I would hope that most exchanges are not using PHP and non ACID databases for transactions.
You clearly state what you are not using. Could also give an overview of what tech you are using for the app server and database and frontend.

I am a web developer, who has been watching Bitcoin from the sidelines for a while now. I am primarily a python and javascript developer. Building applications using a number of MVC* frameworks and pure javascript, normally with a REST api built with Django. I have built projects involving GIS, biometric data, task scheduling, Redis and even have experience with SaltStack.
Here is a rough application I developed to learn AngularJS. It allows you to scan a public address to monitor its balance. The video capture part of the project only works on Chrome/Android. Initial load is not optimised
With some incentive I could continue to develop this app!
