You know what I notice? I've been trading in Altcoins in January, February, March.

EVERY SINGLE ALTCOIN that has risen came down at some point. And it feels like Bitcoin is following the same pattern. Just slower. And NO Altcoin ever rose to old hights again.

You know. I have my 1.7 Bitcoins and I guess I'll at least hold them until Bitcoin reaches € 250,-- or maybe € 200,--

But I am worried about the future of Bitcoin.

Re: [Havelock] Bitcoin Difficulty Derivative (BDD)

I need some help!

Today i got out of Cryptostocks because, as you may know, their wallet has been offline twice and since they seem to have something to do with Vicurex, i just don't really trust them anymore.

Now I got my money into Havelock and B.Mine looked good to me. So i bought. THEN I did some research and I noticed that I have no Idea what is going on and I sold again. Stupid enough, but I actually made 0.03 BTC profit because the price jumped from 0.00213 to 0.00234 or something. Lucky me, I guess.

I've read the first page, explaining what BDD is, but I don't really get it. Can someone explain to me, if it is a good Idea to buy B.Mine that late into its lifetime? If I understand correctly, there are 200 Dividends in B.Mine, then the Issuer will force-buy it back at a rather small price. For me this looks like I can only make back 20 % of my original investment by now.

So if I want to go into B.Mine at this point - Is that a wise desicion, or the worst ever?

Re: Cryptostocks - BTC,DVC,LTC denominated Stock Exchange/Crowdfunding Platform

I'm currently withdrawing my money from cryptostocks because it just does not feel right. I sent the first 0.25 through and it took a while to get conirmed. Now with the second 0.25 btc I'm already waiting for an hour and it is still unconfirmed. They seem do not add a fee so it takes longer.

I'm REALLY happy to get away from cryptostocks!

It appears you are not the only one. With the exception of RETURN, every non-IPO-flagged security seem to be falling in price.

I wanted to wait longer, for coinfarm to recover, but I was the guy at 03;59, selling my 58 coinfarms. Main reason is: I fear the weekend. The CS-Wallet was offline twice. Both times it went offline at the weekend I think. And we had TWO warnings. I'm afraid, that the next one, is going to be the big one and CS is gone. I've had like 0.5 BTC in CS (and 20 Euros in CPW, but that is gone anyway I guess) and 0.5 BTC is not something I just want to lose. Especially not if I have to tell myself - You KNEW, that CS could fail.

I'm moving over to Havelock and get me some IMO more "secure" stocks. Also - I think that I can get an even higher daily divedend with B.Mine, or at least a more stable one.

@ Lynn_402

That was what I though. I think at 0.0033 coinfarm is a HELL of a good buy, because I be most just sell it because they want to get out of CS. But if CS proves to be reliable then Coinfarm pretty much must recover, since it is undervalued now. They're not selling because Coinfarm is bad, but because lost trust in CS. Like me.

On the other hand sind: It feels sooo good to be out of Cryptostocks. I've seen too much shit failing. Like MtGox and Coinex.pw and what not. One always hopes: Ah, it will go on somehow, but most often it does not. So fuck that.

Edit: I checked it in the blockchain. It is true - With the second Transaction they did NOT INCLUDE ANY FUCKING FEE, I don't even know if that means that this transaction is going to fail. They're charging you 0.05 BTC to withdraw but they can't include a Fee!

I'm REALLY happy to get away from cryptostocks!

Edit 2: It got confirmed after 57 Minutes.

Still happy to get out of cryptostocks!

I'm now in the situation that I've dreaded. Do I sell all my stuff on Cryptostock? Or do I trust them once more, although I KNOW that the next one is possibly the big one. Damn.

Then there is no problem. We're not even loosing the Dividends right now if the Shareowners are honest, because they don't deposit at CS. We just need a new plattform.

I wonder - Even if Cryptostocks fails, how bad is that for us as shareholders?

Cryptostocks holds no money, right? We HAVE the shares, and if the share-issuers are honest, we will keep owning the shares, even if the plattform dies.
Cryptostocks is supposed to be nothing more then a trading-plattform.

I would say, the share-issuers should just leave cryptostocks and go to Havelock.

My problem is, if CS comes back online, I would like to leave - because the warning signs are there. We had this situation once. I don't want to wait for a third time. But its not so easy this time. I like my coinfarm, my return and my msp shares. So what is the reasonable thing to do here?

Its just a shitpost, really, but whenever I feel sad, I come in here, eat some popcorn and have a good time. Because this is never going anywhere. Not in one Million years.

"I don't see any problem right now, maybe the devs are on vacation before starting their business. "

I had Milk coming out of my nose. "I don't see any problem right now, maybe the devs weren't allowed to use the computer in the retirement home."

Having a blast here. Thanks to all of you!

I also don't understand the price drop. At this crazy ROI it would last only 200 days to get back the initail investment. And 30 days are already behind me. I'm somewhat optimistic on this one.

If I am allowed to post one serious question: When do you expect do have your Exchange up? Because that is the point for me where I can say -BAM-, shit just got real. Because at the moment the Alcurex-Webpage looks a lot like a plattform to sell the stocks. Do you know when we'll see real trading at Alcurex?

Re: Support a Bailout for (MT)Gox.com
by
Chellger
on 26/02/2014, 08:18:32 UTC
What do you say, we show some support for a Bailout in the case of MTGox?
I think it will be the best thing for Bitcoin as we are in the transition stage from "innovative tech" to "regulated and trusted main stream innovative tech"...
In order to make this transition we need support from the community and the world.

Of course, on top of that... people (like me) who have funds @ MTGox would like to get access to those funds asap.

Let's get this thread a lot of positive support for a bailout for MTGox!

It is not the time to be cynical. It is not the time to say "told you". This is the time to help.

What do you say? help and show support for the Bitcoin ecosystem, Bitcoin holders and traders who spent money, time and effort supporting this business and also the public image? Everyone who traded on MTGox probably talked about Bitcoin a lot with friends, family and others helping the ecosystem and we are talking about A LOT OF PEOPLE.
If this works out, then the Bitcoin community will be stronger than ever and also, don't worry about the bail-outer/s, they will get their Bitcoin value increased, self recognition for knowing they did the right thing and also, a lot of commissions and future funds.

So please, for all the right reasons, show support for a bailout in this case!

I think this is a true test for Bitcoin and the community.

I normally do like me some good ol' troling in the morning,

...

but fuck you!

Edit: "This is the time to help". Nuh-uh. This is the time to kick ass and to chew bubblegum, and we all are very much out of bubblegum at this point.

Re: why bitcoin has staying power

Of course Bitcoin is here to stay. Once the Emperor takes over, Bitcoin will be renamed to "Credits". And he needs them to build a spacestation as huge as the moon. And he will name it "Planetkiller".
