Does anyone know how I load my old wallet.dat file?

When I download Gulden-lite & import my wallet.dat file on the AppData > Roaming > Gulden-lite folder, it automatically changes it to "wallet.old.preHD" & won't load it.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Wow, great to see this still going.

I thought this was a good project & mined it for a little while, but as I never see it on CMC now & assumed it had been abandoned.

Keep up the good work dev team.

Exodus Wallet - Secure Backup?
by
Chris180BTC
on 18/01/2021, 18:24:29 UTC
Hi.

Sorry if this seems a little odd, but I'm a bit old school. I was into crypto from around 2010 to around 2014, and have just dabbled with it here and there since then.

All I really know about crypto storage is downloading the official wallet and backing up the wallet.dat file.

A lot of coins I see don't operate in this way any more. I just downloaded the Exodus wallet which allows you to store many coins all in one wallet. It sounds like a great idea, however, I am unsure regarding the security around it. How exactly do I back any of these coins up that I mine/buy on exchanges and send to the Exodus wallet? I set up a password within the software, and backed up the 12 words it gives you for recovery, but what if the company goes bust, which lets face it is very likely in this game. How would I actually physically back up my various crypto assets? I've tried to find a answer online but can't find one. Thanks.

Does anyone know why this miner wont run on my laptop? I have it running on my desktop with no issues but when I try and set it up on the laptop in the same way I get this issue -

Thanks.

missing cpuminer_opt file.... check your antivirus and set exclusion to it.

download from rplant pool or srb-multi

I did disable all anti-virus and firewall and it still wont work with a new download. I then changed "cpuminer_opt" to just "cpuminer" and it runs.

On my desktop there also is no "cpuminer_opt" file and just a "cpuminer" executable, but the "opt" command works for the desktop, but not for the laptop.

Very odd.

Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts

Hi guys,

I just bought some ETC on Bitfinex and i'm looking to transfer it to a wallet. I'm currently using MetaMask for ETH and backing my wallet up using the private key.

Can I use this same wallet / address to end my ETC to, or will this not work? If not, what wallet would you recommend using to long term store my ETC in?

Thanks!

Can I Download The Blockchain Outside Of Bitcoin Core?

I'm three years behind on Bitcoin Core. Does anyone know if there is a quicker way to download the blockchain other than using the Bitcoin Core software? It's running far too slow.
Thanks.

I did it through Metamask with myetherwallet and it worked fine Smiley. I guess either mist is a load of rubbish or I don't know how to use it properly.

Sorry am I missing something, in MIST I select send 0.0 eth to this address and it says "You didn't specify an amount to send".

Any help? Thanks.

I have added Enumvio under the "custom tokens" area but this is as far as I can get, like I said when I try to send 0 eth to the address in the OP it says I can't do it...

I am a newb to Ethereum. What is a ERC-20 wallet address?
Google just doesn't seem to give a straight answer for me. Is it just my ether wallet address, under the 'Accounts' section? I use MIST wallet. I am currently doing the bounties and the forms all say "ERC-20 wallet address". Thanks.

I have just read the whitepaper which has lots of good information surrounding the technology, but I do apologise if this seems like a rather obvious question; I am slightly confused as to how people will access this database of information. Will users be able to access this via a traditional domain name on a web browser, or will this be a software download, or something else? Again, sorry if it's a stupid question.

Will this run on a unique blockchain, or will an existing blockchain be cloned that suits the needs for this project?

Does Ripple have its own wallet ?
Do not see it on the website  Huh

If you find one let me know, been looking for a ripple wallet for a while and all I found is this https://github.com/ripplerm/ripple-wallet but not sure what it is and what to do with it.

This is what I am using.

Has MasterCoin died? I still have my mastercoin wallet and was looking to see what funds I have in it, but none of the links in the OP work. Did it have a name change to omni or is this a completely new coin?

Yeah Mastercoin has been rebranded Omni a few years ago.
Go to http://omniwallet.org/

Ok, is there any way of transferring the funds? I don't even know if I have anything in the wallet, but I have a saved walet.dat file on my hard drive. Thanks Smiley.
