself.

Doesn't liquid already implement something like this (the lighting network sort of does too) - not sure how they deal with disputes when funds are moved. I can't decide if thats the same as the roll up you've mentioned as the only sources I can find are from the upgrades to ethereum and polygon.
Yeah, lightning looks great.
I've tried to understand how Liquid works, but as I found it relies on complex system of federation, and underneath there is something like trusted PC which reminds me bridge. Anyway, liquid is great too.
What I want to point with respect to attempts to build trust-less scalable solutions for settlements and on-chain trading like lightning and liquid - there is something big emerged outside of bitcoin, and it will be great if BTC could inter-op itself by script and democratize it's wrapping adoption by other chains.
Regarding disputes - I think it could be solved with locks (like 1 year) to transfer locked BTC out of script plus include side chain block number somehow to signature. Anyway - I'm not an expert in this field, just suggestion from the user perspective.

[Idea] Trustless bitcoin wrapping for rollups/sidechains
by

Maybe this is a stupid idea, but as a naive crypto user, I'm wonder is there a way to wrap bitcoin by trust-less script to unleash it's cross chain adoption?
For now there are a lot of different chains which has trust-less DEXes, but in most of them BTC is wrapped by centralized custody (like WBTC) or just uses a hack-able bridge.
Also i found this Rollups on bitcoin
Rollups on bitcoin, which uses BTC as Data & Consensus layer, with faster settlements and execution layer.
But for now all these solutions not well implemented and adopted.
What do you think, is it possible to wrap BTC in a trust-less way to ease integrations with other chains/rollups?
This will significantly increase demand for BTC as of now settlements layer on BTC can't meet users expectations.
Of course, i know that BTC has no finality and can chain could be overridden by aliens who has more hashing power, but even if feature will be implemented as sending BTC to some script, and after that release BTC from script by submitting verifiable signature which bound not to private key, but to proof that abstract side chain token has been burned, this will be enough for most use cases.

[...] merit points that can be earned by helping others or creating interesting topics.
It's a lie. To earn merit points you have to do anything, that merit sources likes. As we know, usual users (especially newbies) are not merit sources, so, doing anything which helping them is absolutely pointless.

My impression is that most of high rank users don't check frequently the altcoins sections nor local boards. [...]
But most of new users likes these sections and they don't need anything else on this forum. As i mentioned earlier, merit system is unfair to new users and stupid.

posts written in quite bad English
What's wrong with bad english? Are admins reading national topics?
This is absolutely unfair and dumb system of merit. You are have to suck a dick of "merit sources" to get anything. Nobody knows what they want. Usual users don't know anything about this dumb system. Also they scared with red numbers of "trust rating" (another dumb, stupid and useless mechanism for oldfags of this forum),  "trust rating" abused by oldfags and useless for new users.

There is no action in the development. Simply, this scamers are waiting for a good moment (now the price decline of all the shit/scamcoins) to enter the exchange and sell its premine.
Nobody cares, people buy crypto, because it's crypto. Than more scammy shitcoin is, than better people buys it. If devs wanted to dump and runaway, they could make a beautiful photoshop image of the wallet, sell masternodes on auction before the launch and chill out. Stop shitposting and give them a chance.

Commercium is missing 24 rpc calls which are being programmed in and are on the private commercium github repo. The reason it is not public is, people would assume its ready and start compiling and using the unfinished code.

You can commit to separate branch on github, name it "dev", for example  Shocked  And community will be happy with this observable progress, so we will be able to sell at higher price  Roll Eyes  Grin

And why is rising in rank so important to you? Because of the bounty program? If not, who cares what rank you have. Its not like you have any restrictions
For sure this stupid system and limitations created for small number of users who could advertise shits and scams here with their large signatures. There is no other point of being highly ranked. To reduce spam and flood on the forum, they should remove these bounty/airdrop advantages, instead of it, admins prefer to get something valuable, that they could manage and sell. They should issue merit coin and sell it, instead of this dumb pointless system.

What if it will look like injecting yourself in the simulation of your past. Without all these loops, sending back and others outdated concepts. What if at some stage of evolution, universe will be able to simulate itself from the beginning in some local area?

Cryptopia has long been not a good exchange. And if you say for sure, it's  generally insolent.

But it has good volumes. There was announce in the  discord, that galactrum will be listed in few days.
