Dear customers,

we have re-opened our pre-orders.
Every new order will have the guarantee
to make refunds at any time. Refunds will
be given the whole time period until we ship.
Every new order must enter a bitcoin address,
refunds will be only made on this address,
be careful!
Also we have decided to take refunds from
our first customers, just write us a email
per support but it is important you
use the same email as in your made order.
Every refund will be processed within 48 hours.

We also have updated our order pages,
through our new manufacture and higher costs
as calculated before we adjusted our price to
1299$. Every order made before this change
is not affected.

We have also adjusted our shipment date
to a timeframe between july and august.
Through the problems occured and our
cancled contract we have to wait until
the production can start, until the production
starts we will continue optimizing the ct-80.
We will keep you updated.

With best regards,

Your CedarTec Team.

Dear bitcointalk community and customers,

we apologize for any inconveniences.
It is hard to cover all the needings of
you in this short time frame.
We have published all things we have promised
and will publish all the other things we have promised.
What we need is time, it is our first time we produce
and sell a large amount of products.
Especially the bitcoin asic business is very complicated and
the organization is not easy.

As you see we can not ship at the 14th may, we have not published
further informations, because we are talking with the factorys
to make a next appointment to produce the chips. chassis and the pcb.
The most other parts can be ordered, they are not our main problem.

Through our delay we was not able to keep the deadline, the result
was they canceled our appointment to the first may.

We will publish more informations when we have the appointed day.

Just give us time, please do not order if you need more sureness,
it would only result in turmoil (as you can see here).

With best regards,

Your CedarTec Team.

Dear customer,

first: please understand that we can not focus on every question
or reproach.

About our 3 hardware photos. They has been taken
on different days. It is possible that you find more differences
between the photos. This should be no big surprise for you.
Please remember, it is a prototype. The design is not final.
It could and will change. The next video could show you
other placements, with new connectors etc.
(the white cable is not the ethernet cable, it is the usb
cable.)

We currently optimizing and are about to make it more
and more efficient.

We also apologize for the bad lighting conditions.
The video was taken by a reflex camera,
at this time we have no video camera at the office.

We focused manually because the autofocs took
to long.

The chips on the pcb have the same size like
the one hold by the hand of one of our employee.
Why should the chip take
a other size when placed on the board?

As promised we will make more photos of the hardware
(if you want) with a ruler next to the chips.

Also we will make closeup photos.

Be sure that we will mine, when it is ready, on pools
with livestats as wanted.

For the ones who need more sureness about our product
it is possible to wait until we have finished and shipped all
pre-orders. This could be in around 2 or 3 months.
We planned to pre-build asics and sell them after the
pre-order stage. Like said, it is only planned and can not
be confirmed until we have finished the pre-orders, to see
how many units from the 1000 are sold.

With best regards,

Your CedarTec Team.

Dear bitcointalk community,

as you can see we are using voltage regulators
and diodes on the pcb.
It is no problem to provide the needed voltages.

Dear bitcointalk users,

we will produce so many asics as ordered,
our limit is 1000 asics.
Every left asic of the 1000 will be sold
after the shipment is done, but not every
asic of the left asics will be pre-produced.
We will think about the details when it is nearer the time,
first we must finish the pre-orders.

Dear bitcointalk users,

until now there are no (new) questions
from your side, everything is answered,
so please do not wonder why we are not writing.
Currently we have no new updates to publish.

Like already said, we will take photos
from a other perspective/angle and will
show you that everything on the pcb is real.

The optimization is near the end,
after that we will do the next step.

Our next step for you is to publish a video,
it will show the webgui, which we already
showed in our gallery, the hashing prototype
with consumption in watt, temperatures
and other details of our product.

Our next step of our product is to start
the mass production.

With best regards,

Your CedarTec Team.

Dear bitcointalk community,

we have currently only one prototype for testing purposes, also the design is
not complete final, like you see the pcb is prepared for more.
You will be able to buy asics after we have finished the shipment
of all pre-orders.

People who needs more sureness are able to wait ~2 month to order
one of our asic.

Why do we only accept bitcoins on this way, is the most asked question.
We answered this question many times.
What we do in the pre-order stage is to look at our incoming orders and after
a payment is made the unit will be produced, so there is no way for us to accept
paypal or escrow service, we do not need the bitcoins after the production for your pre-order,
we need it before. After a payment is made, it becomes binding. No refunds.
But this is written before you made your order at the top.
We build by order, up to 1000 units.

You can order, think and wait 24 hours, before it expires. But we do not reserve order numbers,
this happens only after payment is made.

We got offers, some people want to pay the double amount of bitcoins to get the unit earlier,
but here we want to clarify:

Every unit has a fixed price of 999$
Every one can order up to 3 units, not more

With best regards,

Kassem Mourad, Tripoli - Lebanon

Dear Sirs and Madams,
our name is CedarTec and we are a young company that was founded 2010 in lebanon.
Since 2011 we started to construct a new asic generation, our first product
is called CT-80 and is equiped with the highest standards.
Now it is nearly the end of the production line, so we opened the pre-order
and the CT-80 will be shipped at the 14th May 2013.

The CT-80 is limited to 1000 units and every customer is allowed
to buy 3 devices.

We do not want a overflow of information in this post and keep the overview.
So please visit our website for more informations about our company

Hello baritus,

please do not mine with your mac.
It could damage your hardware, it is not designed to run over a long time at max load.
Also it is not profitable, really not worth to risk something.

Hello PandaCoins,

look for your nvidia 8800 gts at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

Try some options from there.

Also try to use http:// infront of the address.

Download http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html and monitor your gpu temp while mining.

The official max temp is 90 it should not be much higher then this, otherwise it will affect the lifetime of the gpu.

Hello tr03bor,

google for "super flower golden green", these are very good psus,
the golden green series has a high reliability and is very efficient.

I can promise you that these psus can run 24 hours/7 days
at high load without problems and making any problems.

I am not talking about the low cost super flowers, they are not
good.

But do you really mean the HD 5950? I think you made a mistake.

A 800 watt golden green psu from super flower should be enough.

Re: Mining video card question
by

Hello Jcw188,

the standard psu of dell vostro 200, which provides 300 watt and enough ampere on rail to run a 6570, will not be the problem.
The mainproblem is the configuration of the mining software. Like you said you are at work, so you can not mine with
high aggression, otherwise your computer will slow down to much to continue working.

With a moderate configuration you will reach between 40 and 60 mh/s, without to overclock the gpu and memory clock.

At this speed and at the current price of bitcoin/usd, without to pay for power, it will need about 6 months until
the amd hd6570 pays for itself.
