Cryptolend is a decentralized application (dApp) built upon the Ethereum Blockchain, more specifically, it's a Smart-contract that decides on how to distribute the ERC20-Based TrueUSD (TUSD) Tokens that are contained within the it. The USD value of (ETHCOIN) Tokens deposited to the Cryptolend Smart-contract determines the amount of (TUSD) Tokens released over 100 days. DApp is an abbreviation for Decentralized Application. DApps connect users and providers directly. A DApp runs backend code on a global decentralized peer-to-peer network. Contrast this with an app where the backend code is running on centralized servers. A DApp can have front-end code and user interfaces written in any language (just like an app) that can make calls to its back-end since Ethereum contracts are code that run on the global Ethereum decentralized network. Cryptolend doesnt control/hold any of users funds; the Smart-contact controls the lending process, as well as the funds within it; therefore Cryptolend cannot interfere, thus being fully decentralized & autonomous.
1. Lend $1000 USD in ETHCOIN @ $1.0 USD (1000 ETHCOIN Tokens x $1 USD = $1000 USD)
2. Receive 1% of $1000 ($10) daily in TrueUSD tokens for 100 days
3. After 100 days receive your initial $1000 USD back in ETHCOIN Tokens, thereby turning $1000 into $2000 over a span of 100 days. Then, if we assume the price of ETHCOIN tokens to be $2.00 USD per token after 100 days, then you would receive back a total of 500 ETHCOIN Tokens. (500 ETHCOIN Tokens x $2 USD = $1000 USD) the remaining 500 ETHCOIN Tokens are for Cryptolend to keep.
TrueUSD tokens are held in an Ethereum-Based smart-contract (TUSD Reserve Smart-contract). If the reserve supply of TUSD Tokens is equal to $100K USD --therefore a maximum of $100K USD value can be deposited towards the lending program this ensures that users initial invested capital (USD value) -- is secured and guaranteed. We can assume a continued rise in ETHCOIN tokens value as more and more people will want to take part in the lending program, with increased demand and a very limited short supply of 21M tokens.
