Eso + ClearPoll Team

Over the past 12 months we’ve designed and built an amazing blockchain, capable of running ClearPoll at lightning speed and minimal cost, without sacrificing security. We were able to do this, largely due to having some of Australia’s best blockchain developers on our team. We have some of the best minds in the industry, constantly working to do things better and to evolve and push the limits.

This process has caused us to ask “what else” our blockchain can do.

We are very excited to announce that not only will be continue to develop, improve and market ClearPoll as promised, but we have been planning a potentially huge side project.

Whilst we can’t release any information about the side project at this stage, we can tell you how it will affect, or benefit, you — the POLL token holder.

The new project, known as “Eso” will use a modified version of the ClearPoll blockchain. It will be developed by the same team, plus some added developers.

Eso will have its own token and we’ll be holding an ICO during Q4 2018 and Q1 2019 (dates TBA).

So how does this benefit POLL holders?

The top 100 POLL holders on a date to be announced, will receive a 1:1 airdrop of ESO tokens. There will be a total supply of ESO of 70 million. The POLL holder snapshot will occur before the ESO ICO commences. Exchanges (Kucoin wallet for example) will be excluded from the top 100.

The ESO ICO will also accept POLL tokens as contributions, including a 20% bonus, so there is real incentive for a contributor to choose to contribute with POLL rather than ETH, BTC, NEO or LTC. This presents an opportunity for POLL holders to switch to ESO tokens if they choose, and also should create new POLL volume as others acquire POLL to contribute with.

So, not only will our top POLL holders get a lot of free ESO tokens, they’ll then be able to contribute those same POLL tokens to the ESO ICO, to get even more, with a generous bonus.

But there’s more! There’s always more.

Every single POLL token we receive during the ESO ICO, will be LOCKED for 12 months. That may be a significant percentage of the total POLL supply, given its low circulation and how many of the top POLL holders we expect will be contributing to the ESO ICO. POLL tokens received during ICO will not count towards our funding goal, as they don’t provide any funding for us.

Also, POLL tokens will be accepted as a currency as part of the Eso project, and it will be the only other cryptocurrency aside from ESO tokens, to be accepted. This gives an ongoing opportunity for POLL holders to use their tokens, plus may result in other users obtaining POLL to use the Eso service.

All we can tell you right now about Eso, is the following:
- It will be an app and desktop platform (like ClearPoll)
- It will be both crypto and mainstream focused (equally useful for both)
- It solves some major and very common problems and concerns in relation to security, privacy, communication and data storage
- It will be launched Q4 2019

Given that ClearPoll and Eso are from the same team, funds raised during Eso ICO will improve our ability to market and develop ClearPoll in the future. It’s no secret that the current market has made it difficult for us. Raising more funds for the same team will allow us to hire more team members and all team members will be working on both projects as needed.

Regarding our previous side project, Clearify, the bear market and slow down of high quality ICOs affected its success. It is still going, and the technology works perfectly. We’re still verifying ICOs but we are being far more selective about the quality and legitimacy of those ICOs. ClearPoll was always our “big idea”, and Eso has a good chance of being even bigger.

Over our journey we have learned a lot about the market and the various stages and requirements of holding an ICO, developing the product, marketing, running the community and more. We are confident the Eso project will be a success, both for token holders and as a standalone mainstream blockchain project.

We’ve just launched an exciting new service for the crypto market. CryptoRater allows users to rate coins, exchanges and ICOs using ClearPoll’s blockchain secured rating system.

Each rating is secured on the blockchain where it cannot be manipulated, deleted or censored. This provides a great integrated rating system where one “poll” is used to rate a coin, in potentially hundreds of locations around the internet. You may or may not be aware that ClearPoll has a feature called Star Polls. This is where stars, celebrities and influencers can poll their followers using the app. It will result in large scale mainstream exposure when we launch.

From Monday July 9, we will be naming the stars we have on board. We've got actors, athletes, musicians, media personalities, political, crypto stars and more. Some with millions of followers.

Ahh, you must be the chap that came in Telegram a few days ago, claiming to have 1M POLL, and proceeded to FUD and abuse the team constantly, in all caps, until you were banned. We have no time for blatant trolls, but if anyone else would like an answer to "why do they not get off ETH erc20 and make a dedicated blockchain" my response would be WE HAVE MADE A DEDICATED BLOCKCHAIN and you clearly have not even spent 2 minutes researching. We have stated dozens of times we've built our own chain, it was even in recent news on Medium and posted on all our social media. We do not use ETH for our chain, only for the tokens. You are obviously, very clearly trolling. We respond to all legitimate questions very quickly in Telegram. We do not respond to trolls or unsubstantiated personal attacks.

ClearPoll will give everyone an equal voice. It is a space where all are welcome. No favouritism, no censorship, no moderation. A truly fair, transparent and widely accessible way to vote on any topic, at any time, and have that vote secured with blockchain technology where it cannot be manipulated.
As you know we are in the process of approaching stars and influencers to use our platform. We should make it very clear, we do not endorse any particular personalities on our platform. ClearPoll is for everyone. Some polls may even be offensive or confronting to some people. ClearPoll only works if everyone is equally represented. We will not pick and choose our users or stars . We have an “all welcome” policy. If we were selective, we would be no better than other platforms who heavily moderate “free speech”.

After launch we will continue to develop the platform and create a place to not only vote, but to discuss topics and polls and really try and tap into what people want, and why they want it. Some people think that if the option they voted for was not in the majority, that other voters are “wrong”. Nobody is wrong, they are all entitled to their opinion and there are always reasons why they voted the way they did. This is why we do not hide any historical polls. An unexpected or unfavourable result for one person, may not be for another. If we give full access to all polls ever completed, it is fair for all users.

Now a little about our blockchain. There seems to be some confusion about ClearPoll tokens, as they are an ERC20 token. The tokens are separate to our blockchain. They are integrated into the platform in the form of rewards and also purchasing corporate services, but they are not used in the blockchain itself. Our blockchain is a fully custom built solution specifically designed for our needs. We don’t often speak about our blockchain on a technical level because we aren’t here to compete with other chains — it was designed specifically to power ClearPoll and it works perfectly.

Lead blockchain developer Adrian Daluz says:

It’s an Ethereum-like blockchain using a trust based proof of stake model for consensus without using POLL tokens for staking. It’s highly scalable, asynchronous and has an open ledger with full access nodes.
Another question we’ve had recently is in regards to privacy and data handling (specifically the new GDPR requirements). ClearPoll includes an option to “be forgotten” by allowing a user to delete their profile permanently. How is this possible? Profiles (usernames, age, gender etc) are not stored on the blockchain. Votes are stored on the chain, not profiles. When a user deletes their profile, their votes remain as a +1 on that particular poll, with no profile attached. On top of that, we never ask for identifiable data such as name, date of birth, address or email address and we will never make any personal data available to anyone, at any time. Our ClearPoll Plus advanced poll results are statistical, cumulative data. Nobody can see specifically which profile voted and nobody can access a user’s profile to view their voting history. The only time your vote will ever be visible, is if you choose to share your vote with your friends. Entirely optional. In summary, your profile data is not accessible to anyone unless you choose to share your activity, and you can delete your profile entirely at any time.

Anyone can vote on anything, any time.
Nobody can tamper with the votes or results.
All historical polls are viewable.
No profiles are stored on the blockchain, only votes.
All are welcome.
