but on the other hand doges community on reddit also does a lot of charity
Tip:

Using a reddit post about someones' dying child as an opportunity to promote your coin is fucking sickening.  I saw this happening today.  It has nothing to do with charity, it's just blatant opportunism, and it's pathetic.  Put your morons on a leash.

Want to contribute to charity?  Send money in a way that doesn't involve trying to get a dying child and their parent(s) to become a poster child for your idiotic meme in return.  I know donating to charity without trolling for recognition or free publicity is a foreign concept on the modern internet, but try it out some time.

You should consider keeping your important (e.g. bitcoin/litecoin/namecoin/etc) wallets on one virtual machine, and running new/shady alts in another.  I'm actually surprised more people don't do this, as it would prevent 99% of the theft incidents I've seen.

Never use either of those virtual machines to browse the web or do anything else outside of working with those wallets.  Never install any software that you don't absolutely need on them.

And my dumb ass have VMs and I'm not doing this.

This is great advice, thanks Smiley
No problem.  Be sure to back up these VMs regularly as well.  It might save you a lot of trouble some day, and creating a backup of a virtual machine is as easy as it gets.

What's a good VM to use and where do you get a free win install for VM's? I remember doing it a while back and there was a free ISO given by Microsoft, but not quite sure.
I'd suggest running Ubuntu rather than Windows on the VMs.  I'd suggest Debian or some other Linux distro, but I'm making the assumption since you're looking for a windows VM that you aren't too familiar with Linux.

Posted before finishing my thought process...

VMWare and VirtualBox both offer snapshot capability.  Personally, I create at least 1 snapshot each day, and keep a full backup of the VMs on a set of external drives that I rotate out between home and work (create backup, bring drive 1 to work, take drive 2 home, etc...).

Remember that you're basically carrying your bank account around now, and every time you browse the web or install something on the same machine as a wallet, you're trusting someone else to be left alone in your vault.

There is nothing stable or secure about this or anything else you've done.  Stop pretending to be something you're not before more people get screwed over.  You've basically admitted yourself that you don't test anything, and that fact is pretty obvious after you got hacked and had your exchange back up in less than a week, ready to accept more money you don't know how to deal with properly.

There is no "openex team", it's just you and possibly some other clueless, overconfident kid.

i heard from a reliable source that the txid-000 bug still exists. how the fuck did u relaunch the site without fixing known bugs?
Because he doesn't know what he's doing, and is in a rush to get more people to naively trust him with their money so that he can pat himself on the back and tell himself "i'm good enough, smart enough, and doggonit, people like me".  When he gets hacked again, which is only a matter of time, he will once again lash out at everyone who tells him he's in over his head, and tell himself it would have happened to anyone else, and his 6 months of experience gives him all the info he needs to be able to say that.

Time to get back to trying to re-invent the wheel, since the thousands of developers before him with massive amounts of experience clearly had no idea what they were doing.

I use Dwolla, but only because I despise Paypal.

For "Bitcoin" buy/sells?
No, I meant in general for online payments.

I think the idiots who are already counting their millions after buying 1 bitcoin are going to end up very sad in the future.  Get rich quick fantasies are ruining crypto.

Sorry Dude, please just don't be offended, but it'funny to see it written by someone called Catcoin lol
I was in the process of putting together a "catcoin" that had the goal of helping no-kill animal shelters and animal welfare organizations, but someone "pre-announced" the current catcoin about a week before I was going to release mine.  My username has nothing to do with the current catcoin, and I should probably change it since I'm not particularly fond of it.

So, it's really not all that funny... though I see what you were getting at.

hey cock server, the application is extremely secure.
Based on what?  The fact that you couldn't think of any ways in which it wasn't secure?  Look at your track record and total lack of experience, then consider thinking twice before making statements you can't back up.  You have the technical knowledge of a best buy employee.

Quote
it was the server that was compromised. also i didn't write any of the trade engine code
Then how is it, exactly, that you can claim it's secure?

You look worse every time you continue to try to act like you have this under control.  It's painfully obvious that you are completely clueless.

It's terrifying to me that people are actually standing up for this kid and trying to encourage him to "keep trying", despite his obvious lack of technical ability to safely run an exchange.  It's like people want their coins to go missing.

Either that, or people really like the idea of having easy targets out there, and can't resist encouraging this one to continue giving them somewhere to steal from.

The sad thing is, a "secure-server.sh" script would probably be a huge step forward for most of the new coin exchanges, online wallets, etc... that have been showing up recently.

Doesn't help with publicity when no exchange will accept this coin as they would be sued to bankruptcy.

I'd like to see them try and sue an exchange like btc-e.
I doubt BTC-e would be dumb enough to put themselves in that position to begin with.

I really hope Coinye was put together by the creators of a certain cartoon.  If not, the devs are pretty short on originality, and that's sad.

I'd take it one step further and say be weary of ANY bitcoin related site that is new and or tries to keep a certain level of anonymity .
Good advice.  Lots of scammers and morons out there ready to take your money, unfortunately.

Encouraging people to keep trying when their failures will ultimately cost other people money is incredibly irresponsible.
