I don't actual handle or sell any coins or bullion, I just show you where you might make the safest purchases based on my personal experiences buying from them comparatively.

After 171 days, numerous emails, sending screenshots and bitcoin transaction links, being ignored for 75 days, and then going public with the problems, Justin at GoldSilverBitcoin has finally shipped the single American Silver Eagle I ordered and paid for last September.

Interestingly, he still claims there was no payment on this purchase. I can't figure out how his website sent "Thank you. Your order has been received and is being processed" without there having been a payment made. I received this notice of receipt just moments after successfully completing a bitcoin transaction to his payment address. Otherwise his website would have sent nothing at all, since no order would have been placed.

All the screenshots are there, but since his guy at BitPay can't find the order, Justin maintains that it never happened.

You might feel that's best, but I like the elegance of one transaction, no middleman fees, and instant clearance. When you purchase in bitcoin the USD doesn't even come into play.

Out of the four stores I ordered from, two of them I'd be happy to buy from anytime. I paid with bitcoin, and had those coins in hand within 4 days. Some stores deliver very quickly.

UPDATE:

Two days after I posted about this in this forum and on reddit, I was contact by Justin at GoldSilverBitcoin with a promise that a coin would be in the mail within 48 hours. Eight days later the single American Silver Eagle coin I ordered 5 months earlier finally arrived. I have the full review of this experience at http://buygoldwithbitcoin.com/

By this transaction Justin has unfairly profited at my expense in the amount of around 100 dollars, since if I had held onto the bitcoin during this time, I could have bought five silver ounces today instead of one. So he enjoyed the value of the bitcoin payment I made going quickly up in value as he held onto it while ignoring my emails for another 75 days, and didn't ship the coin until I made this public. I am not happy with this company GoldSilverBitcoin.

I would love to say this company, GoldSilverBitcoin, is legit. But I cannot.

Back in September I placed four identical orders with four different online stores offering precious metals for bitcoin. To keep it simple, I just ordered one Silver Eagle from each of them:

Agora Commodities
Amagi Metals
Coinabul
GoldSilverBitcoin

Three of them had no problems shipping, and two had my coin in hand WITHIN 4 DAYS, including shipping time.

Not so with GoldSilverBitcoin.

Every three weeks, I sent a courteous email to Justin (who most of the time offers no last name). In response to his constant excuses and professional sounding explanations, I sent multiple screenshots of the transaction, since I was taking careful notes to be able to prove who's honest, to help to protect the bitcoin community from scams.

I sent the bitcoin transaction link, showing the payment was received. I sent the screenshot of his website acknowledging receipt of payment with "Thank you. Your order has been received."

More excuses. Subsequent courteous emails have been ignored. When I tried to call his service number, IT WAS HIS OLD PARTNER'S PHONE NUMBER at another company.

Meanwhile, the purchasing power of the initial bitcoin payment ballooned from $25 to over $160 while he held onto it. I could have bought not one, but a whole stack of silver with that money if I had held onto it instead of sending it to Justin at GoldSilverBitcoin. Now I've got ziltch.

I am tending to agree with the OP. My simple order of one Silver Eagle has been met with nothing but excuses since I placed the order at GoldSilverBitcoin in September, which was 5 months ago!

I made a site just for this purpose, to show everyone who's being honest with me, and who just offers excuses while they hold my original payment in bitcoin, which original payment has increased in value from $25 to over $160 while he held onto it. NO COIN HAS SHIPPED from GoldSilverBitcoin.

The other three online stores, Amagi, Agora and Coinabul had no problem shipping, and two of them had my coin in hand WITHIN 4 DAYS including the shipping time.

I received an unexpected refund from the shipping overcharge on my secret shopper purchase from Agora Commodities.

During the Sept 24 secret shopper test purchase, there was an error in the shopping cart that increased the shipping charge when paying in bitcoin.

Quite some time after the purchase, I received an unexpected email from the owner of Agora Commodities, Joseph Castillo. He apologized for the shipping overcharge and offered to send me a free silver coin to compensate. What he sent was surprising, and quite beautiful, the Bitcoin Specie Silver Coin. I have included a nice scan of the coin.

BTW, the original order for one American Silver Eagle coin was delivered within 3 business days! So I'm pretty happy about this transaction, despite the shopping cart glitch.
