Re: New Exchanges Are Coming? But It is OK?
by
CarTrick
on 04/12/2018, 00:36:43 UTC
As more coins enter the Blockchain ecosystem, more exchanges are required to ensure a well-facilitated trading system of cryptocurrencies. This is where trading takes place to give meaning and value to the coins we possess. It will even be better if every country has an exchange aside the top exchanges in the world.

I agree that exchanges will enable a well-facilitated financial system. But wouldn’t it be better to just have one exchange for all countries? I mean that’s the purpose and function of crypto right –to serve as a universal financial instrument? Just like how Virie describes its distributed exchange system. It’s a “market without borders.” If a crypto is structurally capable of being one, don’t you think it’s more convenient to have just one exchange?

I don’t know about you guys, but I’d rather have a smart home that is secure and efficient, rather than give that all up because of an unfounded paranoia about one’s privacy being lost. Well, you might lose more than just your privacy when you don’t embrace technology.

Re: Aside from cryptocurrency, blockchain is now also into digital immortality
by
CarTrick

Within the next 50 years it is highly likely that we will have DNA storage technology, capable of holding an immortal blockchain with infinite data.

At this point we could even start storing all of our existence in a way that could be ingrained in a newborns psyche, giving them a base to continually develop and learn from.

https://www.wired.com/story/the-rise-of-dna-data-storage/

Interesting read. With blockchain and AI, storage of data will be easier and more efficient and I don’t think there’s a limit to how much data in can handle. I think it’s possible to be digitally immortalized. I’ve even read about the digital storage of memories, so I think it supports the claim of OP.

I think an exchange system that is completely free of moderation and centralization would be a great in so many ways. Just as long it has security features to match, preventing fraud or theft, I think that would make a great financial instrument.

Re: Would you consider buying Facebook's new AR glasses?

I think when Google Glass came out, a lot of people were intimidated by it. They looked like goggles that scientists and IT professionals would use. But if Facebook comes out with more sleek-looking glasses with social features comparable to smartphone apps, then I’d probably give it a go. I wonder how much it will cost though.

Re: What if every country has its own crypto currency
by
CarTrick
on 28/11/2018, 00:08:37 UTC
I think having one cryptocurrency for each country defeats the purpose and design of a digital currency. That fact that it has a digital structure should mean it can be applied to any country. That’s why I’m gaining intertest on the Virie Market. I like how it describes its virtual marketplace as a market without borders –because that’s what crypto should be –an easy-to-use financial instrument that can be used, anytime, anywhere, correct?

Re: will decentralised exchanges be the future ?
by
CarTrick
on 23/11/2018, 00:31:11 UTC

Yes, absolutely. Decentralized exchanges are the future. And right now, I think there are exchanges that are proving to have lots of potential. Came across this new coin/distributed exchange network called Virie, which allows users to buy and sell currencies, commodities and services without the need of using third-party services. One could eventually purchase a house through this mechanism. This potentially, will facilitate all financial transactions by making them less expensive and more efficient for everyone. Within this system is also a marketplace and escrow system where one could buy and sell coins directly (not through the stock exchange). What do you think?

Re: Is Bitcoin overhyped?
by
CarTrick
on 23/11/2018, 00:27:01 UTC
I think it can be overhyped in a sense that some very passionate bitcoin supporters will say that bitcoin is king and will be forever number one. Sometimes, their enthusiasm may cloud the facts. Yes, bitcoin is the pioneer but we have to keep an open mind that in terms of features and potential, there may be other coins that could be stronger, am I right? And I’m referring to crypto as not just an investment, but as an actual currency.

Re: Will the quest for a Virtual world help us improve the real world?
by
CarTrick
on 21/11/2018, 00:45:40 UTC
Yes, I do think it’s possible for a virtual world to exist. We can never underestimate the power of technology, right? You mentioned it yourself –who could have ever thought we could have virtual currencies? And now we have AI, 5G plus, we’ll be having self-driving cars soon. This momentum is pointing to many things possible.

Re: Are you ready to use cryptocurrency in everyday life?
by
CarTrick
on 21/11/2018, 00:43:14 UTC
Why not. Cryptocurrency is no different from ordinary money. The principle of operation is the same. There is no difference with the card, what is the bank go to the store. Now a lot of projects are aimed at the development of the cryptocurrency economy.

