Re: How to choose change address on new blockchain.info?
by

on 11/11/2016, 16:03:32 UTC
So can nobody help me with this? I also can't seem to work out how to send money from two addresses in one transaction. For example I want to send 1btc but only have 0.5 in two different addresses. Is this not possible now on the new blockchain.info? Used to be so simple. Not sure why they had to change everything.
Well i don't understand about your example and i have made it bold, i think you must make your problem more clear on the explaining. What is actually the problem in new fitures on Blockchain.info.

How can I possibly make it any more simple than I already did? Wish you illiterate third world sig spammers would stop trying to post on things you don't understand.

so i think the only way you have to send it repeatedly, just send the 0.5 then send 0.5 again but it caused they charges the fee twice, right??
This is due to the address on blockchain is always changing yeah once your address receives an incoming payment, a new address will automatically be generated in order to make your transaction is hard for anyone to track your transaction.

This is really annoying to me. Not sure why they changed this. Not everyone cares about people being able to track payments and sending money from two addresses to one defeats the purpose of that any way. Thanks for your help any way.

So you're saying I can't choose where the change goes? I don't wan't to use a single wallet but I want to know where the change is going to go. Don't want loads of unnecesary addresses with bits of change in them scattered about. Is the change just going to go into a new address everytime?

Does anyone know how to select the change address for a transaction you're about to make? On the old one it was very simple and you could choose wether to send the chnage to the same address or a new one but now the option seems to have dissapeard. Anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

It is kind of simple.

Agreed. Bitcoin being complicated is kind of a popular misconcepotion. The technology behind it is complex but so is the tech behind a car but you dont need to understand that to use it. Download a wallet or use blockchain.info and there's nothing stopping most people from using it.

Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream

Survival of the fittest. I see bitcoin has all the capability to be a fittest. Bitcoin can solve many financial crisis. Many peoples border problems. Many people's saving dilemmas. Many people's banking. These are few example. At least one is enough to be a mainstream money.

It has the capability for sure and I think it can certainly help in some of those sectors you mentroned but for it to go mainstream per se I think it will have to be accepted by many stores and merchants.

Just watched the first episode of Narcos that was released recently. The entire season is available on netflix (or to download from elsewhere Wink). It's a show about Pablo Escobar and his coke empire. He was a pretty interesting yet brutal figure. Looking forward to the rest of it.

Trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7elNhHwgBU

thanks mate...outstanding show  Cool

I liked the first ep but hope it gets more exciting. I watched a documentary on him a couple of weeks ago and it is crazy how he ammased billions of dollars.

Re: Why do you think people choose bitcoin as career?
by

on 18/08/2015, 11:04:16 UTC
Why do people choose to join Facebook, Google, Twitter etc as their career? Bitcoin is just like a tech start up. I don'#t even think you need to start a business either as you can just invest in bitcoin by owning them and hopefully that will be a great investment in the future. Maybe you could even retire off it so you wont need a career  Grin.

I think most govs will fail at some point if they keep printing money and economies keep failing. It's an unworkable system and something like bitcoin could make peoples money grow instead of loosing value over time like fiat does being inflationary.

No.

Mandarin is the most widely spoken language. Then Spanish. English is 3rd or 4th with Hindi - depending on what stats you read (that's including the butchered american version)  Wink

Only because China has such a huge population. English is still the most widely spoken language throughout the world.

Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go?
by
Chomsky
on 13/06/2015, 13:10:01 UTC
Bitcoin is here to stay and it is the future of finacial world. The upcoming generation will be one of them who will adapt bitcoin in a faster rate that it was ever, thanks to easy digital communications. Social media will also boost the speed of bitcoin adoption throughout the world. Bitcoin will stay and for long time.

Well said.  I am investing like 20 percent less in BTC than I did, say, a year ago but I still believe in it.  Smiley

may i know what your reason is for investing less in bitcoin than you usually would? because you already have near enough or is there an other reason?
Its better to invest in bitcoin than into fiat money because the price of bitcoin is not stable and it may high or low. So that if your investment is successful you can keep it until the price of bitcoin go up and then you can change it into fiat money.

But bitcoin isn't guranteed to go up... it can also go down. Bitcoin could collapse at some point too (though I guess you could say the same about fiat money but I think that would be less likely though not impossible).

Re: Which is the best Investment Option for Bitcoins?
by
Chomsky
on 08/06/2015, 20:33:25 UTC
It does not surprise me to see no valid advice. I have few BTC and I do not want to gamble them. I decide to keep it, but this will not help to increase value. The whole economic is based on fact to put "money" to work.
I do not trust my luck, I will not gamble.
I do not trust cloud mining as I already invest in some and lost.
I have one positive experience investing in casino.

Any other idea?

How is there no valid advice? And how will holding bitcoins not increase their value? I think bitcoins will be worth much more than they are now 1-2-3 years down the line.

I admire Gavin's optimism and if everything goes to plan I think he will be right, but I'm not so convinced myself though I hope I'm just being sceptical. I guess we can only wait and see what te future holds for bitcoin.

Re: What real world situation have you had problems due to 10 minute confirmation?
by
Chomsky
on 11/05/2015, 17:58:46 UTC
People make such a fuss of the confirmation times but it's a minor issue if that. Once your coins are sent they're as good as confirmed any way but businesses will use payment procesors so they'll be covered in the unlikely event a double spend occours but how often does that even happen? Seems like something very hard to do.

Re: Did Satoshi expect Bitcoin to last this long?
by
Chomsky
on 24/04/2015, 12:12:12 UTC
Of course he expect bitcoin to last very long since he created bitcoin

Where is the logic in that? I think he was well aware that what he created was an experiment and still is. Nobody, not even satoshi, could have predicted what would or will happen in the future. I'm sure he's probably both surprised and proud how far bitcoin has come.

Re: Does Bitcoin Has What It Takes To Replace Fiat?
by
Chomsky
on 24/04/2015, 12:01:43 UTC
I believe bitcoin certainly has the potential to replace fiat, but I'm not sure it ever will. I think if the people knew what's good for them they would try get away from fiat but bitcoin is currently not a perfect system either unfortunately. I think if the value could become stable then it could be a serious contender at some point but not for a very long time. I think its growth as an alternative currency will continue to grow, though.

i mean are we going to do a bussinness of this bitcointalk acounts? we do earn but im not willing to sell for any good price i dont need to put a new acount relly start making earning of this that way
i dont think its honerable to sell my intelectual propriety.

I don't see much difference in selling accounts than posting rubbish for payments. I guess people have just spotted the potential in the market and are filling the demand for higher ranked accounts. The money is obviously there if you put the effort in.
