Re: What is best wallet for long term bitcoin holding?
by
CainCoin
on 18/09/2018, 02:11:41 UTC
Coinbase is the worst wallet and it doesn't hold any private key. Basically it is a third party wallet that can be hacked anytime and the team are suspending many accounts. I have lost my 0.1 BTC in coinbase wallet. My first advice you to use hardware wallet. If you use online wallet, blockchain.com is the best wallet that holds private key, security pharase.

You're totally right! I have switched to Ledger Nano S recently and now I can sleep tight Cool
I used to have Jaxx with no problem, but they say it is vulnerable to hackers attacks, so I had to switch.
Thanks for recommending blockchain.com! Maybe I'll need it someday Cool

I don't really care whether or not they want me to panic. That's not gonna happen simply because I know they want me to.

Re: Will bitcoin go under regulation
by

Many government are seeing Bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a threat to their financial system and they think it should be regulated to solve the problem. Do you think they can regulate Bitcoin ?

I personally and even all users of bitcoin are expecting Bitcoin will run under the regulation to make it more secure and better. It is probably better if government implement and make a regulation about bitcoin, not ta ban it. Government should analyse and see that bitcoin has a huge potential that can help the society.

I also see a positive aspect to it, I mean it may turn out to be really useful for BTC and all crypto as well.

HOW TO STOP HACKERS TO HACK YOUR CRYPTO WALLET
Protect yourself from cyber criminals

5th: Do not trust PUBLIC WIFI

It's quite good to have access with free wifi's but have you think this: IS THIS A SAFE NETWORK? without you knowing maybe some of the people connected to that same network may have idea and skill on how to sniff passwords and credentials this method was so called DNS SPOOFING or SNIFFING if you want to use public wifi then use it not just with your bitcoin transactions.

I agree with everything you wrote here, but just wanted to add that whenever you use PUBLIC WIFI (sometimes you simply don't have choice), you should use a VPN service, which will prevent you from many troubles.

Thank you!

That's right. A good VPN is a cornerstone of online security. And it's not only limited to PUBLIC WIFI. Every time you go online and enter your login and password, it is potentially unsafe unless you use a trusted VPN service and with crypto it's a MUST. So, I guess VPN should also be included on the list.
Otherwise, the list is nearly perfect. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Bitcoin become an asset

Whatever you think it to be, many governments around the world have recognized BTC as an asset. I believe it has only good aspects to it. It means BTC becomes increasingly legal, which will attract more investors and make sure Bitcoin is alive Cool

According to what I see, I can assure you 2 to 3 years and BTC will be accepted worldwide on most websites and after that I expect YouTube and other major players may decide to step in and start paying in BTC. I'm really hopeful Wink

Re: Bitcoin may reach $ 20,000 by the end of this year?
by
CainCoin
on 13/09/2018, 02:05:15 UTC
2015 January 1BTC=$$300
2016 January 1BTC=$434
2017 January 1BTC=$1,000

Facts don't care about opinions. The market is doing good, the problem is most of you just compare the price with last week or last months. Or keep hoping to see the Bitcoin value hitting $20,000 again. Zoom out if you really want to talk about the market

2014 1BTC=$800 and then crashed in 2015, 2015 January 1BTC=$$300. See where Bitcoin is today in 2018 $6300
So...

Right! And the market doesn't care about anyone's opinions at all, so I'm sure no one can ever tell you exactly what BTC price is going to be within ten minutes from now. Thus, it could be anything Cool

Re: Will Bitcoin become centralized sometime in the future?
by
CainCoin
on 13/09/2018, 01:48:42 UTC
Because as soon as it becomes centralized it'll cease being Bitcoin, won't it? I've always thought BTC is decentralized by its nature and hierarchy. If it is, how can it be centralized, anyway? Is that possible at all?

Re: Why do people need to use Bitcoin for Money laundering?
by
CainCoin
on 13/09/2018, 01:41:22 UTC
Just because transferring money through a bank could be impossible at times because many banks have some anti-money-laundering mechanisms in place and they simply cannot transfer money without sufficient proof of its lawful origin. Bitcoin, unlike banks, doesn't require anything to transfer as much money as you wish with minimal fee at that. So, why shouldn't they use BTC?  Cool

Re: Even the Politicians have secret investment in Bitcoin
by
CainCoin
on 13/09/2018, 01:32:44 UTC
DO you know that even some of the so called politicians have secret investments in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies that no one may be aware of? I believe this is one of the reasons why some of them have double stand when it comes to taking decisions on the adoption or regulation of cryptocurrency. Some of them are scared of publicly supporting crypto. What do you think?

Yes, they might have secret crypto investments, but they say, "nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light." I don't see why they can't invest in Bitcoin, but that's not what's bothering me here. What I personally dislike about it is them being hypocritical. Why not be honest and support Bitcoin on the government level so that every citizen can take advantage of investing in Bitcoin? That's what I don't understand.

Re: When Will the Bear Market End?
by
CainCoin
on 08/08/2018, 10:20:39 UTC
I am a Hodler, I have waited for straight 8 difficult months to see the bulls return, we were having some semblance to a boom in the last 2 weeks, now market cap is struggling with 250 Billion $. How long are we going to wait?

I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts for a few years. Only those who have been through the bear market in 2013 will know from the bottom of their hearts that a rebound can take time. I wouldn't call you a holder because you have kept your bitcoins for 8 months. You need to be a lot more patient. You have seen nothing so far.

I had been thinking something like that to myself for some time now. Thanks for reassuring me Wink

Re: The real problem of bitcoin price decline
by
CainCoin
on 08/08/2018, 10:08:01 UTC
Well, I don't see that as a real problem, in fact the huge price drop is "cleaning" the field from all the people who have jumped on the bandvagon at ATH without having any idea of what they were doing. In a way it's echological, it's natural selection.

Yeah, natural selection Wink That's a good one!  Grin

Re: Can Bitcoin Become Mainstream In The Next 10 Years?
by

It looks like it has nearly become mainstream, or, at least, is about to. Beyond any doubt, we'll witness this great time when in order to pay for something you'll need just phone with a wallet, about a second to verify the transaction, and a tine fee you'll never have to worry about. Cool

Re: Which one do you choose?

While it is way more beneficial and commonplace for most of us to use bitcoin for trading, sometimes hodling it as a retirement plan, using it to pay (and get paid) for goods and services is becoming increasingly popular.
I prefer all the options with bitcoin, i.e. trading, hodling it as a retirement plan, and using it to pay for goods and services (getting paid for part of my services in btc helps me a lot in an attempt to survive these turbulent times. I only wish there more people ready and capable of using it for settlements).

Re: Market confidence in bitcoin.

I believe, against all the odds, bitcoin will finally "recover" to restore its high price, which will show that most people, even probably the haters, believe in it more than in any other coin. I might be wrong, or course, but time will show. Let's just wait and support each other in what we do Wink
