It seems like there's some connection issue with the frontend and something in the backend as the information on the frontpage isn't updating either.

Sorry if this has been asked before but with a quick search I couldn't find it mentioned anywhere. Is the sol/s displayed the effective hashrate (meaning minus the devfee) or with the devfee (meaning our effective hashrate is the displayed sol/s*0.98)?

Could anyone care to explain why when I tried to move small amounts (10 PND) to Cryptopia, I got the error that I may have already spent those coins and my balance kept going down by huge amounts? Now the blockchain explorer shows (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pnd/block.dws?1861310.htm) that my balance has gone down and that I've sent about 2 million PND to some random addresses. The coins I sent to Cryptopia have also appeared there despite the error and PandaBank saying the transaction was conflicted. Can't see current balance in PandaBank yet as I'm currently redownloading the blockchain.

It looks like you were either far from synced up or had a local problem on your PandaBank when you were sending the 10, you seemed to send out a bunch of 10 PND transactions.  The random addresses you sent to should be your own change addresses, when PandaBank sends it finds an appropriate input(s) and usually their is more than required so the remainder goes to one of your change addresses. You should see your full balance again once you are fully synched up.  Always keep a backup of your wallet.dat and I would keep one off the pc's hard disk even, for maximum safety in case the hard drive should fail or be failing.  Your wallet.dat contains your private key and all your addresses and labels and even though it is not that large a file contains everything you need to recover your PandaBank and accounts / balances.

Let us know if you need help, or have questions or concerns.  There are ways to speed up your re-sync effort if you want using a snapshot or bootstrap file.  There is also an installer that makes it fast and easy to install the latest PandaBank with a recent snapshot just be sure to have your wallet.dat backed up and safe.   There is also a commandline option -rescan to rescan your PandaBank that can re scan your wallet against its copy of the blockchain..

Yeah, I did several of those 10 PND transactions as I was trying to see if it started working at some point. I had the PandaBank in Lite mode and synced up (according to it) when I did those transactions and I remembered after that post that it probably was something like those change addresses that was going on. Hybrid mode doesn't work for me so I started downloading the whole blockchain in classic mode, but that's a pain in the ass so I downloaded the snapshot from your links. Also noticed that I may have been using an old version as my PandaBank said it was version 3.0.3 and the website has 3.0.4.

Problem is now that I keep getting this when trying to open PandaBank.
Code:
EXCEPTION: St9bad_alloc
std::bad_alloc
C:\Program Files (x86)\Digital Pandacoin\pandacoin-qt.exe in Runaway exception

Never mind, got it working. I think I might have had the PandaBank in hybrid or lite mode and it kept running out of memory when trying to load the blockchain. Made sure I was in classic mode before I copied in the snapshot and it started working.

And I have several copies of my wallet.dat saved both online and offline.

EDIT:
Lite mode gets stuck at this when syncing.
Code:
ERROR: AcceptBlock() : rejected by hardened checkpoint lock-in at 1675000
ERROR: ProcessBlock() : AcceptBlock FAILED

Is there a recommended internet connection for Pandabank to run properly? I wonder if my poor bandwidth is the reason for a lot of my issues. I live in a pretty rural part of south west England and my bandwidth usually caps at about 300k and that is shared between 3 family members who all regularly use the internet. My latest issue is with the interest not coming through, I know I will get it eventually but I have 6 lots of various amounts going back as far as the 9th of January and that one seems to have been frozen on 339 conformations for ages, the others range from 1 to 206 conformations. Cheers for the assistance as always.

I had the same problem that after a while, my stakes got stuck at some amount of confimations (and wallet showed that it was behind the network). This was in hybrid mode so I decided to go back to classic and haven't had that problem again.

Anyone else get not accepted interest only? I got unaccepted interest back then too but only once in a while. Now all I get is unaccepted. Pandabank is v3.0

I would assume you are using the hybrid mode? Try switching to classic mode; it worked for me. The only problem is that it will have to re-download the blockchain, so a couple hours.  Sad

Patch to fix this is supposedly (and hopefully) coming very soon.

Hope PND Developers will help me send me those interest gained back  after investigating TXID's.

You won't be getting those interests as they were rejected. But don't worry, you haven't lost anything. As the stakes were rejected, the maturity of the coins isn't resetted so you'll get the interest eventually.

This questions why my stakes were rejected? There is reason behind every act. PND developers needs to investigate and answer appropriately.

Normally it would mean that someone just were faster than you submitting the block. Like with mining when you find a block but it gets rejected because someone found it just before you. Getting one rejected time to time is completely normal. The real question here is why you and I (and maybe others) are getting so many rejected.

Ozzke/Linux_Mintpal/John and Other PND Developers.

I am been facing some wired kind of problem. Ever since I upgraded my wallet to PND 3.0 I am having issues earning interest. Check the attachment.

http://imgur.com/QOZhhUq

I am running
PandaCoin version v3.0.0
PandaBank Hybrid
Wallet is not locked or encrypted.

No firewall or router blocking PandaBank. PandaBank was online all the time; just got ballon popped up intrest gained and right after 10-15 minutes it turned Question Mark?

I can send all TXID if you wish.

Please help!

