Re: Should video games be considered a sport?

Games are improving skills, providing enjoyment to participants and most of times (in tournaments) entertainment for spectators. So this is cyber sport ))

Fully agreed as a former cybersportsmen. To win and even to achieve a remarkable result you need to work hard! Very hard.

Re: Depression.. the disease of our times?

great post. there is really not enough discussion of depression in general and many people feel ashamed or embarrassed about it in the first place. the realization that one gets an infinite number of do-overs (for most things, anyway) is pretty powerful.

How can this be?  Doesn’t the rest of the world understand that international security is at huge risk?  Was there no one else? This is horrendous.

How do you guys feel about photoshop vs illustrator? Which is better for what exactly?

They are different. Photoshop is mainly for bitmapped gfx, and Illustrator for vector gfx like Corel. But Corel do not support Mac's

But it is possible to work with bitmaps in Illustrator? Layers, filters, effects and so on?

Re: Kremlinbots
by
Cloudy
on 18/11/2018, 15:27:36 UTC
A few days ago, Twitter posted a database of tweets from a Russian "bot factory". Activity schedule in Russian (orange) and in English (red).
The orange peak is the period of the annexation of Crimea and downing Boeing MH17 over Donbas and the high red activity is the US presidential election.
As we know massive activity spotted at Facebook, Youtube, Reddit etc.
So I wonder is any kremlinbots being caught here at bitcointalk or nobody cares?

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DptlpFEWkAEubSC.jpg

For those who interested:
the whole database is here https://about.twitter.com/en_us/values/elections-integrity.html#data
tl;dr https://twitter.com/benimmo/status/1052545119826706433
Kremlin bots works for politics. What would they do here?

Re: Is taxation theft?
by

Taxation is not theft. Taxation is the dues for semi-mandatory membership to an enormous resource cooperative. How quickly anarcho-anythingists forget the simple joy of having flush toilets. Now, what happens to those dues AFTER collection – that's theft. And who's doing the thieving?
.. Anarcho-capitalists. Yeah, good luck with all that "liberty" when there's no authority to stop them from enslaving you completely.

they seem to think that private companies would be better as if they wouldn't do something similar or worse like pay to just use the bathroom in the first place then make you pay to flush it

Increased regulations and control mechanisms are probably not the answer. They are costly and tend to stifle initiatives and administrative dynamics. But why not have better regulation and more effective control in areas prone to corruption. Is that so difficult?

Now I play PUBG Mobile. It's fun.

Its  a remarkable technical achievement and deserves commendation for being a fully playable, feature-packed, and stable iteration of a demanding PC and console game.

It is said that 8 hours is normal. For who? I sleep 5 hours a day and its normal for me. I look healthy, work normally and not sleepy all day. And my friend for example is tired if he slept less than 10-11 hours a day... So this is very individual.

I suspect that the word "atheist" itself contains or remains a stumbling block far out of proportion to what it actually means, and a stumbling block to people who otherwise might be happy to out themselves.

Re: How to gain weight?

I'm seriously underweight right now at the age of 21. I'm unable to increase my diet, and still wish to get 1-2 inches increase in height and gain more weight.

Any tips?
Its unable to gain height after 17-18 years. But if you want to gain weight you should get a consultation of a diet doctor first.

Re: How much would you pay for immortality?

And how will you liveaYou won't mentally be able to handle never dying, and you'll start wishing you had. Life will become repetitive and a pain to live, not a joy. After a few hundred years, you'll have done it all.

It's also unnatural and bad for the planet - imagine a world where no one died in the past. The world would have a population of approximately 100 Billion People. This is simply unsustainable.

Not to mention, our universe will end at some stage. You can't possibly outlive the universe.

So yeah, I don't think it'll happen ever, for the reasons that it is super unethical and impossible.
