Re: Why China is always bad news for bitcoin?
by
CloudStrife
on 03/02/2018, 15:58:46 UTC
This may sound funny but that is the reality. why?
Though the title says it all, you know China was the once the safe haven for bitcoin and bitcoiners.
Then, China started doing something to hurt the bitcoin and cryptocurrency in-general from banning ICOs to cryptocurrency exchanges and now they are after bitcoin miners, again... What is your thought on this matter? Share with us. thanks Smiley
Maybe because they are a communist country... But "always" is a generalization in this case. We know that there are people there that continue to work hard for Bitcoin.

Re: how to start trading with a very small amount

as i am a newbie.. i know nothing about trading... what should i do to start trading and multiply my btc.. guys please help me
If you know nothing about trading, don't trade.

You will have to spend a few months, at least, to learn the basics of it. With a very small investment, it can be useful for practice. However, to earn enough for a living, I'm afraid a very small amount will not be enough. You would need a few tens of thousands of dollars for that.

Re: Is Bitcoin Volatility A Bad Thing?
by
CloudStrife
on 26/12/2017, 23:21:51 UTC
Having a volatile price means that people have freedom to set their own prices, which is something to be expected from a decentralized asset, which is traded in a free market.

Under different conditions, we would have governments and banks setting the price of it, which history has shown is a very bad idea.

The protocol itself is very safe. In fact it is one of the safest things in the fintech sector already created. The question is: will users use it wisely and make safe decisions? Well, not all of them.

Things like this bring some manipulation, which is normal in any market, but it doesn't hurt the protocol. Bitcoin will continue to be Bitcoin.

I think these forks are a much bigger threat.

Can you guys think of what the next FAD will be after 99% of these ICOs have suckered people out of their bitcoin? What is the next moneymaker for scammers?
ICOs are definitely the biggest problem... but few will admit it, since they're heavily invested in it. But people will not be able to ignore the consequences of their actions.

Smart guys are cashing out right now, if they have not already done so.

After so much turbulence, it's incredible how Bitcoin remains strong. I think that after this, people will realize how Bitcoin is resilient, and serious investors will consider coming in. The sky is the limit...

Re: Buying from ICO or trading altcoin.
by

ICOs are going to become a lot riskier now that SEC is coming down on it, buy crypto markets are still very illiquid. So holding Bitcoin is still the wisest thing to do.

Re: Ethereum in 5 years

What would be your target price of Ethereum for 2022?

Ether price in 5 years would be around $8000 - $10,000 minimum
Are you sure? From what I've learned so far, they would need a miracle to be here in 5 years... I mean, we know blockchains don't die, but as their platform becomes popular, they will have serious scaling problems.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/434b3a/is_myetherwalletcom_legit_has_the_code_been/

I dedicated a laptop to generate keys offline and never go online with it. I have a dedicated laptop for my online wallets like myetherwallet. But a ledger nano should be able to fix those issues i think. I am just not sure how many alt coins are supported.
I'm surprised at how many altcoins Ledger supports. I think it would be very useful for someone holding different cryptos.

If you had most of your holdings on safe ground, you would not be panicking. You have to decide what is best for yourself, but if I were you I would start liquidating my altcoins as early as possible. Bitcoin not only is safer, but could even cover your losses, especially now that segwit is almost guaranteed.

Re: Does Bitcoin have a future?
by
CloudStrife
on 07/07/2017, 22:32:42 UTC
Anyone who knows how a blockchain works can understand that Bitcoin is here to stay.
The question is what future would this be? It is difficult to predict, but we know that for Bitcoin to have a good future we have to do our best to keep it decentralized.

I think it is possible, but to achieve stability at such levels it would be required mass adoption.

Re: Bitcoin can reach 3000 USD in a year ?
by

on 08/06/2017, 21:54:22 UTC
It's not unrealistic by the end of this year. But I think some things may occur differently than expected, and it's important to be prepared for it. It all depends on how efficient devs and miners will be to solve the current network problems.

I'm pretty sure no one will be able to list all forms of earning Bitcoin. Finding the best of them is also a tricky task, but you can select the best ones that have already been listed here, or even look at bitwage.com, as someone mentioned, and by elimination find the ones that are according to your profile, cause in the end it's always a matter of skills.

Re: Will BU Fork Soon Rip the Network in Half?

I don't know why people still fall into so much FUD. Take a look at the BU bitfinex token, the price has dropped considerably, and the volume is really low. In addition to the fact that the hype has declined, it seems that people in the market are not willing to take the risk of investing into it.

For me this is no big problem, since the primary use for me is storage of value, but high fees will certainly affect people who need to make transactions on a daily basis.

Re: Will Dogecoin have a future?
by
CloudStrife
on 12/04/2017, 15:04:02 UTC
For the currency to have maintained a marketcap above $ 40 million, for all these years, there is certainly some resilience in that. However, in the long term most of these altcoins will tend to zero, and Dogecoin has a high chance of suffering the same fate of such cryptocurrencies.

Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless?
by
CloudStrife
on 02/04/2017, 07:14:17 UTC
An increase in the Bitcoin price would not make people stop using Fiat. For that to happen, people would need to find a more efficient way to micropayments, and maybe a large number of people would stop using fiat currency. But at the moment, the Bitcoin network is not ready for micropayments, and nothing guarantees that this will happen when Bitcoin reaches $ 10,000. Either way, this works, and will probably continue to work as a very efficient way to store value.
