Re: Avoid Being Scammed Again
by
Caesar Cung
on 31/05/2018, 16:21:07 UTC
I've seen many users complaining about being scammed by ICO projects most of them are new investors which probably gonna be the next generation of investors in cryptocurrency industry. I've been here in the cryptocurrency industry for a year and I've invested into different projects and seen how they disappear in the thin air, so to avoid this I want to share to you my criteria on choosing the right ICO or project to invest in.

This is not guaranteed but maybe in some point it may help you atleast to reduce the possibility on getting scammed by ICO's, the list below are my personal criteria how I choose Project to invest with using bitcoin or other cryptocurrency:

  • Check the Background of the team (If the team didn't give info about each member of the team such as name previous projects, background, etc. There's a possibility that they will just run away with your money if they didn't give info's about their team.)
  • Read their whitepaper and look if it's really worth to invest with, their concept, etc. (This is important to know what the project is all about.)
  • Check the Social media accounts, If you find it very interesting presentable. (Join their telegram group in order to be updated.)
  • Check the Projects professionalism (How they handle users, control frauds, etc.)
  • Follow their Roadmap and other technical details and see if they meet it on time.
  • Look for the projects community and see if the community is active.
  • Look for special proof and validation.
  • Do your own research about the project such as review about the projects or you can also check the projects ANN thread to see comments who's agree/disagree or the communities idea about the project because ANN threads is like an open forum where you can ask, give insights, etc.

NOTE: Investment is one of the riskiest way to earn money. Invest only what you can afford to lose, in investment there's only two possible outcome it's either you will earn or you will learn. Learn from your mistakes.

Just like what I've said this steps are my personal steps on choosing ICO/Projects in where I'm going to invest in. This may not help you but I hope you'll learn at least a little in my little sharing. Have great day every one, ciao.

PS. If you have something to share in order to avoid scam or any topic related feel free to share so everyone will learn from us.

If you want to avoid the scammers you need to be careful of the people your talking about bitcoin. If you want to become safe for me, you don't want to talk about bitcoin because of some bitcoin users that talking about bitcoin because they want to scammed you to steal your bitcoin and your money in your wallet.
Shitcoin Cash fork is officially live - enjoy those free coins

(there are none Smiley

Effect on all prices? Let's see what the lying Chinese govt coin's shitfork does to markets and itself.
Nothing will happen. It will be just another crypto like any other, subject to the market scrutiny. The same happened with Bitcoin Gold.
It is the 4th largest crypto mate - deserve it or not - with a leadership out to destroy BTC. I wouldn't dismiss it so casually.

Well many people think the same way as you did. They thought that bitcoin is the way to get rich easily. You just need to buy bitcoin and wait until the price increase, then sell it.
It's not totally wrong, but i can't say it's true too. Many people think that bitcoin will surely make them rich, but it's not true. Bitcoin isn't some magic that will turn you into millionare easily. Don't think like that, because bitcoin is so risky, and when the price drops a little, many people sell bitcoin and think this's a scam.
Sure, it will be better if you know bitcoin earlier. I hope i did as well, but now it's not that easy to be rich from bitcoin anymore. Just think bitcoin as a lucky bonus, not the only hope you have.
Although not surprised by dips at this point... I’m a little taken aback by it. The timing is odd. I’ve literally read no valid reasons for drops of the 500 in a day nature
Dude, just look at the price history. Drops of 500 and increases of 500 a day are very common.

Don't even try to rationalise the reason because usually there isn't one. It's all based on sentiments and speculations.

btc is the king of all coins so if you say goodbye btc, I think you are in a hurry, because if btc ends, allcoin will also end

Yes, it will most likely have a huge impact on prices - and the market might take long to recover, but it will not be the end of all altcoins, especially those with products to show (e.g. Veritaseum, Populous, etc.). Most cryptos are not cryptocurrencies, but tokens that can be used to unlock multiple, blockchain-based use cases regardless of the prices. The use cases are wide and extensive - way beyond the 'store of value' the Segwit + LN hack are aiming for - completely contrary to what Bitcoin is supposed to be, namely peer-to-peer, electronic cash. Luckily Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is going to replace BTC as the real Bitcoin before long (2019-2020).
Well, reckon I should have sold at 9900, damn vacations. With that said, I refuse to sell until it's atleast back at 9k. To all of you other folks panic selling, have fun taking the losses.

Edit: for those of you HOPING that bitcoin crashes, you're working against bitcoin. You wont see adoption from businesses until it's somewhat stable. As a business owner, drops like these hurt pretty badly if I'm not exchanging for fiat on a regular basis.

