Re: Bittrex Account Hacked
by

on 25/09/2017, 16:19:51 UTC
This shit is real! A good mate of mine just lost 5BTC even though he had f2a activated. He was logged in to bittrex on another computer and saw the hackers sell his coins for BTC, he managed to cancel the withdrawals 5 times whilst he was simultaneously getting his wallet address ready to withdraw the funds himself.
The hackers then sold the BTC to ETH and when he tried to cancel this withdrawal he got a message saying that he was unable to cancel the request.
A ticket has been opened to Bittrex for what that's worth.
Be careful guys.

Noob stratum questions
by
CloudbaseJ
on 12/09/2017, 08:09:47 UTC
Hello
Currently I'm using claymore to mine EXP but I noticed the busier pools recommend ethermine with a stratum proxy.
My main question is does claymore have a built in stratum proxy or should I be setting one up?
If I use genoil then would that remove any of the difficulties of setting up a stratum?

Hello,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I haven't tried again since the issue, I went back to mining ETH. I believe it was because of the increased traffic on ubiqpool.io as it seems like I wasn't the only person having the problem.
I'll try again tomorrow, hopefully with better luck.

Rejected shares, dissconnect
by

on 17/08/2017, 06:22:21 UTC
Hello

I mined ubiq a while ago now but I recently installed claymore 9.8 and started again.
After 7 hours I noticed that I had about 10% rejected shares and also that it kept disconnecting from the pool due to the amount of rejected shares.
Any idea why this would start to happen?

Thanks again, My only problem now is that the only USB drive I have, has been connected to the computer i want to wipe, so i can't create an ISO on it without the risk of just copying the virus over again.
It'll have to wait until i get a new one i guess.

Thank you all! Excellent posts all round and not one of you called me a fool for falling for a potential scam.
The machine in question is my mining rig and as such I don't have any real information on it and it is still mining to my wallet.
To play it safe I am going to follow your advice and do a fresh windows install and flash the BIOS.
Probably a daft question but is it remotely possible that TeamViewer could have transmitted the virus to my other computer?

I may have been dosed with malware

hello,
I was careless the other day and I downloaded a miner of a link that I thought was trustworthy, the miner worked fine but as soon as i noticed my mistake i deleted it and ran full scans of my computer including boot time scans.
I have not noticed anything happening yet and have found no viruses on my scans but is there a way I can find out if i got infected?
And if so is there a way i can get rid of said infection?
FYI, I clicked a link on a CryptoNoob youtube vid that was re-posted under a different user. What a tool I am!

Re: One GPU fluctuating hashrate
by

on 12/08/2017, 09:06:56 UTC
Thanks for the reply.
I have just noticed that the specific GPU that fluctuates changes each time i use team viewer sometimes GPU 0 sometimes GPU 3 etc.
The log file is also showing fluctuations but not as bad as when I'm using a remote monitor.
I have just switched pools to see if this makes a difference if not then I will follow your advice and start stripping risers etc..

Thanks

One GPU fluctuating hashrate
by

on 11/08/2017, 15:15:04 UTC
hello again,

One of my GTX 1070s has a hashrate that fluctuates between 25MH/s and 32MH/s even if i dumb down my OC then it stilll fluctuates a lot.
Could it be that this only happens whilst I'm using team viewer or do i have a duff card?

Cheers

I should've known! Faulty riser, which I think messed up my drivers. All sorted now.
Thanks for the help

I have now tried all the above with no fix.
Strangely though if I unplug all gpus apart from one then I can get to the mobo splash screen. Here I can see the wheel turning, like windows is trying to load but nothing happens.
Any ideas? Cheers

Gtx 1070 issues!!!!
by

on 09/08/2017, 23:59:37 UTC
Hello

So I just bought a new 1070, bringing my total up to 4.
I plugged the new one in and all was good for 5 hours, then before bed I checked it and it had frozen.
I down clocked the memory a little and 're booted, now all I get is a black empty box which is claymore on a black screen. I 're boot but get the same blackness.
I tried resetting the cmos but no change I also unplugged the new card but no change.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

hello

So i have been mining sigt for 2 day and have noticed that, about once per hour I'm getting the notice: GPU# Results not validated by CPU.
Is this a big deal? I have adjusted my OC but it doesn't change.

3x GTX 1070
Intel Pentium Kaby Lake g4560

You are right! Thanks mate, not getting back up to 80+ but changing the TDP has given me a bump.
Time to start the long process of balancing efficiency vs MH/s.
