Re: Bitcoin ETF 2018?
by
Chrismeister
on 09/11/2017, 22:17:42 UTC
Yes, but if the SEC decides to regulate the whole cryptocurrencies then it all will go to the hell, it is probably going to be listed on the etf's list in a few months from now, but i dont think that it is going to be by the beggininf of 2018, or not even in summer.
We only have to wait until it happen, but it is not going to be soon.. But it would be very nice, i can just imagine a bitcoin who is worth more than 15 thousand dollars, omg, that is crazy.

Actually it's all possible, because I once thought it was insane that someone for Bitcoin would pay $ 5,000, and today even $ 7,000. So, among the lovers of crypto currency, there are a lot of madmen.

I had the same thing you know. I remember buying coins from 600 to 500 to even 220 dollar. Now it's many times more then then. Crazy right.
Now if the ETF succeeds this time, it depend if there is more regulation though, we could see the price grow enormously. To real crazy heights.

Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017?
by
Chrismeister
on 09/11/2017, 22:13:33 UTC
Well I hope the price settles around 6000 dollar at the end of this year. Give or take 10% higher or lower.
So we can get into 2018 with perhaps a target of 10k. Which would set bitcoin on the foreground of many currencies. Even better if would be legal in more countries though.

Re: Why Bitcoin is better than Cash.
by

Crypto have many features which make fiat money bad. Bitcoin however is a diamond in the world of crypto. Once again it's shown that investors care about bitcoin and bitcoin only.
In time we will see bitcoin replacing other currencies. One by one.

Re: New All-Time High at $7,598
by
Chrismeister
on 06/11/2017, 10:35:45 UTC
That is a very reliable speculation, but Bitcoin just got in that value I think yesterday and it just drop down again to $7300 mark value, but we can see that the price still will go up because of the impending Hard Fork on 16 and I think people would still go on buying bitcoin Because the mind set of people are now would be, if there are Fork there will be a free coins.

I don't see the price go up much more to be honest. We have seen a hell of a sprint at with the price around 7500 usd it's above many support points which means a great rally.
Question is now, where will the price settle.

Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin?
by
Chrismeister
on 10/10/2017, 15:06:36 UTC
I have many plans to do with all my bitcoins, but my first plan is to build my very own business and build my mom's very own business too. And then, keep collecting bitcoins and store them for my future.

If I have collected enough Bitcoin i will start a business too. Maybe something about blockchain consulting or something else, but 100% it will have to involve blockchain. Because it is was because of blockchain I was able to re-start my career.

Re: Is it better to save money or invest it?
by
Chrismeister
on 25/09/2017, 20:19:11 UTC
This is a silly question. Of course you MUST invest your money. If you put it under a mattress it will lose value due to inflation and government printing of new money. Some countries have it worse than others, however a properly diversified portfolio will go up over the long term fast than inflation. It's important to invest in uncorrelated assets. You don't want one country's economy to determine the outcome of all your investments. Invest in interesting things that you understand, including antiques, the outcome of legal disputes, property and recession resistant industries across the globe. If you are young take good risks.

How is this silly. People are different and so are opportunities. I like to invest but i made well sure i have enough savings for a rainy day.
My balance is 30% to an savings account and the rest I use for investments. This is a solid strategy.

Re: So where exactly are we in the bubble?
by
Chrismeister
on 01/09/2017, 17:52:08 UTC
There is not really a bubble if there is natural growth, and although it seems that bitcoin is growing a bit faster then expected, I still see this as a natural growth.
Although a minor correction is to be expected.

Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal?
by

In terms of volume we have already surpassed paypal, but in terms of transactions, ecommerce transaction there is still a road to go.. not a long road, because the last couple of years we have made a tremendous step to bypass Paypal in every financial aspect.

I think we got a great surprise regarding the price in a few years, so 4k seems to be a treat if we have that price.
For now i think a lot of people are afraid to buy more because their are afraid of a large correction

It doesn't matter what you are actually what matters is that you believe in the system behind bitcoin. I started with bitcoin, not for gain, but because I believe it's the future,

Now many years later I made some profit but the functionality and goal of bitcoin or crypto in general remains important for me.

Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin?
by
Chrismeister
on 22/07/2017, 16:13:27 UTC
Biggest disadvantage of bitcoin is it cannot control by anyone and the main thing that i worries is every wallet is can be lost at anytime. Its only generated but not have ownership to anyone.

That is Bitcoin biggest advantage, it's decentralized so no government, bank or other third party entity can access your money. Not even secret services.

Bitcoin most biggest disadvantage at the moment is the fight going on and probably will keep going on in the future, companies trying to use bitcoin for self gain, now we have Blockstream, but in team nChain may do the same.

Bitcoin is for the people and should be controlled by the people..

At this moment we are at a top I think. If the price increases It will be something I totally not expect, because I see a large correction as a way more plausible thing then another increase.

Re: What is on August 1, 2017?
by
Chrismeister
on 22/06/2017, 21:19:17 UTC
Just so you guys know USAF is cancelled. Miners finally realised that this would be risky to let USAF happen.
This is why all major mining pool started to signalise SegWitx2 yesterday, currently, we have more than 80% hash support for this proposal.
Everything should be fine in hopefully August 1 we would have upgraded chain with SegWit running on it - and withing next 6 months hard fork 2MB will be activated.

At this point everybody wants a solution. The faster the better. And I agree you should not risk instability by a hard fork, but on the same hand I think it's mandatory that a permanent solution for the fees is made. Be it Segwit with LN or a higher blocksize, whatever happens, let's hope the next time they don't wait 2 years for a solution.

Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ?
by
Chrismeister
on 22/06/2017, 21:12:31 UTC
I believe people see Bitcoin having power, simply because bitcoin was first.
Investors on the other hand see a currency crash happening or even worse a global stock market crash. Which is why they diversify in Gold and Bitcoin.

wise man

Lol thanks on rare occasions I wander into the bounds of rationality.  Don't get used to it though Wink

Straight up to 50 could happen too,you never know...this time might be different  Wink

I am happy that we finally are in the top 10 crypto projects. At least market cap wise.
Now it's time to let the DEX features come and slow rise upto 10 dollar.

After the correction there is plenty time to grow. I am confident Waves can be a top 3 projects. BTC/ ETH/ Waves

Today's High $2,001.27

Yeah it's unbelievable what is happening. 2000 dollar per bitcoin.
I just transferred from my fiat and just realized that i can only buy 1 bitcoin with 2000 dollar. Which is the hard reality of today;)
