I suppose in part laziness from some pool operators, but i believe in the majority of the cases it is out of greed. None wants others to "profit out of their effort to get it working". That is simply stupidity, to my opinion. If there are more pools, you have more decentralised mining, it is healthy to any POW coin. And besides, more competition is also healthy for the industry. Imagine 3 or 4 nail factories not wanting to let other know how to make a nail...

We at CoinScripts want to go against that. We want to open our knowledge and experience to others. There will be more tutorials coming soon.

You can follow this guide we recently made public. It is for uPlexa, but the same works for Monero.

https://github.com/VivaPeron/CoinScripts/wiki/How-to-setup-an-uPlexa-mining-pool

Just use monero's daemon, wallet, and rpc-wallet instead.

And for pool config use this example provided by muscleman's pool. Which you will get anyway when cloning the git repo.

Setting up these pools is actually really simple. You will master it in no time! Good luck!

Just found out about this project. I believe it has a lot of potential yet to be unleashed.

We might launch a SUMO mining pool at coinscripts.online  Wink

CoinScripts Mining Pool

!!! OUT OF OPERATION !!!

Hello BTCitcointalk Community!

We are where a brand new Altcoin Mining Pool based on cryptonote-nodejs-pool open source project. But, sadly, we had to close operations. In huge part because big pools where harnesing 90% of hashing power. But also because of lack of interest from mining rig owners in smaller pools. We did our best, but was not enough. Many noob mistakes.

We will keep the support of out "satellite" services like the paste bin and some scripts for deploying miners and masternodes. And in the meanwhile we're working on new services for the crypto community. But most probably we will not be back to the minign pool service.

BIG THANKS! To the few that supported us on our journey!!!

You can find out more about us on https://twitter.com/CoinScripts

Happy Hashing!

Hello,
I am glad to see a few people already upgraded their masternodes and wallet. I am a newbie with a newlie created masternode; I am in deep trouble to upgrade my masternode. Can anyone please help me? if you could post the steps to upgrade the masternode that will be very helpfull. I use putty to access my VPS; I will need the linux command used to upgrade the masternode.

You only replace the executable binary.

On the VPS:

Delete you current exclusivecoind executable file. Wherever you have it...most probably right there on the root home.

Get the new one:
wget https://github.com/exclfork/ExclusiveCoin/releases/download/v1400/exclusivecoind-ubu14-v1400.zip

Extract it:
unzip exclusivecoind-ubu14-v1400.zip

Make it executable:
chmod +x exclusivecoind

Run your new daemon:
./exclusivecoind

Let us know how it goes.

Hello, evryone!

I just upgraded the masternode and my local wallet, to the new release v1400, and everything is running just fine!

I suggest to have a bootstrap file for people that upgrade after the new hardfork. Thre always are many of them.