My thoughts exactly. The principle of operation is the same, but even better. Transactions will be more efficient, faster and even safer. Some alternative virtual currencies now, are even starting to exhibit lots of potentially life-changing features. An example of which is virie. It features a blockchain-based virtual market place that comes with an escrow system. Market entries are non-editable, non-erasable and cannot be hacked. I think money will be safer virtually, to be honest.

Re: Innovation in technology

I’d say Virtual and augmented reality are the most innovative. According to recent news, Facebook and Huawei will be coming out with their own augmented reality glasses. I mean if those huge companies are making huge investments on it, it must be the technology has lots of potential, right?

Re: What do you want to see for Bitcoin - A stable or a volatile market?
by
CarTrick
on 19/11/2018, 00:50:39 UTC
I think the answer to this question is dependent on one’s goal for crypto. For traders, I think they’ll opt for volatility because that means potential for more profit, but for practical and future forward thinkers who want to see a future with a fully functional digital currency, they’d want stability. How can we strike a balance between the two?

Re: can cryptocurrency succeed?
by
CarTrick
on 15/11/2018, 00:31:17 UTC
with the help of blockchain, crypto has the opportunity and also a great potential to be successful. digital asset or crypto time this was entered earlier. in this stage the emerging growth of users, a growing number of platforms supporting and also the development of technology that will make it more innovative crypto and get into areas of life. starting from it then the crypto will be successful for the future because it will take time to get a feel for crypto globally.

Excellent points. I like what you said about “the development of technology that will make it more innovative” because I’m certainly noticing more unique features with new altcoins nowadays. Have you heard of Virie? I’m currently very curious about it. Based on what I’ve read so far, its boasts of a blockchain-based virtual Market, a Distributed Exchange Network that is non-centralized, providing a free trade infrastructure aiming to create space for e-commerce.
Sure looks like crypto has come a long way since bitcoin, huh?

Re: Future of Technology ??

I think tech will be so advanced that we could we would be co-existing with in an extra-ordinary way. With technologies such as AI, blockchain, VR and AR showing so much progress, we could actually be part-robot or even have digital versions of ourselves. Or superhuman as Elon Musk puts it. I heard these concepts are already being explored. Would you be willing to live this way in the future though?

Won't stability mean that we could finally use it as an actual digital/virtual currency? For sure a stable price will help towards achieving mass adoption, right?

Re: Will the rise of immersive technologies increase the popularity of Bitcoin?
by
CarTrick
on 13/11/2018, 00:51:25 UTC
Many people have predicted that we will soon witness the fall of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies despite the fact that they are strongly holding up in the stock market. In light of the new developments in technology, is it safe to assume that the sudden interests in immersive technologies is the boost needed to make Bitcoin and other virtual currencies the future of finance?

I don’t think bitcoin will fall just yet. But I guess you have a point in saying that the increasing popularity of technologies can help create awareness of crypto. How can it not, when technologies somehow complement each other? There’s blockchain, AI, 5G, virtual and augmented realties –for sure a virtual currency will fit perfectly in that group.

Re: Why should governments accept Crypto currencies?
by
CarTrick
on 13/11/2018, 00:46:43 UTC
Governments that are more innovative and secure seem to have a different view about crypto, and that they realize the importance of cryptocurrencies in our world today. For instance, Japan has already accepted bitcoin as a legal tender, while regulating the trade in the country. So of course, governments can benefit from crypto as well. And didn’t bitcoin account for a remarkable portion of GDP growth in Japan?

Re: how governments can regulate digital currencies?
by
CarTrick
on 08/11/2018, 00:42:55 UTC
When it comes to regulation, we could take cue from Japan.
“In April 2017, acting on the advice of the FATF, Japan revised its Payment Services Act. The revision included the legalization of virtual currency as a form of payment, as well as, new licensing requirements for exchanges operating within the country. Technically, Japan does not consider Bitcoin as legal tender because it’s not issued from any central government, but they do acknowledge that it can be used to purchase items.”

Re: centralize money vs. decetralized money (bitcoin)

bitcoin is not a virtual currency but a digital money, many people are afraid of bitcoin because of its volatility

But certainly bitcoin has the potential to become a virtual currency. That fact that it can be used in exchange for goods and services (plus we already have ATMS for it), shows that it’s possible, don’t you think?

Re: Risks are still "stalking" Bitcoin users

Risks are always part of any investment. There is no such thing as an easy investment. Bitcoin has existed for 10 years now and acceptance continues to grow, To help you gain more confidence, do your due diligence ---do research, join discussions in forums and study the market. Information is key.