Re: The FALL OF BITCOIN
by

on 31/05/2018, 15:57:28 UTC
Why do some people keep telling that Bitcoin is going to die? Okay, we're not sure it won't but we're not sure too that it will. There are lots of ICOs coming almost every day, and they require BTC as payment, and I thought that as long as BTC is in circulation, BTC won't die. As long as there are traders and others who use BTC. It might go lower in price but it won't fall. Read news about cryptocurrency, of course, the good ones.
I love how everyone freaks out when I knew all along this was going to happen. We needed to have a correction, I think the upbit news just triggered it early. In the long run this will be healthy for bitcoin as long as we don't fall much past 7250. 7800 and 7250 are the prices this could reverse, so those are both great places to buy.
I think we'll see the lows today. They're either already in or at 7800.

Then hopefully I can get busy working the longs again from tomorrow. My wife eats like a horse, need the moneys...

if you wanna to know how to manage losses thats important is dont be greed, control yourself if you get more money or if you loss your money. so use money management. if you do that you can to be professional investment or trading

In my daily life, if you want to spend a reasonable amount of money every month, I think you should learn how to manage your money, not just in your daily life, but even in pictures. If you want to manage your wallet well in the investment of digital money you have to learn the account management account access, the bonus campaign will pay how ? and where to get money, this one must know, or when you want to buy bitcoin transactions, you have to find the right girl and then find the next trust is the transaction must clear the money transfer step. The wrong wallet lost both capital and words

Re: Is it the best time to invest on ETH
by

on 31/05/2018, 12:38:09 UTC
The best time was long time ago, lol. But nobody didnt knew about bitcoin and ethereum those days, so invest today and maybe we will say the same again soon.

The best time to invest in ETH, I think, is probably the last one, and it is possible to assume that eth has surpassed the most in 2017, where there are many billionaires and ETH millionaires. With the market price not rising but decreasing, I think it is not the time to invest in ETH. Similarly, not only ETH decrease, but also some digital currencies such as bitcoin, altcoin, bitcoin is significantly reduced compared to last year reached more than 400 million Vietnam dong. If you do intend to invest in eth I advise you to break in to a later time or you can move on to explore other developmental currencies.

Re: Difficulties of investing

We can see that blockchain industry is growing continuously and a lot of investors are getting interested. They are becoming aware of the advantages of cryptocurrency and want to convert some of their savings into crypto assets. However I think investing on crypto is not that easy as it sounds. There are lot of risk involve in the process. Would you guys want to share what risks or difficulties investors may have to face while investing on cryptocurrency ?
There is nothing free in the world when you want to get something that you do not try to get in the way, especially if the investors are having trouble investing. Title: First Financial Issue. Second not the technical catch year. Third, there is no team in the group, the fourth is not aware of the virtual money market .. I think those who step several virtual money investment path most of the problems. However, people often have the phrase 'There is a need to sharpen the iron' I think this sentence is very meaningful and to those who really want to try to improve their own lives.

Re: How to know which coins are good?

I'm waiting for DAI to finally go live as I am sure it's going to be one of the top cryptos soon. Not sure how it's going to work with its 1:1 ratio with the dollar though...

Actually, DAI is not going to be 1:1 against the dollar. It was designed to minimize its volatility which means that price could still fluctuate but not as much as other cryptos.. I'm not sure how this works since I've always known that the market alone can dictate prices.

With the Eth platform being utilized more than Bitcoin, I think the Chinese were serious when they mentioned that Eth has surpassed Bitcoin. Well maybe not yet in terms of price, but it is obviously way more useful. With DAI around, we won't have to worry too much about market fluctuations as well. I own an online shop and was wondering if setting up Paybear's system can be done easily within a couple of days? Also, can it run with other payment gateways if I'd like to keep them as options for customers?

It would be best for you to contact the Paybear team through Telegram since they are always active there. https://t.me/paybear

From less than 100 Telegram members a few months ago, they grew to 300+ today. That number is mostly composed of merchants. How much more if they go for their ICO?
First of all, we use the brain to think of ways to move forward. For investing in digital money also the mayor is having a lot of outstanding coins such as bitcoin. ethereum. altcoin, ripple. .... must find the technology platform, development team, continuous improvement, the coin of the founders hold, the cost of digging the specific supply, the use of communications and trading on the floor. We all know that a coin worth is a valuable blockchain. Blockchain can be said as soul, is the true nature of a coin

Re: Token's functionality
by
Caesar Cung
on 31/05/2018, 12:02:06 UTC
We know there is a difference between coin and token. A crypto coin is a coin means of payment it acts like money as a unit of account or we can say medium of transfer. But token has wider functionality. I want to know what are the functions token has that differentiate it from coin .
Tokens are digital signatures or digital signatures encoded into numbers on a specialized device. Token code is OTP code, which means that the code is used once and randomly for each transaction. Token is usually applied to business transactions and especially online transactions. You see this as a required password for each transaction for security purposes.By using Transaction Token code, businesses will ensure accuracy. Once you have confirmed with Token, you have signed the contract without any further proof. Token code is as valid as your signature.

