will someone convert to bitcoin to merely save a few cents and also do the extra

So, educate me, because I am a Debbie Downer.

Hypothetically, let's say using Bitcoin for Purchases is only 1% as opposed to the 3% merchants pay, and that the merchant processing company converts it automatically back to FIAT and deposits it into their bank for that 1%.

And, hypothetically you the customer would have to pay a small fee to convert your FIAT in America to Bitcoin to buy something in Bitcoin, involving (1) an extra step, and (2) an incurred cost of conversion.

So, vendors would offer a 1% discount if you pay with Bitcoin, so that you the customer, save a very small amount, and the vendor saves a large amount over the cost of a month.

The question then is, will someone convert to bitcoin to merely save a few cents and also do the extra step? And what's there to prevent Visa or MasterCard from dropping their prices to small amounts too? After all, if they use blockchain technology, then every transaction becomes guaranteed and secure, and their costs drop as there is less fraud so they can lower the costs to the merchants.
Is this accurate?

In the two times I've seen BTC have a helluva rally, it's always been a BTC climb paired with a massive alts bleed out. Once BTC corrects, the alts surge. Is there anything to suggest this behavior would change should the cycle start turning up again? Will we start with a BTC party before all else?

Difficult to predict as past performance isn’t always an indicator, but I don’t see how alts wouldn’t bleed out. I’m holding BTC until we hit much lower alt ratios as a strategy but time will tell.

Alts have already bled out. Now when btc moves up at all, they seem to move up also and with more force. Everyone knows they are down 90% or so. That’s going to be hard to resist.

I'm a breakout trader, but this isn't a breakout I want to trade. I can only imagine how many stops are set above and below. Seems like this price action is the perfect recipe for a fakeout before the market actually makes up its mind. So I'll just let the market do its thing, and wait for the next consolidation zone. Anyone thinking the same?

Maybe I still got a little PTSD from the USDT fuckery. That day, I was $40 away from getting stopped in at 6850.

Historically the best thing you can do with Bitcoin is forget you own it. Right now the only thing to do is wait. Accumulate when you get a little extra money. Build up a supply and continue waiting.

Same thing you do when you're buying stocks in a bear Market. You're looking years down the road to cash out

So, I mentioned bitcoin to an older woman I’m considering renting a place from. “I like my cash” she says. I am of the belief bitcoin is a much safer way to save and use the value we are paid for the work we’ve done. We currently accept cash because we KNOW that most anyone else will accept it in a trade for goods. Bitcoin can be valued towards all of those same goods, but I do not know who will accept it. Really at this stage of the game, I’m avoiding spending bitcoin for any purpose and spending the dollars because they are the over valued commodity. I appreciate every one accepting cash and not bitcoin for all of these years. I’m gonna need to acquire for ten more years so if we can just keep it sub $10,000 that would be great.
