Just wait it out for a few years. If you have more patience than the rest, the value will (probably) rise a lot.

Don't have any complaints. Me and a collegue ordered miners in nov 2013, they got delivered about 2 weeks late. So way faster delivery than any other asic manufacturers I know. The miners worked fine, so no complaints there either. I only wish they could do something about the network difficulty and my electricity bill   Grin

Peercoin. It's the original POS coin, and PPC is where the real POS innovation happens.
have you even used the nxt client? Cheesy
stacking feature upon feature is not innovation, and according to the trade volume, also not very interesting.

What makes sure that the custodians keep behaving well? It might pay off to get elected as a custodian, and then park all your nubits instead of selling them for $1. Or keep the dollars after selling a big amount. Did I miss something?

Re: do you think the price manipulated by exchanges ?
by

I think there is lots and lots of new money coming into bitcoin everyday. I know it is more complicated than supple and demand, but it seems like extra demand and extra people buying would drive the price up.  Instead.... the price is softly sinking all the time.  That makes me think that there are some unscrupulous traders that have found a way to cipher off all new funds into their pockets.  Maybe some kind of crazy arbitrage scheme by big exchanges where exchange owners are selling to their personal accounts cheaply, then selling back to the exchange at higher rates. All the extra money from new players then just gets funneled into the exchange owners pockets instead of the price as a whole going up.

So do I think China is cheating?  Yes, 100%.  I think there are fake volumes, and that is just the start of it.

Yikes, this sounds very plausible.

Re: What's going on with the "older" coins?

No it indicates that there are no dust transactions, because of the 0.01 transaction fee Smiley

Not really, since PoS minting can generate a lot of transactions without fees. PPC actually uses a different algorithm for storing the blockchain. I don't know about the technical details, but Sunny King worked some magic into it.

The PPC wallet also has some magical compression, I have several thousand transactions in my PPC wallet (mostly from PoS minting), and it's 302KB.

I have 500 transactions in my Bitcoin wallet, and it became huge, over 10 megabytes, and takes a while to load.

Sweet! This combined with the low inflation rate definitely makes it THE long term investment coin :]

Re: Peercoin or Bitcoin? Here is the comparison

This article was written by someone who looked up all the myths and misunderstandings of ppc, and summed them up without investigating if they're actually valid arguments.. In other words, by a completely uninformed (and probably biased) person.

Check out peercointalk.org, all the information about 0.5 and nubits is right there. Although nubits is still a bit of a mistery, the programming team working on it is excellent, so the expectations are pretty high.

if pos so good, why is litecoin still second. take that

Litecoin is older and it's benefiting some kind of network effect as it is the "biggest altcoin" out there.
Give PPC a few more months  Wink

pos is the only sustainable solution so far. What you describe is the problem of one young coin, not pos. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2jx1TlkMBs , he does a very thorough and clear analysis of pos in the long term.