Wondering is it just me, or others are facing this problem too

It's not just you. Try redownloading the blockchain. I'm currently waiting on the next interest to see if it helped or not.

The address is support@buyPND.com. It's at the bottom of the page. Smiley

EDIT: Also, encrypting and locking the wallet is the same thing.

Oh right I see that now cheers, I think it was because it has the extra dot on the end, I have become used to email addresses being a link.

My wallet is unlocked yet it is encrypted, if they are the same thing then how is this possible?

To be honest, I'm not totally sure. I just looked in pandabank and noticed that the Lock button and "Encrypt PandaBank..." opens the same window. If they are the same (someone has to confirm this), I guess when you unlock it, it means that you decrypt the wallet.

Looks like my wallet is encrypted after all but I didn't actually click the encryption option in the menu, I locked it and unlocked it again so I could stake but that is a different thing is it not? Maybe I don't really understand this but I found it quite confusing anyway.

Also all my Pandacoin's that I have so far I traded through an exchange but I have been promoting the coin to friends and family so wanted to test the pay through Paypal option and yesterday purchased 146,179.83 PND almost dead on 24 hours from writing this post and the funds have yet to show up in my wallet. Also just a note on that, the buypnd.com site says "if you are experiencing any delay please email us" yet I searched the whole site I could not find an email address any where and I also searched the main pandacoinpnd.org site and could not find an email address there either. I think this is a bit confusing.

The address is support@buyPND.com. It's at the bottom of the page. Smiley

What the hell is wrong with you guys?

Price for PND has been stable around 1-1.2 mill market cap. It's bitcoin price going up that caused the change in value in terms of satoshi. But with USD value it's still the same.

Nothing is wrong with us. Smiley
I'm well aware that our market cap stayed about the same (it did dip to around 950k a couple of times though) and I did say that the delay was/is (most likely) only partly the reason why the price has dropped compared to BTC. One other reason being, like you said, the sudden increase in BTC price making people cash out.

Can always happen that someone got in troubles or personal issues
but the announcement to deliver in 7 days and then no more concrete
infos about the timeline is critical for a coin that is no pump and dump
cause from outside that looks and had the same effect like market manipulation
if you take a look at the charts.
(don`t scream and yelling, we all apreciate the hard work of the devs)

I hope a lot new people found the way to PND and profited from the cheap coins.

I completely agree. The recent price drop is most likely, at least partly, caused by this delay and I think the PR team could have handled this better. They should have made some kind of more official announcement (twitter, facebook, google+, etc) when it was starting to become obvious that they wouldn't be meeting the deadline with the update. I don't count a single dev post on bct telling about the delay very official or being sufficient.

You are naive.  Twitter is full of these fake celebrity account.

Just because the twitter account posts an opinion you like (like pointing out IPO scams) and links YouTube videos anybody can access, doesn't mean it's the actual person.

Not proof of anything.  I'll wait until somebody can submit evidence that she ever mentions Panda coin on a video.  Don't pull some shit like: "it's mentioned in this video" and you link some 30 minute bull$hit nobody has time to view.   You can link the actual second in a YouTube video and last I check "Panda coin" in Romanian is "Panda coin".

Of course they won't because this is just misleading fake advertising to pump a $hitcoin.  It's probably a twitter account belonging to Iconic Expert

What exactly is your problem? I posted the link to the interview where she supposedly mentions pandacoin and if you had actually read what I wrote, you would have noticed the "Someone who speaks Romanian could check if she does actually mention Pandacoin.". As I don't speak Romanian, it's very hard for me to try to pinpoint where she could mention it as I don't understand anything of the context they are talking about!

I think that is her.  I posted a YouTube video earlier.  I had to work through lunch so I couldn't post another picture of more things I purchased.  People like Pandacoin better than Bitcoin because it is faster and the price stays the same.  People can usually convert PND to local money after a shift without loosing money. There was a poster who said a taxi driver would beat you if you tried to pay with Bitcoin.  This is true.  However Panda is sometimes more fast than a credit card so even evil taxi drivers in Bucharest do not become too angry waiting.  I do not want people to think all of Romania is using Pandacoin as a 2nd currency.  I was a foreigner so even the dive bars where friends took me were not the "real" dive bars they would probably go to on their own.

You mentioned that the Android wallet didn't work right. What was wrong with it/why wasn't it used?

Did you read the OP and the whole thread? The trolls are there trying to drown out what looks like grass roots real world use of Pandacoin in Romania and Bulgaria. There's absolutely none of the hype pumpers would use.  Some guy is just talking about his travel experiences and stuff he brought using Panda.  Of course the trolls went wild.

Does anyone know about what's going on here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=846866.0

I would have thought something like this would be all over the thread by now ....  Smiley

Looks like a bunch of trolls nay-saying Pandacoin. That kind of thread just makes me angry, and usually people like that don't listen to reason and don't really read very well or at all, and think they know everything.

Not really worth the time to bother attempting to change their minds imo.

You mentioned in the thread that the Android wallet doesn't work right. What's wrong with it/why wasn't it used?

If what is said in that thread is actually true (the devs have to get to the bottom of this, true or not), it needs to be promoted BIG.
