I had calculated the efficency from the official TDP Value on wikipedia and the max. Hashing values of the Litecoin wiki.
The 7970 and the 7950 are identical efficent in theory.Why do you rate the difference as "nowhere near"?
Any examples or experiences? (So far i tested 7970, 5970 and 6870)

The 7950 costs about $210, draws 200w, and mines at about 660 Kh/s.

I've built a few dozen mining systems, and have never liked the 7970 for mining. It creates a lot more heat, and in my experience isn't any faster than a 7950 for mining. Most of my friends that have 7970's paid around $400, and don't use them for mining anymore.
160w for 7950 and 220w 7970 are more accurate. and they both can go down to 160w~ with the correct clocks and mine @ +/- 650kh/s. 7970 @ 220w are able to do 730-750++

I don't really know anything about what caused the fork... just taking a guess seeing as how LBW has never had an update and it forked after exactly a month.
It was also a CAP-clone.
I don't know what happened with Lebowskies, but it seems like the devs made their own errors as it does not seem like the same issue cap is having. HBN is atm fork-free and the devs know exactly what they have to do to prevent forks as best as possible. Meaning we will have to suffer with a broken original wallet staking until the CAP issue is fixed. I would be rather surprised to see HBN forked by any conventional means, as I know people who hold the coin, holds lots of it and are trustworthy hobos.
As a sidenote, Bitcoin forked three years ago due to faults in the protocol. Forks doesn't mean a coin is doomed

Bottlecaps didnt fork per-se, it was going from the old to new version that screwed up the stakes. Getting stakes from the non-updated chain with the updated client.

I think it would depend on how many inputs each had. My guess is the first few were larger blocks like 25 each? The last were mined blocks of 5?

Can someone tell me when the stake will start working? Right now it is 0% interest as the transactions all show up but have 0 value. Not real good incentive to keep the wallet open.

The update is going to have too much rolled into it for a quick release. Everyone will need time for a mandatory update.
We have made the most of coding changes and its ready to go on the git. We will post the link for the update soon. All clients will need to be updated for it to take effect.
The updated code will go live 8-20-13.
This will give everyone enough time to update clients.

Autopay disabled or just not working?
JR member, Russian site, I'd be careful. Remember never use same username or password on these pool sites.
Pool is working perfectly. Autopayments are enabled and working aswell now. Not alot of stales and, personally, I have NEVER had trouble with russian pools. They are perfect for me considering I live in Norway.
+1 For Tranz's tip tho, that just goes for everything ever on the interwebz.

This thing is broke. I would have atleast 15 blocks which should have been staked by now. Instead I just got 2 mined messages with 0 coins and nothing in stake 
The fix is being set in motion 20th August. Those are stake blocks. Once confirmed, the stake blocks goes into your wallet (At a value of 5 HBN). The stake does not work at the moment, that is why the fix is being released.

It's worth about 0.0004 atm, it'll probably be worth 3-5 times asmuch as that when launched. If it became half as popular as LTC, it'd be worth ~0.016. It'll never get that popular though.
