Re: Is the presence of Bitcoin able to wipe out cash?
by
BurstIncomeAsset
on 27/09/2017, 17:32:55 UTC
You cannot pay taxes, for example, with bitcoins, so there always will be cash or some kind of centralized money.

The world is on the way of a cashless society, the banks the government and the elite in power all want it, but of course it won't be bitcoin because it is decentralized

by

Nothing they didn't so far.

Maybe cash out some of the coins they got by manipulating the market, surely they made big bucks with btc.
If all of sudden the people associated with PBOC and the Chinese government appears with new luxury cars, you might know why

Anything more concrete than a consideration? 2020 isn't that far away. According to news, other countries considers launching national digital coins, including Palestine, since some years ago, and so far nothing of concrete happened.

No more bad news, so no reason for further falls.

Eventually, if the news about China banning bitcoin are true, then the price will rach 10% less than the ATH and will recover from ATH as new people join the bitcoin world.

What about no exchanges close(I think it is more likely)? Will the price rise again?

I think the worst is already expected, and so priced in.

Re: Government regulation of bitcoin
by
BurstIncomeAsset
on 27/09/2017, 15:54:17 UTC
Once the governament accept bitcoins means we will have only problems and that will benefit for governament. becasue they will start to collect tax on every bitcoin payment. The bitcoin is famous for N number of amount transaction for no tax. if we want to pay tax means then who will use this bitcoin everyone will use fiat money.
It is important to remember that, despite what people say, there has never been a time when bitcoin was untaxed. This makes your argument about using fiat confusing because you will still have to pay tax. Tax and bitcoin are two different topics because whether you use dollars, euros, or carrots, you always owe tax on your gain.

There was a time when there was no specific rules rules about bitcoin taxes and bitcoin was under the radar, so hide it and even use it as a way to transfer bitcoin oversea was too easy.

Good time, but looks like regulations bring confidence and higher prices

They are every day.
With every block new coins are mined and are available out of nothing, so the supply of bitcoins running dry is not a concern for the near future.

blockchain is not an exchange, you can't buy from it
blockchain.info is just a block explorer, they don't sell anything

since you are a newbie, the "downloaded an app" part might contain a virus, better be careful

I don't know if I would use exchanges through mobiles

More free coins? Always welcome.
Another dump because people will panic with FUD? Buy low is always good.

Last time I got around 10% more bitcoins and the price skyrocketed, my only thoughts were: there should be more hardforks.

Re: Regarding China
by
BurstIncomeAsset
on 27/09/2017, 05:30:23 UTC
It is likely that after the 19th Party Conference of China, which will be held on October 18, the changed party leadership will change the approach to the crackpit and it will again be allowed in this country. There is also information that the Chinese government simply can not really prohibit the circulation of the crypto currency, because it is not in a position to control it.

It is not forbidden exactly in China. Only the exchanges will require more regulations, but still more than 1 month until they have to close if they don't meet the new requirements.

But I think they could control Bitcoin if they want because they already control internet and are a lightweight version of North Korea, but they would have to stop the production of ASICs miners and maybe hurt their economy in the future, so I doubt they would.

Re: So the China Bitcoin ban is because NORTH KOREA
by
BurstIncomeAsset
on 27/09/2017, 05:21:07 UTC
NYPOST.COM, this is a legit news site? If it is, then they should fire this reporter who is just making an accusations which don't have any solid proofs to support his accusations. Of course theres a freedom of speech and he is just saying what he feels, but in his statements seems he surpass the limits. That's very unprofessional. He is accusing China is secretly funding North Korea with bitcoins. That's a serious accusation right there. Anyway, no one will believe this since there's still no confirmations. But serious, fire this reporter.

It is rare to find a legit news site and all the big ones are liars. They launched the fake news stuff because people already started to show their lies and discredit them. It is like in X-file: deny everything, admit nothing, make counter accusations.

Of course all the news linking Bitcoin and North Korea are insubstantial at best.

Biggest problem with ATM's is the high fees they charge.

Of course 200 ATM's is nice, but won't be much useful if people don't want to use Bitcoin. Expand the user base should be priority, I think.

The protocol would work as usual.

P2p transactions would be impossible to be stopped.

And the black market would still be open.

They can't stop the crime, how could they stop Bitcoin?

Re: Charlie Lee: Chinese bitcoin FUD is whale manipulation
by
BurstIncomeAsset
on 22/09/2017, 20:20:01 UTC
Bitcoins Intention was to brake the banks dictatorship. As we can see, nothing changed with bitcoin. Instead of banks, now whales dominate everything, manipulate and steal.

Wrong. Bitcoin was all about putting fair rules for everyone, and the rules are fair and clean, open source, there are no lies within the protocol. You can never stop whales from forming and you can never stop them from telling lines. If you are stupid enough to fall for the FUD and sell and lose your BTC then that is your problem, not anyone's else or BTC's problem itself.

Just to add on to your post.

"Bitcoin has no ethical rules" it only has "Technical Rules".

Pump&Dump, market manipulation, stealing, scamming, crashing the market and going short on it.... all allowed in Bitcoin.
So Bitcoin is ethically as fair as Anarchy...

Anything can be said about any technology and even about any money.

People have ethics, technologies aren't sentient so they can't have ethics by design

Re: How much closer is Bitcoin to being mainstream?
by
BurstIncomeAsset
on 22/09/2017, 20:11:21 UTC
What exactly is the threshold for Bitcoin be considered mainstream?

With a few millions of bitcoin users it is far from being mainstream, anyway.

I think the biggest obstacle for mainstrain adoption is the difficulty to get mainstream adoption is the difficulty to invest with fair rates. Most of the exchanges are without proper regulations.

Also have full responsibility for their money isn't for everyone.
