Guys, AT doesnt have an asic farm paid with your money. They dont even have the chips. They just took your money and closed the business. With that amount of money they probably can live comfortably for a long time in india or whatever country they came from.

Just a reminder, alpha technology is a limited company. That means if they already spend all the customer money, they might be required by law to cover only up to 500gbp in case of bankruptcy ;]
They still might have some funds left on their bank accounts or paypal. If you still didnt sue them better hurry up before all the money disappears completely.

What a bunch of scammers. They cant treat it as b2b if you didnt order the miners as a company. It doesnt matter what you buy. Maybe mining cryptocurrencies is a business practice, but buying a miner is not and a retail customer can do it.
AT knows they cant win in court and are sending those emails hoping people are lazy or scared enough not to sue them.

Walutomat albo kantor internetowy alior bank. W alior banku zwiekszaja spread w weekend, wiec nie oplaca sie wtedy u nich wymieniac.
Alior wymienia bez 2%+ prowizji?
Oni maja wlasny kantor internetowy (kantor.aliorbank.pl), gdzie jest o wiele lepszy kurs niz automatyczna wymiana. Zadnej dodatkowej prowizji nie ma, poza spreadem. I tak najlepiej sprawdzic kurs we wszystkich kantorach online i wymienic, gdzie jest najkorzystniej.

Re: clDevicesNum returned error, no GPUs usable (Sgminer, Linux)

Make a script to launch your miner:
Code:
#!/bin/bash

export DISPLAY=:0
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100

sgminer -n

Also make sure the drivers are installed correctly and system detects all the gpus. You can verify that by running:
Code:
DISPLAY=:0 aticonfig --odgt --adapter=all
or
Code:
clinfo

Funny thing is that people using paypal. cc or wire transfers are in a much better situation than people using BTC to pay for the promise of scrypt miners  Cheesy

Tbh he fucked up big time. The only thing that saves him is that not a single coin was lost  Wink
Hopefully he will implement some kind of regular backup so thing like that wont happen again.

I doubt that. The whole okcoin transaction database is less than 5GB without compression, and they had thousands of trades per day for more than half a year. The leaked mtgox db with transactions and some user account info was around 2GB afair.
If you add user info, coin addresses and some other info it still cant be that much.

The whole db cant be more than a couple of GB in size, since its a young and small exchange. I doubt its hard or expensive to make a daily backup. Byron could also setup a master/slave db system to avoid such problems in the future.

Did anyone try to build photond for linux? File permissions are wrong, seems like it wasnt even tested before the release..
Code:
make -f makefile.unix

Extra coins from merged mining arent exactly free, right now pool luck is below 50%. So in practice youre trading 50+% of your EXE for MON and PLX.

I'm just curious what hash power would reach an Univesity professor (mathematician), making calculations on paper?
Would he be able to make at least one share?

and what would be easier for him to solve, scrypt or sha?

thanks for your opinions

I think the more interesting question is whether autistic savants can do any type of hashing or be taught to do it. They might be able to find the blocks orders of magnitude faster when compared to current gen asics.

Unfortunately those asics cannot be used to mine coins.

How is that?
Afaik bitcoin asics return nonce, while the asics posted above return hash. Theoretically they could be used for mining, but it would take a lot of i/o operations.
