Re: Privacy Wallet for Bitcoin. New implementation, not coinjoin. First announcement

I must confess i didn't completely read the links you posted (i have to be in an online meeting in 12 minutes). I quickly scanned them tough, and i've read the other posts in this discussion.

Am i right in my understanding that you're basically exchanging BTC for an altcoin with better security features and call this altcoin pBTC. Then, you transact using pBTC instead of BTC and in the end users can exchange the pBTC back for real BTC and withdraw?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183909.0 That link gives a bit more info. In a way yes, that is how it works if you are using it as some kind of mixer service, but that is not entirely the best way to use incognito. If you hold your funds on incognito, all your assets are private, thus making it completely private. If you use incognito as a mixer service, without enough network movement and a bit of chain analysis your able to _somewhat_ trace a transaction.

What's the difference between this setup and, for the sake of argument, use coinomi (not a fan of coinomi, but any wallet with an exchange functionality built in will do), fund you wallet with BTC, exchange for XMR, transact with XMR, change it back to BTC and withdraw?

Well first, there is price variance when you buy/sell a token, so after the XMR transaction and changing it back to BTC you may end up with different balances than what you wanted. Secondly, there is no additional fee, its free to shield a token, its not free for a coinomi trade (I think, not really into coinomi).

The key point being here, that there are plenty of mixer alternatives that you could use, incognito is not a mixer service, it can be used as one, but it is more of an off- transaction ledger chain where you hold privacy versions of your public crypto assets, are able to transact them off-ledger. completely private within the network, and if there ever were a need for you to need a public version of your token, you could always unshield(burn tokens on incognito network and receive the public version of said token) from pBTC back to BTC.

Hope that clears it up a bit.

Re: [ANN] [Token Sale] 🔥🔥EasyDex: 50% Fees Sharing to token Holders

Hey just an update, no 50% fee sharedrop has been "sharedropped", the telegram group was very very awful and called me stupid and a wimp, for asking about the sharedrop and their NEW ico "easylife". I also asked about development of easydex and they arent really doing anything except their "easylife" thing.

The asnwer to the sharedrop not happening was that they did not recieve enough funds from the gateway fees yet, and that is totally understandable.

I asked them to update their asset on bitshares, and got called many names and called "stupid" for asking this.

The team was very unprofesional and unethical, one of the worst customer service experiences yet.

the tokens are worthless right now since they dont do anything, i havent seen any updates to easydex, only promises of easylife.

Ive asked around the community and no-one seems to be happy with the "service" easydex is putting out.

Oh and not to forget easydex was "hacked" a few weeks ago, because the admins left the account password in an email.  Huh

and they are the ones claiming to have password recovery on bitshares accounts? Im not going to give access to my password to people who leave the exchanges passwords in an email.

Just a thought. Oh and dont go talking to the easydex team about any of this, because you are considered a wimp/stupid or a paid critic.. Huh

Be very careful when dealing with this people.

-Cheers

With the further development of blockchain market, future investors to participate in more and more, really need some help investors make management platform, we hope that this is safe, convenient, perhaps easydex to excel in the future, continue to pay attention.

Very well put, and another great thing about easydex is that its also annon unless you deposit/withdraw fiat, so it can be a great place to be for those who want to maintain privacy.

Re: [ANN] [Token Sale] 🛡🔗Easydex-50% Revenue Sharing Decentralised Crypto Exchange🛡🔗

As a Bitshares user for over 4 years now, easydex provides a few things that bitshares wallet doesnt have, i feel it to be an extremely user friendly decentralized wallet/exchange, and theyre main goal is to provide easy use of a decentralized exchange.

But im going to point out a few things which i have noticied and it might also catch your attention.

-The password recovery tool, which could have saved me from losing my main account a few years back, has some pros and cons as well.

The pros: Well you cant lose your account, or you gotta be wayy too disorganized.
The cons: Easydex has a copy of your password, i mean so does poloniex bittrex binance etc etc. But as a security freak this may not always be attractive to the user, to solve that though, you can just simply opt-out of having a password recovery.

-The simplified version of bitshares wallet. Like guys, if you want mass adoptation of this stuff, you want to make software that is EASY to use, and that even that one guy who knows nothing about crypto can understand! Big thumbs up on that end EASYDEX.

-You dont even have to create a new bitshares account you can just log in with your bitshares details, how awesome is that!

-EasyDex has a a shareholder token!!
Ok, all of you guys use exchanges right, theres a few right? How can all of these exchanges be sustainable? FEES! Yes! FEES! They take fees everywhere, and thats how theyre business model is sustainable, so its proven to work. Now if you hold the shareholder tokens (easydex.pb on bitshares wallet) you get a 50% cut on ALL incoming gateway deposits and withdraws! If the exchange system is proven to be profitable, than shit i want a cut, im getting these tokens.

-The Dev team is extremely dedicated! Well known community members that have also been involved in other communities (Whaleshares as an example)

Well those are just some things id like to share for those who want to learn a bit more about this, thought id save you the time on the research. Wink

Great Project Cant wait to see what this monster turns into.

Theres alot of cannabis proyects out there but this ones pretty solid. The marketing video is gnarly and very profesional. The whitepaper, though a little long, is pretty far into detail. Already bought some Smoke Tokens on the Bitshares Exchange. https://wallet.bitshares.org/#/market/SMOKE_BTS

Hoping to see the development. Cheers.
