Re: Why Bitcoin is better than banknotes
by
CanineDanny
on 18/08/2018, 10:53:49 UTC
In many ways, yes, it is a lot better: reliability, cost of transaction, etc., etc., but it becomes totally useless when you have to make an off-line payment in a country or a place with no or limited internet access. You can't even buy a bottle of water or a hamburger. Think about it. You can have a lot of BTC in your digital and hard wallets striding along the street in a foreign town and if they don't have internet, you're broke for them! Wink
There must be some way out of it...

Re: Please Explain
by

Despite the fact this thing is (or should be) pretty obvious, many of those who joined the cryptocommunity after the last year's Bitcoin ATH had hoped the BTC price to keep growing and them keep getting richer.
Of course, they need this important piece of advice from you and they certainly need to turn the pages of the recent Bitcoin price history. That might help.

If taxation is done as intended, it definitely is not theft. However, it's only human to want to use taxpayers' money for personal financial gain and, probably, very few people can resist it Sad

Nope. I don't.
However, sometimes I envy those people who do believe in God because I can see being a believer helps them.

There are loads of them, really. Even here, in this forum. But then again, maybe they are or might be not that stupid. What if they are posted on purpose?  Cool

Re: national cryptocurrency: how far are we from seeing a country mainly rely on one
by

"national cryptocurrency"
These two words coming together sound like an oxymoron. The word "national" here is ironic because it contradicts the main idea behind any cryptocurrency, i.e. decentralization. Aren't I right?

"Cryptocurrencies use decentralized control as opposed to centralized electronic money and central banking systems."

Re: Banks to start trading crypto sooner

I don't think staying away from Bitcoin or crypto is good for banks, so yes, I guess they will start playing the lucrative game soon. Looks like they are still working on their own rules of the game Wink But when they join, it should be more exciting.  Cool

Re: What are Bitcoins worth
by
CanineDanny

So i am new to this so i want to know what are bitcoin worth? What can you use them for? Where can you mine them? And can you turn them into cash?

Do your research first my friend, and yes, you are now starting to find out all about it here. But it would be more wiser to go to the internet and find it for yourself.

I couldn't agree more, there's a lot to be said about Bitcoin, so here's a starting point, if you like:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin
But there are lots of pretty good books and documentaries about it. Familiarizing with them first might be a good idea. After that you will definitely have more questions to be asked here Wink

Re: Thailand Legalize Crypto currency

If the info is true, it's a very good sign because I hear they used to have a somewhat hostile attitude towards cryptocurrency in Thailand. So, if they have changed they attitude, it is an incredibly exciting news meaning we might see some more favorable developments in the crypto area soon.

Re: Is it too late to invest in bitcoin? Is it a bubble?
by
CanineDanny
on 30/07/2018, 10:53:40 UTC
It's never too late for Bitcoin and NO, it isn't a bubble. But I understand why people are prone to thinking that kind of stuff.
Unfortunately, a lot of hype and adverse publicity referring to Bitcoin as a bubble somewhat ruins its reputation by making people feel prejudiced towards the most trusted cryptocurrency.
However, neither bad publicity, nor prejudice can totally ruin Bitcoin's reputation and with time, as people become more aware of what it really is, the Bitcoin will be more trustworthy and then those who invested in it will the winners with the rest of them wishing they had done it before.

That's a neat idea for all the countries to launch their own cryptocurrencies. I know it sounds odd because of the decentralized nature of crypto, but I don't think it's impossible;)

Re: Why do we need to regulate digital money
by
CanineDanny
on 11/07/2018, 21:23:02 UTC
Digital anarchy sounds tempting, of course, but most people I believe want to feel secure, so governments must come up with a fair way to regulate digital money. Without it we might face trouble.
