Re: why we should Buy some Bitcoins

We should wait until the price becomes stable again. There are some panic sellers who have lost their money. Buyers may benefit from this situation though.

Re: Pricing things in Bitcoin rather than in US dollar what this could mean for BTC?

It will be difficult to price everything according to BTC. Not to mention, some things will be costlier than others. It can also affect the price of BTC. It might be stagnant if this happens.

CoinPayments is another one. If you have a faucet or earning site, FaucetPay is good.
Are they regulated?

I thought you could have corrected OP being an experienced member to move the post to beginners and help section where tjs thread could make more meaning

This actually makes more meaning in Service Discussions. Most newcomers will probably not start their journey with adding payment processor to their shop.

Have it occurred to you that this is a topic already discussed and, in case you want to start this, you should go for reading the old/existing ones and maybe extend those lists, or make your own, but clearly larger and more up-to-date than the existing? I mean, I don't know how good is the first one from your list, but you've clearly missed a great number of already existing payment gateways. Or maybe you wanted to only advertise one such business?

I may have missed some lists, however, anyone interested should start by looking into:
* What crypto payment gate is the best? survey of criteria, and pack of TOP charts
* [ list] Bitcoin Payment Processors
Right, I've missed out on many popular gateways and that’s for a reason. The purpose of creating this thread was to only discuss the regulated gateways I’ve personally used. Similarly I want other fellow members to extend this list by adding only the names they had a good experience with. I don’t see any point in mentioning plenty of popular gateways, those who are interested in it could even do a simple google search but don’t you think we can make this thread valuable by sharing our personal experiences.

You could also include Coinbase, a crypto exchange.

Flat 1% fee on all transactions. Regulated by the FCA
Thank you for the suggestion. I did check this gateway but I found that they don’t support  some major coins like Cardano, Solana, Litecoin and Tether.

Payment gateways for accepting cryptocurrencies
by

Crypto payments today are becoming more and more popular because compared to traditional payment systems they offer more convenience, higher transaction speed, lower fees, anonymity and security.

However, the first thing to start accepting crypto payment is to choose the right payment processor. So, here I have listed a few regulated ones along with their important features.

CapitalWallet

Website link: /3TZydQ8]https://capitalwallet.com/merchant-solution
Transaction fees: 0.5% per transaction
Conversion fees: 0.5% per conversion
Supported cryptocurrencies: Supports upto 200 cryptocurrencies including major coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin as well as stable coins.
Multi-signature: Yes
Payment integration: API
Regulations: AUSTRAC

Coingate

Website link: /3FDn0QH]https://coingate.com/
Transaction fees: 1%
Conversion fees: 1%
Supported cryptocurrencies: Supports upto 68 cryptocurrencies including major coins and stable coins.
Multi-signature: No
Payment integration: PoS, API, payment buttons and plugins.
Regulations: Follows the measures set by EU General Data Protection Regulation

Bitpay

Website link: /3NPiXms]https://bitpay.com/
Transaction fees: 1%
Conversion fees: No conversion fees
Supported cryptocurrencies: Supports 10 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin etc.
Multi-signature: Yes
Payment integration: Open source plugins
Regulations: FinCEN

I have mentioned these payment gateways as I found their fees reasonable and they also allow you to receive the cryptocurrencies that are widely used for making payments. If you have used another payment gateway and think it’s worth mentioning here, please feel free to add them to the list.

Re: Is it a good time to start accepting BTC?
by

When we talk about bitcoins, it’s never too late or early. Receiving them as a payment is a great idea indeed. Bitcoins are profitable but volatile and if you are not sure then take your time. Bitcoin, and most other crypto, is considered to be immune from inflation since there is a fixed supply of it and the government can't manipulate its value. However, its value is tremendously volatile, so relying on it comes with an element of risk.

Bitcoin in limited amounts can be regarded as scarcer than gold. Limited bitcoins derived their value as scarce assets.

I think it would be great to see local shops accepting bitcoin for their services and products. I have not found a shop locally so far but it looks like the world is changing and in some time, there will be more shops accepting bitcoin for payments.

Re: Could Bitcoin's transparency be its downfall?
by
Cledonism
on 08/06/2022, 04:20:12 UTC
I guess not because bitcoin transparency is what makes people believe in it more than their fiat currency sometimes. People believe that it offers fast and safe transactions that are sometimes an issue with the fiat currency because of the government involvement in it.

Sometimes, my trust in bitcoin is so high that I don’t really care how low it goes. And sometimes, I feel like I am making a mistake and I should move over it. The dilemma is probably because of the statement given by some financial experts that bitcoin is a risky asset.

It’s better to have multiple wallets from the safety pov. Half of my crypto holdings are at capital wallet whereas another half are at kraken. I always believe in splitting up my capital instead of parking it all in one place.

Re: At what age did you start learning about bitcoin?
by

I heard of bitcoin in my early twenties but in detail, I got to know about it when I was 26 years old. Age obviously didn’t play any role but as I was already trading forex, I had an idea about how the financial markets work, it helped me with crypto trading as well. As far as it is about starting to trade bitcoin at an early stage, it would surely have been great.

Hodling is a great option in case of market uncertainty. When it is about bitcoin, I am kind of sure that the market will recover, no matter what. But I can’t say the same thing in case of other cryptocurrencies too. But still, it’s better than short selling.

by

I can’t agree with what the OP is saying. Just because a country has made bitcoin legal doesn’t mean that it will become rich in some time. In fact, I don’t see a connection in how accepting bitcoin as a national currency will help a country in overall development. 8 years are too less to convince every citizen of El Salvador that bitcoin is worth their money.

If you can’t find a restaurant that accepts payment in BTC, try to get a restaurant owner who would be interested in crypto. If you happen to find a Bitcoin enthusiast they would totally love to get funded through a pizza delivery. I think that will be the best way to celebrate Bitcoin pizza day.

Re: What can we do to speed up Bitcoin mass adoption?

The most important thing to do to speed up the Bitcoin mass adoption is to get the world to acknowledge the importance of Bitcoin and its potential to revolutionise the world.Once it is acknowledged and legalised by governments, people might automatically start buying bitcoins.

Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you
by
Cledonism
on 23/05/2022, 09:00:50 UTC
You can post on social media, and also you can talk about bitcoin to your near & dear ones. You can start by telling them casually about the basics and not forcing them. If you do so, they’ll think you’re trying to scam all of their money. The best way is to post your experiences and journey on social media as more people will see and if interested will get inclined towards bitcoin.

Re: Bitcoin is a Myth and not Real
by
Cledonism
on 20/05/2022, 04:04:32 UTC
Bitcoin is real, but Bitcoin is not fake. Bitcoin is a digital currency that is created, stored and exchanged in digital wallets and traded on virtual exchanges. Bitcoins are not printed, like dollars or euros – they're produced by people, and increasingly businesses, running computers all around the world, using software that solves mathematical problems. The digital coins are then stored in online wallets, or traded on exchanges, to be spent by the owners.
