Very good idea! Thanks for taking the time to do this as it is really needed.

Since most new users, me included, fumble around at first trying to use Margin Maker bot I would request you begin this effort with a description of each and every user controllable variable in MM. May take a few days but that's OK.

Props Hacky!

I'll start:
Pro Tip - Did you know that if you have been trading on an exchange and then buy leonArdo for that exchange any open orders and positions will automatically show up in leonArdo's great user interface when that pair is opened in the app. You can then use leonArdo to make manual trades on those positions, change or cancel open orders, etc.

Feature Request
I'm currently trading on Bittrex manually and really need a Trailing Stop Loss feature for manual trades. A simple Stop Loss that could be changed would be the minimum solution. This feature should be usable across all supported exchanges. Please add to an upgrade soon. Thanks.

Still using a lot of CPU on OSX. Can this please be fixed?
My 2012 MBP i7 uses 11.3 - 16% CPU with 25 threads going in leonArdo. What's your usage?

I would like a "do what you want as long as you make money" button. A kind of wizard which suggests what and how to trade, based on actual data.  Grin
Hahaha, me to Micky, me to. But don't hold your breath while waiting for that 'magic' button.   😀

Trader's Advice: Those of you new to trading crypto, stocks, commodities or whatever do yourselves and your bank balance a huge favor and STUDY CANDLESTICK CHARTS. There are tons of info about reading candlestick charts available, use it. This is only one: http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:chart_analysis:introduction_to_candlesticks.

Trader's Note To Self: Stop Loss orders are like double edged swords, if set too tight to the open order price it can close out your position too soon due to the volatility of crypto, set too loosely you will suffer more losses when a trade goes against you in a big way. Should traders use Stop Loss orders? Probably, so I will make myself. What is the ideal percentage stop? Only experience will tell, and it will surely vary for each pair.

Trader's Tip: Large exchanges will likely have two things that traders want, 1) hopefully more safety, Mt. Gox and BTC-e notwithstanding :-/ and importantly 2) higher trading volume in the pairs we are interested in trading, this equals order liquidity, a good thing. I see people asking for all kinds of exchanges to be added to leonArdo, perhaps for the wrong reasons. You should make yourself familiar with the regulations governing crypto exchanges, if any, of the country where your exchange is located.

Hi thinking of buying but have a few ?s

Security? how safe is this to use I did not find any posts talking about this, Who can see my keys? can the developer see or get access to an exchange account? what protection is in place to stop this and keep things safe?

Trader's Answer: About as safe as anything in this unregulated industry it seems to me. Dr. Jonathan Maycock gets half of you API Key and its setup to not allow withdrawals, at least on Bittrex.

I too am kinda waiting for the Kraken version how far out is that I also use Bittrex for the newer alt coins But I like to trade USDT to what ever the most.
When the Kraken version is out will it support the trailing stops?

Trader's Answer: I was also waiting on Kraken but decided go ahead and start with Bittrex. You can always add Kraken whenever it is implemented for $29.

Using the ping pong feature can this run all day buying and selling only taking a small profit on small movements when it is going sideways with out the exchange having a problem with that many buys and sells going on.?

Trader's Answer: I use mArgin mAker and it places trades all day without issue on Bittrex.

I just DL the newest version and it has already crashed the version before this I never had a crash. I am on win 7 64 bit
Also, i can not seem to move around the candle stick area like I see in the videos nothing moves for me.

Trader's Answer: keep in mind this is beta software and we are the beta testers, thus the dirt cheap price. I found the Demo to be more buggy than the Live version so far. So far it seems to work mostly as stated, but the some of the tutorials are dated. My only issue so far is I can't seem to get the graphic of the market book to pull out. This may be a Bittrex API issue, I don't know.

Thanks

See answers in your quote. Good luck!

Two weeks of demo trading and learning the basics of leonArdo are over. Live trading on Bittrex has started, albeit with small trades.

Thanks to Dr. Jonathan Maycock for superb support in helping me over my initial setup mistakes. You are a very patient man.  ;-)

Trading the Demo and for the first time was stopped out (-5.0%) of a ETH/BTC position due to the overnight run up of bitcoin. Wow! glad it was the demo.

No one has talked about drawdowns with leonArdo and I was wondering what people's experience with it might be. I know when I was trading on Indigo there were some really nasty drawdowns of 20-30%. I have a feeling that leonArdo will not be so severe if used sensibly.

@cstan22 - Did you try dragging the trading perimeter margins to your choice during setup? I discovered this recently and really like that feature. And dragging the time frame on the chart is interesting to watch the algorithm adapt as more or less data is configured.

How long do I need to wait for the download link?
I already paid for it. Just anxious to use it.
A patient and wise trader would be actively trading the demo version and learning all they can about leonArdo before committing real funds. Anxiousness should be avoided.

Is there an update as to when Kraken will be added? I'm sort of waiting to buy leonArdo as Kraken is my preferred exchange.

@JJYarr Thanks, but I may wait for a margin account and Poloniex to prove itself again after recent issues.

Hi leonArdo community!

I've just started the demo version and have already decided to buy based on reading many, many accolades here and witnessing the outstanding support provided by Dr. Jonathan Maycock and his team. It seems to me that leonArdo is a platform going places I want go.

I'm in the US and have some experience trading. During the dotCom bubble I traded a black box app called Indigo for two years. more recently I was a day trader for a year. I'm a hardware geek so I've mined Bitcoin and now Ether. My initial experience with the demo version is positive and, as usual, there are questions but for now only:

1. My goals are to trade in pairs with no fiat currency such as ETH/BTC, LTC/BTC, etc., and it might be handy to have a margin account at some point but I'm aware that Bitfinex does not extend margin to US residents. Is there an exchange currently supported by leonArdo that will make me happy?

Looking forward to live trading and being a part of this community.
