I was thinking about how acquiring skills like cryptocurrency trading has helped a lot of individuals out of poverty, so I was wondering if subjects like cryptocurrency trading or Forex trading are introduced into curriculum of students, will that not have a direct impact on the economy of the country by reducing the number of people dependent on the government for a job? Has this not yet been considered or is there a reluctance in the government to make sure that people learn valuable important skillset in school aside the other things they have been learning for years.
I did not know the correct place to make this post, economics or trading, I am okay with the moderator moving it to the right place if this is not it.
Many people are earning from trading to get out of poverty, but it is very risky . Many people have lost their money due to lack of proper education, knowledge, risk management, etc. Yes, if taught properly, it can be beneficial for students. However, I think teaching trading at the school level is pushing them into risky investments because if they cannot manage it properly, they will be in danger. So, they can be taught basic concepts of money management, financial literacy, financial risk management in the curriculum first, and then subjects like trading can be taught optionally when they become suitable. Given the mental maturity of children and adolescents, their ability to take risks, and the fear of financial loss, the government may hesitate to include risky subjects like trading directly in the curriculum. In addition, uncontrolled risk in trading can have a negative impact on the economy. Indeed, learning trading can be a path to economic opportunity for many, but it also has its risky aspects.
Financial literacy is important in the education system, but caution should be exercised about the risks of trading because teaching trading directly at the school level can be dangerous for many. Therefore, before teaching trading at the school level, students should be taught about cybersecurity, financial management, and financial risk management.
