I have not visited this thread in a long time and wanted to know if keeping the bytes in our wallets is the best thing right now or should we start doing some trading with it? I think there has been a decline in price over the last ten months as I remember the price when I bought was sitting at 0.3 btc now is sitting at 0.03 btc or am I reading something wrong?

remember were bitcoin was at the time byteball was at 0.3 btc Wink

beware of mymue.com - it's a SCAM!

today @jessedain from twitter was promoting it with 14 available shares. after i transferred more than 20k of MUE to the mymue account the shares disappeared and the withdrawal did not work (i tried and then recognized in the blockexplorer that the coins were already withdrawn from that address 6 minutes after i sent it).

why could an organization like monetaryunit promote such shit without proving anything (@monetaryunit retweetet this!)?!

1- I hate people that take the word SCAM and its derivatives lightly especially based out on ignorance
2- Do you understand how things work or just shooting from your hip?

Fact 1:  yes there were 14 shares available and they were gone "11 minutes" after they became available
Fact 2:  someone had 14*10K MUE in their balance on MyMUE.com and grabbed them shares as soon as they were available

Conclusion:
  - Shares are a hot item
  - at lease 1 person with +14*10K MUE trusts the platform to leave that balance there to grab shares as and when they become available

Note 1: There is something called "Cold Storage" for the safe keeping of peoples coins... you missed that fact from your own statement: " withdrawal did not work"  which means you tried to do a withdrawal... and i guess its still pending which means "your account has the balance" .. and the coins are in cold storage for safe keeping

Note 2: Have you used Coinbase and its class of services? how long does it take for you to move coins from cold storage?

So, please, next time you have a usage issue with anything that @monetaryunit endorses.. talk to us before making blind uneducated accusations simply because when addressed, your claim will - in most cases - disintegrate.

PS: 1- I'm not the developer or MyMUE.com and do not have access to release your coins
       2- Withdrawals from MyMUE gets processed periodically post audits
       3- If you cared much about your withdrawal happening immediately, you could've jumped on the MUE slack and asked for support instead

sorry, i was kind of overreacting, cause the website seems not to be very good coded (no txid, no confirmation info, etc..) and looked then a bit fishy to me.

 it took around 10h to get my coins back, but at the end everything is ok!

Will the community fork be some sort of hard fork, and on what block, and any ESP we have now be available on that fork? Similar to Bitcoin Cash?

who says, there is a fork? as i know ESP is going forward as planned, but with some delay.

hi,
why don't you provide a better way for downloading the bootstrap file?
it's really a pain to get it directly to a linux server, cause megatools are not available in the main repos of almost any linux distro.
thanks!

hi,
i am staking since a few days with the newest osx wallet (v0.8.4.2 patch-5) and from 8 stakings are only 3 confirmed.
is it normal, to generate that much orphans?
kind regards

Don't worry about staking orphans. Contrary to POW, you loose nothing.

thanks! i know that i am not loosing anything, but also not winning Wink

my question was more, if it's normal to have that much orphans.
the orphans are around 60% and i never had this with other POS coins - but only, when something went wrong.

this looks strange, right?
i am at block 104255, but staking is "true"!

do i have to update the wallet, or should this one still work?

Re: [ANN] AppleBytes - the cryptocurrency for the arts!
by
CarlGraph

Why those musicians, painters, sculptors, actors etc still not on this forum? ArtByte need more support and promotion  Smiley

We have worked with thousands of artists in our first two years, and only 3 have even heard of this forum. Our user community is real artists and art lovers, not "crypto-geeks". We market to the users on Twitter, FB, LinkedIn, our blog and various art forums. We explain crypto in nontechnical terms and 99% of all our communication is aimed at nontechnical users. Here is an example from our blog explaining cryto-currencies to everyday users:

You keep saying that you have worked with "thousands of artists" since ABY's inception.. But can you prove that?

Your only platform for artists is your site music.artbyte.me , which 1) doesn't work properly and 2) NOBODY uses it. I know this for a fact because no new albums have been uploaded since I last uploaded mine >6 months ago.

Seems to me like you're just bullshitting about having worked with 1000s of artists.. what use do they even have for ArtByte? Unless you can prove it, seems like you're straight up lying about this..

yes, i am also intersted in proving this. could you please post some links/examples? otherwise it looks more like some bla bla to exit-pump a dead coin...!

i did mine espers 2-3month with an older 8core and got a nice reward (around 30mill).

now i swapped to ESP2 and bought a little bit, so i have around 5mill ESP2 and i am trying to stake (single, no pool).
does that make sense, or is it a too small amount to get a reasonable reward out of it (ok, now everyone would say buy more, no fomo please)?

thanks for your thoughts Wink

When will you have the wallet off ESP 2.0?

@Everyone

Sorry for not having the new full installer released yet (with mining+CCS features enabled). We've just been catching up on work now that the swap is rolling and we can focus on a quite a few things that needed attention.

Github was updated with the correct Ports for hardcoded nodes. (Windows Client will be updated tomorrow morning as well)

Thank you all for sticking by us through this! You support is what we thrive on.

means, you can allready build it from github source, otherwise you have to wait a bit...

Whoops! Sorry guys, The Ports did change from 22447 to 22448. Must have not done that for that file. Fixing now, standby for github update (this is what happens when you don't sleep much lol) Always the minor details

thanks for all your work and hopefully soon a good sleep Wink

my wallet is running did sync now, first espers recieved.
do i need to do something more to start staking, or does it start automatically?

Code:
make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=
now i get this error
Code:
g++: error: leveldb/libleveldb.a: No such file or directory
g++: error: /root/Espers/src/leveldb/libleveldb.a: No such file or directory
g++: error: /root/Espers/src/leveldb/libmemenv.a: No such file or directory

hi,

it seems the new wallet does not build with upnpc v 1.9 and after updating do v 2.0 neither.
i dont know what to do with these errors, maybe one of you knows Smiley

Code:
net.cpp: In function 'void ThreadMapPort()':
net.cpp:981:68: error: invalid conversion from 'int*' to 'unsigned char' [-fpermissive]
     devlist = upnpDiscover(2000, multicastif, minissdpdpath, 0, 0, &error);
                                                                    ^~~~~~
net.cpp:981:74: error: too few arguments to function 'UPNPDev* upnpDiscover(int, const char*, const char*, int, int, unsigned char, int*)'
     devlist = upnpDiscover(2000, multicastif, minissdpdpath, 0, 0, &error);

thanks!

We'll look into it. Thanks for the heads up.
