Re: How to known a Scam ICO
by

I don't want to regurgitate everything that has been said so far since it is all mostly sound advise.  I would like to add that numerous AMA's in Discord or Reddit go a long way to ask relevant questions to the developers as well as seeing if their dedication to the road map is true and on pace.  To many projects have fallen behind due to scams, development disagreements, and other various issues that cause a project to fall flat on its face and the investors footing the bill.

Re: WHY SHOULD YOU BOYCOTT ICOS THAT DEMAND KYC?

It is a gray area with a lot of good arguments from both sides.  Personally I do not care for KYC procedures and it kind of defeats the purpose of anonymity in this technological space.  The person or group that can satisfy both requirements without opening up a purchaser to full disclosure will get my money for future investments.

Re: 200+ Masternodes - Divi - What needs to change in future masternodes?

As an investor, I feel like those are valid questions to ask.  I believe Divi addresses a number of items I've wanted to improve:

* Tiered Masternode System

I like the idea of leveling up when it comes to masternodes.  If I own a silver masternode for example, I know I just need to buy some more Divi to move to a gold level with additional bonuses.

* One Click Masternode Setups

- While setting up masternodes might seem as routine as brushing your teeth in the morning, you are a very small minority.  We need to make it so easy for people coming into the masternode ecosystem to setup their own nodes, they are piling in to take part in your project.

* Masternode Pools

- Users can pool family and friends into a higher level Masternodes with a simple interface. Those Masternode pools can be setup  payout to different wallets along with multisig protection.  I would guess this feature is a great way to pull in friends/family that might be on the fence about getting involved in the crypto space.

Not to shill Divi anymore then needed, all of the above are excellent ways to bring the MN concept to the forefront for entry level users.  Mining has gotten such a bad reputation as of late for obvious reasons and a high entry cost with purchasing equipment or rack space.  The one click setup option would be a fantastic addition.

I still would like to see an auto roll out/spin up of a new MN once I establish the parameters and agree to the self roll out.  If I could have a system that auto roll outs new MN's once the target number is reached, would be less time for me logging into my various VPS's or constantly looking over data sheet outputs.

Re: Flat Earth

The solution is simple. Look at the bottom of your shoes. Are they flat? Yes? Then yeah the Earth is flat.

Its so simple!

Other than message boards and forum trolls, I have yet to meet anyone in real life that shares this theory as fact.  It seems to be more of a gigantic online troll topic more then a valid conspiracy theory.  I also find it ironic that the flat earth conspirators are the same people who condemn Islam and other religions as living in the past, while they are trying to do the same with modern techno logic society...

Re: Why criminals can't hide behind Bitcoin

Great article, could be more nerdy but made me think twice on the anonymity question..
Bitcoin mixing is everyone's savior apparently  Cheesy

https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2016/03/why-criminals-cant-hide-behind-bitcoin

With tax agencies and other various government influences coming more and more into play with the crypto-world, I fully expect the anonymity to decrease further and further as time goes on.  Many are hoping for future project plans to hide ones identity, and it will be interesting who breaks out from the crowd to offer decent platform that will allow this.  Government and news agencies love throwing around criminals being synonymous with Bitcoin, but its a redherring.

Re: How to find a hidden miner on a PC

This was a good read.  If I had merit, Id offer it.

Keep in mind, some backdoor mining can be beneficial to the community as a whole due to reducing ad fees for an organization.  I just wish they were more open about it when you visit it.  I know the Pirate Bay did a similar practice a while back.  As long as it doesn't kill my performance, and keeps the community I am visiting afloat from lack of ads, I am all for it.

Re: Crypto starter kit

Some of my favorite Crypto channels I follow:

CryptoLark
Datadash
CryptoDemetrius
Ian Balian
Ameer Rosic

Where I do a lot of my trading:

Poloniex
Cryptopia

my crypto starter kit consists of:

Delta App     (to see current portfolio)
Ivan on tech (dayli updates)
Twitter          (follow:big traders and big players)
binance         (to trade)
coinbase        (to upload money)
coin telegraph,coinmarket cap, coindesk (news and stats)

maybe Github too (for update in code)

what about yours?

I would really recommend to you to also get a hardware wallet, like Ledger Nano S. This will ensure that your cryptos are always safe and will let you sleep tight at times where there is FUD about exchanges getting hacked.
A hardware wallet was actually  the first thing I got before starting with cryptos and I have never regretted it.

I never had much luck with the Ledger Nano's.  Id recommend the Trezor hardware wallets for ease of use.

With the development of social media and video access sites like Youtube, we have uncovered a small part of the population that finally has a voice to preach to other that think like them.  Although the notion of a flat Earth is ridiculous and proven to be fact by scientific laws that govern the Universe, I do welcome the work that such uneducated people put forth in proving their views.  Kudos to them.

Re: [ANN-REBRAND] FantasyGold Coin [FGC] - Fantasy Sports & LIVE Vegas eSports - MN

Excited to see more games come to this platform.  I have watched some DOTA tourny's Live and its a blast. Look forward to going to Vegas and seeing one of the tournaments.  Concept is cool.  I hope this project soars to the moon.

10 to 1 swap is $$$
I am curious of the popularity and adoption in the fantasy sports genre.  Seems like an odd time of the year to announce since people like to start their leagues at the beginning of a season instead of towards the end.  I don't play fantasy Baseball, so I couldn't speak of its popularity, but I am excited to give this a try when Football and Basketball seasons start up in Sept and October.  I am curious how many other Efighting games this platform is looking to stretch out too.

Our website https://www.draftdaily.com is a Daily Fantasy Sports website like FanDuel and DraftKings. What’s sets us apart is that we use DFS Coin(soon to be Fantasy Gold) as in game currency. We currently have baseball, football, hockey and nba. We will also add soccer and cricket in the future. Unlike season long leagues, our site allows you to pick the players you went with a salary cap and play other opponents every day.

Our esports live events in Las Vegas will have prizes in Fantasy Gold and cash. The first event will have a $10,000 prize. Eventually gamers will be able to also play daily tournaments on https://fgcarena.com where they can buy and play for Fantasy Gold prizes. Esports is a rapidly growing industry that we are happy to be apart of.

Time to move my league over to try this

Re: Best wallet?

Browser/Plug-in

Pro: Though only available on Google Chrome, these easy-to-use wallets create and store your private keys on your computer and are always readily available.

Con: As with desktop clients, a web-based wallet is only as secure as the device on which your private key is stored. If the device becomes infected with malware, your key could be compromised.  Highly insecure.

* Examples and cost:

Myetherwallet: https://www.myetherwallet.com/ (Free)
MetaMask: https://metamask.io/ (Free)
Jaxx: https://jaxx.io/ (Free)
