xmrig is no longer a clone of Wolf0 miner, they really provide their own code with own optimizations.
Including some i found 6 months ago, but not all, so i don't think they hacked my miner, just they knew where to look for performance, as TeamRed hinted me, and i hinted SRB. Experienced devs facing the same problem find the same solution, normal.

Online is the 0.33b-y

* A lot less tested than a regular version, i hope there's no bugs out there
* Fees lowered back to 0.9% on all algos, as I'm no longer 20% faster than the reference code
* More hybrid, so should eat a bit more CPU
* Bad shares on Heavy fixed, at least i had zero during my 5-hour test session
* Light optim ~2% for HD7000 is backported to HD6000
* It was more stable on my rig, but i'm doubting of such observations Cry

That's the standalone .exe on Github, as for the previous b-x

Is there any improvement for R9 390?

Ethereum should have bounced back to the center axle, and the price can go up and down.

Buterin has tweeted both the sharding and PoS are just around the corner. As usually happens after important achievements by developers ETH price will bounce up to conquer new heights. Just sit back and wait.
Long time in anticipation of all this. I hope for an early transition to the POS. And There the price will not keep you waiting, it will go up.

That is right. I think the price will rise soon after the announcement.

I heard menero is forking to monerov which will use a new algo. does this mean 2018 is the death of the crytponight algo and lower AMD prices?

The Pow algorithm will change slightly every 6 months. So I expect the GPU can still use that.

Which algo is monero switching to? It just says to be changed and doesn't say

It will change all the time, so there is no need to know exactly now.

So its literally taken bitcoin 3 days to almost fully recover to its ATH.
Its been a month since we hit $350 and still haven't recovered to that. 6 months since $420. Y'all need to hold better.

The bitcoin and the bitcoin hash are hot spot now. Just be patient, ETH will be the next.

Yes, it's late, look the ROI
You can study, search and keep following the cryptos, possibily will be another rally

If the long term electricity is over $0.15/kWh, it is too late. The ROI will be bad.

Yes, most of the cloud mining sites are scams but only a few websites like genesis mining, hashnet are the sites still paying to the members.
So it's better to research before investing into any cloud mining because there are many people who are going give reviews about cloud mining sites.

Those two are good.

Well, i suggest you, most of the sites are scam, But not every site, and if you want to invest your bitcoins into any cloud mining site than only search about it and may be your friends are doing it than you take help from them, and if you get trust-able mining site than in the start invest your litter amount.

Yes agree, we can say 2016 is the best year cloud mining scam, according to the data of approximately 50.000 btc lost stolen cloud mining scam like hashocean, topmine, and many more. Never invest again to cloud mining. stop cloud mining now and forever.

How do you think of Hashnest?

The best cloudming websites are for me not even relevant anymore because of the fact that these websites are mostly ponzi's..

I don't think cloud mining is legit mining sites nowadays because most of them were scam and mining actually is not profitable these days because mining hardwares consumes more electricity, and you only mine less efficiency due to it takes long hours to mine and yet electricity is expensive for those hardwares.
Yes cloud minig sites are turns to be scam in the long run and also the ROI is not that good there are some cloud mining sites you have to wait for two months for you to earn some profit.
The creators of cloud mining websites know that mining is a very difficult thing these days, they also know that many individuals are eager to mine but do not want to take the trouble of setting up the mining rig themselves. So they create these services, which then become a big disappointment for most investors.

Unless you live in a country like China, I think the only safe form of mining is solar mining, but there are some problems, especially in the early stages, such as initial investing and technical issues.

That is right. But you have to use a good mining site.

It is better to lower the frequency.

Doesn't seem to have an effect yet. The difficulty is rising.

Does that account for the diff drop when ZEC was launched? Without looking at charts Id bet the ETH diff dropped a good bit with ZEC and this increase we see now isnt even close to what it was pre ZEC.

That is right.

If you hear the different advice you will realize that this is not the best way to invest in cryptocurrencies. There are options that can give better returns, just by holding or trading, but we need to put some effort into it.

yeah. there's a lot of advice posted here in this thread so he should be aware now about these cloud mining websites but it will still be his choice if he's going to put his money to some service so we should just let him decide and let him try some such as hashnest or hashflare but just a friendly reminder if you are afraid to lose so much then you should not put an amount of money that you are afraid to lose.

At present, the cloud mining price is quite expensive. Even for the Hashnest, if the difficulty rise more than 5% every 14 days, it is not profitable.

Currently solution for all those who are having 2G cards will be to move to Zcash which has almost exactly same profitability as ETH. Sell ZEC and buy ETH for the same price Smiley
I am sorry this is not a technical advice from any point of view but a crappy solution to unfortunate miner buddies.

Those cards will be more profitable to mine the ZCash anyway. I have all my 7970, 7950 running the ZCash.

Here's a compiled Windows version of nheqminer for CPU and GPU:

https://github.com/ocminer/nheqminer/releases/tag/0.2a

It works only with nvidia GPUs. No AMD/OpenCL support yet Sad

We need some AMD/OpCL miners.

Re: Where do exchanges get their Bitcoin?
by

Exchanges get their bitcoin from users and investors.  Some exchanges offers share token and sold it to the market.  Next is users are paying for fees everytime the made a trading transaction.  There is also this withdraw transaction where they charge you a certain percentage of you withdrawal.

I think it is mainly from the transactioin fees. Some times, in the Poloniex, there are huge volume, so there is lot of fee.

as i know, usually the exchanger get their bitcoin from transaction fee, exchanger usually charge percentage amount when you do transaction, but for coinbase they got their profit from selling and purchasing bitcoin by user

The transaction fee is the main income stream for the exchanges. They also lend out the digital currencies.

i think exchangers buying it when the price just seems so profitable, and i think how exchangers could get profit is like when people doing trading, buying at the low price and selling it in the higher price, thing that make it different, exchangers can't sell the bitcoin immediately as traders does

I think exchange does not have to trade to get the bitcoin. It can just get the bitcoin from the trading fees.

all type of exchange get their coins from us they charge us fees for not only in withdrawl but also at every order or trades we do. we get coins from other users but exchangers make profit even if we don't
That is how they make their bread and butter... from those withdrawal fees.
Anybody know how much bitfinex was charging in these fees to their customers?
I know it depends on the amount of the withdraws but still what was the percentage? Huh
I bet it was very high or why else would their customers not want to withdraw their funds in their accounts on a daily basis?  Roll Eyes

I use the Poloniex, the fee they charge is 0.0001 or 0.06 US dollar. So if you withdraw $2000, it is reasonable fee.

1x XFX BE ref - 95W (GPU-Z) - 30MH/s
3x PowerColor - 90W (GPU-Z) - 30MH/s

Total Power draw 735W on the wall

using Tighter strap
First I set to reach the target speed (30MH/s)
then lowering power limits down to the stable points.
Each GPU have different bios parameters.

Win 7 - Crimson 16.7.3 (Configured using RDP - no monitor attached)

Did you change the timing strap in the bios or using other tools? The efficiency sees not no high as it is 735W for 120 MH/s.
