Wow, so it takes a little over 6 days to ramp up to full rewards for blocks found right now...I was wondering why my rewards for those last 2 blocks were horrendous. But I'll stick it out since the blocks found are going to be that much sweeter once my rewards are in full swing.
Yep, it takes a little while to ramp up. However like you said the reward is much sweeter once your NDiff starts increasing. I've been really happy with Kano CK Pool, because you are actually getting paid for the work you do. Also, from my personal experience so far Kano is very transparent, fair and honest.

I've been mining on this pool for a while now, and while we're riding this block party right now, there will be a crash at some point :p

27% block, man I'm glad I rented that 10TH right after we hit that 400% block.
That was good timing! I'm curious have you already earned your ROI with that rented 10TH?
I'm not as savvy as phillipma is, but yes, I've hit it off the 8 blocks we've gotten since I rented, and because of the way the payouts work it'll take a while to age out.
I didn't really care about making extra BTC on it, I was just mad my new miners got held up in customs :p
I've still got another 3 days on the rental, so anything else we hit at this point is just a bonus.
That's good to hear, Bonus time! From what phillipma has been saying it seems like timing really plays a big part.
Hopefully, you get your miners through customs soon. I'm expecting another Spondoolies SP20 tomorrow. Luckily my wife has been supportive in my mining operations. As long as we keep finding blocks

Last night I had a dream that my miners were down. It turns out it wasn't a dream-- I woke up this morning to a dead Internet connection and 9 shifts with 0 hash!
The bad part is I don't know exactly what happened yet. The problem was on my end-- my firewall became unresponsive. This morning it was unpingable and every switch port was flashing away like crazy in unison like a broadcast flood. The only thing running during the night was the miners so nothing should have set off a broadcast storm (or whatever appeared like one), nor has it ever happened before. After power cycling the firewall everything returned to normal. I'm left scratching my head as to what happened (and worried it will happen again).
Anyway, my 6T is back.

Ouch! That's a bad dream... Have you updated the firmware on the firewall lately? If not give that a try, maybe its a bug that they have fixed in a later fw version.
Just asking, as I'm new to the pool mining thaaang.
I'll just stick on kano then. Just hard to see days where the earnings are 1/3 they should be.
I have to get used to not being able to average or estimate the income as some days will just be better than others and at the end it should equal out.
Maybe I can average per a weekly or monthly basis.
New to pool mining also I appreciate you creating this thread @thedreamer, because its also a question I've been dealing with. I really am blown away by the great feedback on the forum from everyon, it has been priceless. Like you I too am sticking to Kano, because I appreciate the transparency. In addition with Kano I actually get paid for the work I've done per block. Where with other pools it seems that I only got paid a set amount per day for my hashrate, regardless of the amount of blocks the pool got. I have another SP20 enroute, and will being pointing it to Kano's pool by the end of the week I'll just stick on kano then. Just hard to see days where the earnings are 1/3 they should be.

Did a ckdb restart (no mining affected) to add in a few changes.
The obvious one would be I've set the shift page to show 199 instead of 99.
That's no longer a constant (i.e. I can change it using the system and user settings in ckdb)
