They have the private key encrypted and they transmit it to you to decrypt locally in client side JS.

This is how they're able to send you encrypted backup wallet files via email and such.

Interesting. So Blockchain.info actually knows the unencrypted private key?

Yes, this is the most used / trusted wallet and they keep priv key in plain text.

I am still not convined that PayPal's announcement was the cause of this rally.

Opening the 150M paypal account  to bitcoin ecosystem is one of the most bullish news of this year.

We talk about $50b/quarter

With no bitcoin i guess i difficult to catch it
Without emotional involvement, no empathy

So nothing could take us up anymore. Only if a company like Paypal or Amazon would start accepting Paypal things would change. This is what i kept reading the last 6 months.

So Paypal accepts Bitcoin, we go up a little bit, just like everybody was hoping for and then you traders absolutely started dumping the shit out of the market.
Finally new people were motivated to buy again and you dumped straight in their face so you could take your 150 bucks profit.
Well done!
You stopped the only possible uptrend we could hope for at this point.
Really, well done idiots!

Please stop making posts wondering why the price won't go up.

Bummer that they've already bought the coins they need and the market wasn't affected.

https://blockchain.info/charts/n-transactions-excluding-popular?showDataPoints=false×pan=&show_header=true&daysAverageString=7&scale=0&address=

Only 10k transactions per day less than the peak of the bubble.

The bubble increased daily transactions by 30k.

So we have gained 20k daily transactions since the bubble.

This is excluding popular addresses.

As for blockchain they are doing well: https://blockchain.info/charts/my-wallet-n-tx?showDataPoints=false×pan=&show_header=true&daysAverageString=14&scale=0&address=

They have almost 10k daily transactions MORE than the height of the bubble, which had inflated daily transactions by 10k.

Both of these things lead me to believe that people are currently using Bitcoin a lot more than they did even during the peak of the bubble.

This is really bullish.

Plus some off blockchain volume : http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2gfewa/transaction_volume_a_lot_of_transactions_are_not/

In 1867 that was a huge ammount of monwy(see some western movies and you will agree)

10.8 tons of gold since 1 dollar was fixed weight of 1.5grams (23.22 grains) of gold from 1834 until 1900)

Around 14 Billion, considering the current value of gold.

The US$ 7.2 million check used to pay for Alaska ($119 million in 2014 dollars)[1]

I'm quite amazed where these huge sellers get their coins from.

I'd love to talk to 1 or 2 of these people and ask them what their motivation is for keeping the price down.  These damn sell walls all the time.
Normal market behaviour my ass.

Exactly. It's fucking ridiculous.

Obvious COMPLETE lack of any buyers is obvious.

Market usually is slow at this time.

Just wait until tomorrow.

Until  fourth quarter of 2014.