Re: Role of bitcointalk profile rank
by

on 31/05/2018, 11:59:31 UTC
The bitcointalk forum rank is most important thing for signature bounty campaign. The higher your rank the more payment you get in the end of campaign. To increase your rank you have to get a lot f merit , it is very difficult now. If you will post useful information, may be you will succeed in this.

Bitcointalk allows users around the world to discuss any issues on Bitcoin and Altcoin forums. Satoshi calculators, developers, trading floors, latest news ... .. On BitcoinTalk, you can create simple and discreet articles as well as rich and beautiful full-color images, shoe there are a lot of nuances that you need to know before deciding what kind of ANN you want. must be mobile-friendly platform. BitcoinTalk does not store your images, meaning you can not upload them to their servers when designing your post, unlike you have. Can do on Medium. You can refer to images that have been uploaded from the server, preferably your own

Re: Why is Bill Gate against investing into bitcoin?
by
Caesar Cung
on 31/05/2018, 11:49:19 UTC
Most rich people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are against investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general because of the huge risks due to heavy volatility. I'm very bullish on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, but it's indeed a huge gamble. "Moon" and "lambo" gains aren't guaranteed. We're just pretty much speculating and hoping that it would indeed rise to very high prices.

Yep, this is the most important reason i  guess

Bill Gates says Bitcoin is attractive because it's so cheap, Bitcoin is better than real money, you do not have to come in and of course, with big deals, the money is awkward. Bill Gates reiterates his point. The cryptocurrency in the speech summarizes the main idea at the end of the conference. He insisted that in the future, financial transactions would be "digitized, globalized and almost free, Bill Gates emphasized Bitcoin's transaction cost reduction but did not appreciate the when using this type of money. He hinted at some of the allegedly malicious use of Bitcoin

Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment?
by
Caesar Cung
on 31/05/2018, 11:20:04 UTC
Investing in bitcoin is riskier because of the rise and fall of the value of bitcoin, and the fact that your account can be hacked by somebody and gets all the bitcoin you invested there nothing you can do about it. But in the other hand Bitcoin transparency, controlling your own money, and bigger profit makes it great over bank investment. Also, everything you invest is risky. For me it's just riskier in investing in bitcoin but it's more profitable.

With the market today, there is a lot of work to ponder and discuss every issue before dealing with or implementing a problem. I think if you invest in bitcoin coins then you will be at risk if you find the wrong place to trade or have not figured out how bitcoin coins are going to invest, which is very risky as credit If you have a lot of money in your hand and want to send it to the bank, I think you want to send it to the bank first. To avoid transactional transactions without documents only give money to friends to know in the bank for money lost hands. Finally, I advised you to invest in trading with bitcoin because when you know how to make money with bitcoin, I am sure that the interest you earn more than the money you send bank but very carefully at all costs

Re: Best country for crypto

I think it is japan. japan is the best country for crypto. The japan country allow bitcoin for there country and they are very helpful about crypto. Government also very helpful about bitcoin. In the recent time many country banned bitcoin for there country. In this situation japan country are the number one country i think....

In general, when you want to protect something, you lock it with a key. People, cars, or bicycles have physical keys, protected files with encryption keys, The bank card has personal codes, and email accounts with passwords, all of which are physical or electronic, have one thing in common, they open the same lock in the same place. Who? You can install advanced phishing scams, secure mailbox accounts, or encrypted drives, but if your password is not strong enough, or if you leave it in the wrong hands, they will not. what help for you

You can see for yourself how Lightning works...

Who says that no women in bitcoin? As I have known bitcoin is for everybody who is interested. All people in this world have the right if anybody wants to work on it.it is an online job that open for everybody.

I think there are women in bitcoin, because in digital money investments there is no excuse for investing women I think everyone can participate in virtual money investing strategies. bitcoin, to me there is no concept of respect for men, women are also human and I think that with a smart woman good if you want to invest in bitcoin I think is quite easy. Just study diligently but technically displaying the board and trying to observe the market, so great, many bitcoin investors are women in today's market too.

Re: ETH worth buying now or wait?

I have been waiting to buy ETH for last 6 months. Is it good time to buy ETH or shall I wait more?
if you have not sold it now actually you have been late, you should sell it some time ago ago when the price is high. at this time I advise you to re-hold your ethereum
The way I understand it is that: the SEC and CFTC have a meeting in which they will exchange views on whether or not ETH and/or XRP could be considered securities.

So an exchange of perspectives, a ‘brainstorm’ might be too informal, but the way I look at it is that there will be no definitive decisions made. Just establishing the playing field and getting as much information on the table as to form an educated opinion.

