Re: What if Government bans Bitcoins?
by

First, what government are you talking about? And how can you ban anything you do not control? Is that at all possible? I don't believe so. But if a government tries to ban it, they will have to put up with the situation when money goes underground and the government will have to face decrease in tax payments which it cannot control.

I'd rather say "Banks will never be against cryptocurrencies" because crypto is one of the best ways to make money and the volatility isn't going to scare them away from crypto Cool

Re: Is it my impression or media is biased towards bad news ?
by

They can do whatever they want to, but they can't destroy one of the most promising technologies out there. In some ways, I believe it's beneficial for all of us here when the media make the market go up and down. The more they do it, the more money we can make trading because without fluctuations the market is dead. Cool

the media only cares about orders and traffic, but they will also be positive when bitcoin becomes a very good potential for the country, it will be better if it is confirmed by the government that continues to issue policies to support it, but unfortunately this has not happened and they still seem unable see positive things from the cryptocurrency.

When the market is like this, it's easier for them to capitalize on that. It's like a vicious circle: bad news bring about bad market, while bad marked is bound to bring about bad news.

Re: DO PEOPLE STILL HAVE CONFIDENCE IN BITCOIN?
by

Although I can see many people who have lost their confidence, I know many of them who still believe in BTC and more importantly I know a lot of people who are 'joining the club.' They also believe, but primarily in technology (meaning Blockchain), which in a way makes them believe in Bitcoin, which is a positive sign, I guess.

Re: BITCOIN NOT SO ANONYMOUS!
by
CoachCC
on 11/09/2018, 12:52:28 UTC
There’s a big misconception that bitcoin is entirely anonymous. Bitcoin is pseudoanonymous, in the sense that your name is not linked to your bitcoin address, but you still have a bitcoin address that’s static and so it could technically be linked to you.
Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed
Is this a True ?

If you use the same btc address for every transaction then yes it's pseudoanonymous but I think it depends on the wallet service you're using. Many popular wallets like ledger live will automatically generate a new btc address every time you send or receive btc.

Yes, I've noticed that, too: whenever I want to receive BTC, my Ledger generates a new address, BUT I believe it'll ultimately depend on whether or not your payer has a wallet generating a new address, in which case the transaction becomes hard to trace. Otherwise, all your transactions from a non-anonymous payer are potentially traceable Wink

Re: At what price will you panic and start selling coins?

I guess I might start panicking if the price drops to about $3,5 or $3k. Until then, I'll probably keep hodling.

Hi I just got some extra money and I'm looking to invest, I want to invest in BTC but the price is too high for me,  what do you think will be the next BTC
one you can buy low and make a good profit when it burst?

Firstly, BTC is the safest bet, but you don't have to buy BTC1,000 or something if you can't afford it. The good thing is you can buy $100 or $1,000 worth of BTC and hodl or trade it. As simple as that, IMHO.

I don't know if there could be a safer wallet than Ledger Nano S. They say Trezor is also good, but I've never used it myself, so can't promise anything.

Even if a country has banned cryptocurrency, it can't stop people from using and investing in it. Those countries will have to face it sooner or later and start regulating cryptocurrencies.

Re: Is the world ready for cryptocurrency?
by

on 10/08/2018, 12:13:04 UTC
I don't really think the world is 100% ready. I feel it's more like 30%-40% to me.
Blockchain is an amazing technology, yet, it has some room for improvement and so do cryptocurrencies.
The reasons are obvious, the lack of public awareness and legal framework to ensure everything is legal and prepare both the public and the government around the world.

That's 100% true. Despite all those numerous coins around there, I can see that Bitcoin remains the most trusted coin ever, let alone the fact it has the highest price/value.

Although it's not that easy, I do my best to keep calm and relaxed because I know how big a mistake can be sometimes, so I'm trying hard. I go jogging; I also like to walk in the park across the street and I go out and get something to eat. Something I love so much that when I'm eating it, it makes me forget about everything else, including the falling market.

i think thats not only for bitcoin, there are many things in smartphone that we can use for payment, like the apple pay, google pay, pay with QR, pay with NFC and many programs, so this era is not bitcoin era, but the digital currency era, what is mean? i think that all digital currency that have the instant access will be the change the payment system right now

Right. That's what comes to my mind, too, but not only that. I also think of WeChat payments that are incresasingly popular in China: they don't need cash anymore. At least that's what I heard.

I guess you might like to visit Deloite's website for some related information. (https://www2.deloitte.com/us/en/pages/life-sciences-and-health-care/articles/life-sciences-health-care-tech-trends.html) There are some podcasts about Blockchain in life sciences and health care. I believe BTC in Medical Industry is almost a reality.

Re: Bitcoin cannot be a global currency
by

What are you talking about "Bitcoin cannot be a global currency"? Does it have any physical boundaries? Can't it be accepted anywhere in the world providing they have internet access there? I believe it IS global, but what it it's NOT, technically, it is NOT a 'reserve currency'. But it is global by definition.  Cool
