Hi I've noticed that my miners are now being blocked, I first updated to the most recent edition of CGMiner as that seemed to fix the problem but now even that's stopped. I was at 600Mhz I know it's not much but am I a victim of the new scheme? It's a bit annoying that my miners just stop and I didn't notice because they're still on and working at another location (only one IP though I'm not a botnet)

I think it's simple in the sense of if you've got a ton of capital then it's quite easy as sellers want to use you to expand their potential market and buyers want to use you for ease or whatever you offer. However you've got to be of Paypal level to do that.

Anyone else seeing a spike on the unknown % making up the hash rate? looking at 53% atm with 67 blocks solved by 0.0.0.0 , is this just a default IP the site sets if it can't get one, an error, plain luck or something else?

I understand the thermal output of these boards is quite low due to low power consumption, do you know what wattage is outputted as heat? And also if a single larger fan would be adaquate to cool several of the boards, I'd prefer them as a quiet and power cheap alternative to GPU mining.

There are many ways that I could possibly recover my bitcoins but the fact is that I need to track down the thief first anyway so there really is no point to going into detail about it here.  Please, if you don't have anything to contribute to my original question then don't post in this thread.

I am contributing to the original question tracking him down is useless if you can't do anything afterwards. The police won't be able to help you and paypal and ebay won't help because you're trying to sell a digital good with no proof of transfer and acting against their TOS's

What asking him kindly?

He's got them now, if a bitcoin exchnage can't get a user to give back 511BTC that was accidently sent to them I doubt you'll have much luck.

Nope. Those funds came off Mt. Gox. I'm not sharing that.
Point being, Cablepair was refunded the money so this thread shouldn't be continuing but hey guess what... it is.

You paid him from that account, therefor ethe funds must have entered that account.

His point is that you claimed to not have any BTC to pay him back, and had to get it from your fiance yet there is no transaction for this, seeing as the payment to him is confirmed they must have come from this account and therefore either your fiance must have paid you a while back or you had funds already there, either way you held off refunding him by saying you had no funds when you must have had some.

It's not that, I have the resourses and the stock.. it's the community who thinks that bitcoins are here to be mined and then cashed out for profit. 6 months ago when I started BitCard the idea was fresh and good. I was even going to go off and add some more games that just came out in the mall for this month but then the fiance reminded me of how I've never sold a single item on the site, leading to this.

I'm sorry but you're angry at people not wanting what you offered. Shouldn't you have done market research prior to investing everything then?

I agree, passing on a parcel would be slow, bureaucratic and victim to high levels of theft, why bother passing on a parcel for change if you can claim to have passed it on and just steal it then sell it on ebay or the like?

Orr you can just disappear with 1k bitcoins that your customers 'invested', more than 3x the profit for you and no hassle of watching markets. If you're going to be anonymous don't expect andyone to want to deal with you, considering the past history the community's had.

I own 3 of these myself and the voltage can be changed through software.

They can sell on their own market too? All money that's trasnfered to them for use on their site they hold but can't use for paying bills obviously, so they can just fill buy orders and free up the help USD for use in the company if they wanted too. I doubt they'd do it all at once as then they'd drop the market price and get less compared to doing it in small amounts, that and I doubt they'd let the business get to a point where they'd need to this in any scale anyway.

Define "a significant amount", it doesn't matter if you've got 1 person running 20Ghash or 40 people just running 500Mhash each, the latter probably won't be noticed by landlords or universitys especially if they live in a large dorm where it's split between say 10 people.  I get free electricity in that I don't have to pay it, but be welcome to not believe me it doesn't matter to me if you do.

While bruce can be quite optimistic I think he's a good public figure as he's got drive and composure. Certainly he's done more than I or many others have to make bitcoin into the publics eye

I think this is the same problem I've got, please pardon me if you've answered this but I can't see an explanation reading your posts. Is it just a bug with my system or has the refresh balance for slush's pool disappeared? I don't run it through "other" either, just curious why this has been removed if it's not a problem on my end.