Also I understand that ultimately the SEC doesn’t decide if something is or is not a security. They might plea that it is and start a court case, and then the judge will decide. Correct me on this if I’m wrong, but I believe this is how it works. Separation of powers and all. Also they don’t make the laws, I believe that’s congress. So if you really want assert influence, contact your congressman and tell them what you feel innovation in your country needs.

Re: ETH or Waves?
by
Caesar Cung
on 25/05/2018, 05:12:27 UTC
You can split etherium into two parts and invest in waves one part
I just want to point out that a lot of people believe that a security deicision for ETH wont be a big deal. And maybe not, because it would be easy for Coinbase (gdax) and Gemini to become compliant very quickly. However, it will hurt americans trading alts significantly. Coinbase only lists 4 coins, Gemini only 2. Not too big a deal. But if ETH (and every coin that had an ICO basically) is deemed a security, then Americans can say goodbye to shitcoin trading.

Americans will not be allowed to trade on Okex, Binance, HitBTC etc. KYC already exists for almost all centralized exchanges. They would just pull the plug immediately on all accounts from american citizens. I think decentralized exchanges wont be too affected, but I can totally see whitelists and geoblocking for american citizens there as well. If ICOs can stop American citizens, then you can bet decentralized exchanges will do the same.

Please dont downvote this, and instead comment on why you disagree instead, as its something important that needs discussing.

by
Caesar Cung
on 25/05/2018, 05:11:22 UTC
What have you been using your ETH for?

For trading
To buy ICO
For long term investment
Other - explain
I still use for investments ETH my ICOs, since most projects are using smart contracts! ETH transactions faster, more favorable Bitcoin at this time!
The crowd sale was never on chain. There was no main net yet, the genesis block hadn’t been mined.

People received what might be conceived as an ‘IOU’ which could qualify as a security. However for that to be seen as such, one would have to establish the value initially payed for the IOU and the value of that IOU at the moment the genesis block was mined and the IOU could be redeemed. Since there was no exchange trading ETH at genesis, I think that’s going to be a difficult case to make.

Also:I could be wrong. I’m not a lawyer
My thinking to all of this is, since the DAO incident, ETC kept the original chain but not the ETH ticker. While ETH kept the original ticker but forked from the ETC chain, technically ETH never had a crowdsale. ETC if anything, should be the one labeled as a security.

Re: Dear ICO Teams, Stop Offering High Presale Bonuses
by
Caesar Cung
on 25/05/2018, 05:09:07 UTC
I agree with you, the main problem is giving a very high bonus, which will create a big disposal of the investor. because this is very important and if when token listed in exchange price far from ico price then it is a very bad start.
Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day. I personally do not think SEC will declare ETH is a security; I just do not see it. However, if for some reason they do, (not sure what the reason would be); there will most likely be a huge lawsuit and legal battle against the decision. Imagine every exchange uniting together, the ETH foundation, and all of us. The case would most likely reach the supreme court. What SEC is doing feels like a message to new icos. If SEC will look at the legitimate top projects, then what do you think they'll do to us? This should discourage any scams or fraudulent ICOs.

Re: Ethereum for holding now
by

on 25/05/2018, 04:35:39 UTC
Do you recommend investing in Ethereum rather than bitcoin for holding now ? Or Bitcoin should be first ?

I want to say if I really think that Ethereum still has a lot to be improved and fair for its developers. Etherium is also great if we have large capital invested in Etherium. because now the price is still cheap. so the very good people who keep the Etherium there is great hope to make a profit.

Many industrial commodities (such as metals or oil) are priced mainly based on speculation but have a *floor* price that is set by their utility. For example, investors buying oil contracts as speculation while they have no intention of using the underlying commodity. I believe they are known as Menger goods.

If Ethereum really thrives, Ether may follow a similar path and act as a useful place for people to park extra cash when they do not want to just let it sit there and lose value.

Re: Will bitcoin win?
by

on 25/05/2018, 04:28:55 UTC
bitcoin will always be the winner because bitcoin has a very limited total supply and bitcoin also has a very good development so it will be easy to make bitcoin can face all the obstacles that exist.
Won't drop a link because this is my happy no shill zone, but I just shipped my first large app today! 40k loc and many annoyed beta testers later it's finally alive. I'm tearing up. I have a few modest users and they actually fucking like it!!!! When I first discovered eth I was struggling to keep a small rest api running, but after 2 years of existential crisis and 60-70 hours/week code grinds I actually made something real.

Interestly, bitcoin was what drew me to coding. The possibility we could create, maintain, and transact global immutable state made me rethink my assumptions about the future. I saw it as nothing but irresponsible to not be able to build this new technological future. Then of course, eth, and the rest is history. But I digress.

I'm getting drunk on whisky tonight and watching green candles with you beautiful ladys and gents. I love you all. Stay classy.
