Newbie signs up!
Can some1 explain what is escrow?

Escrow is provide by a third party service that holds a payment until products or services are delivered. For example, if I had one bit coin for sale and you wanted to buy it, I wouldn't just send you the bitcoin and trust that you will send me my payment. I might require escrow. In this case, you would send payment to a third party escrow service and I would be notified that the payment was being held. I would then send you the bitcion. Once you receive the bitcoin, the escrow service would send me the payment. Escrow is a way to bring in a trusted third party for a transaction.

I would like to request addition to the Whitelist.

We are a licensed travel agency that is developing a platform to allow travel related services to be purchased with BitCoin. In addition to customer transactions, we are focused on creating functionality that allows travel suppliers a vehicle to take payment directly via BitCoin. We are not a directory based service but rather a bridge that brings together the traveler and services like lodging, transportation, events, all inclusive resort and VIP specialty services. While we are still under development, our mission is to allow community interaction to guide us toward the best possible solution for community members.

We strongly believe in the community behind BitCoin, and other crypto-currencies, and feel it important to be as engaged in community support as much as possible, both inside and outside of our business offerings.

Thank you for your consideration,

Mike (CoinGo)

do you have a blog or e-newsletter I can sign up for so that when you're up and running I can check it out?

We should be finished with the general layout for public view in a week or so, which will have a space for email launch notifications. I'll PM you when that is available. Our target launch date is September / October 2013.

THIS is awesome! I will use your services.

Basically, aside from saving some coins here and there... I want promote and help establish BTC by trying everything!

Thank you.

This is one reason we are so excited about BitCoin, and the community behind it. There is a real need for real world services to move into the space. On our end, we are very excited about the Las Vegas market. We have on the ground experience in Vegas, providing VIP concierge services through various outlets. With a phone call, we can literally get anything you'd want. We once had to fill an order for $1000 worth of M&M's for a client. He wanted them delivered to his room, put in glass bowls, separated by color.

I just hope other business outside of the tech space soon realize the opportunity with BitCoin and the community. Once the shift begins, our hope is the value will be cemented. I too want to try everything, so we're in the same boat!

Hi,

Give my partners and I a few months and you'll be able to travel with Bitcoin. We are a licensed travel agency moving into the Bitcoin space. We are leveraging established relationships in Las Vegas, where we intend to begin services. You'll also be able to book travel outside of the Las Vegas space by request, prior to our roll out in other dedicated markets.

Bitcoin is very exciting. I am looking forward to other business services coming on board as time goes on.

Re: Why did you join this forum
by

I joined this forum because I see this technology as the future of business. I get the same feeling as I did when I first started using the Internet. With the benefit of hindsight, I see an opportunity to develop services that embrace this technology, thus both strengthening cryptocurrencies and the communities that surround them. I envision a time when the average human being, regardless of nationality, can participate in a border-less economy. My focus is on travel, so my ideal would be to utilize Bitcoin as a means to travel the world, using it to rent a room for a night, purchase local transportation and participating in local entertainment.

I believe this forum represents the heartbeat of this dynamic and amazing community. I am grateful to see such robust interaction.

What sub forum is the best place to announce a new business?
by

Hi,

As you can see by my post count, I am new to the forum. I have a high level of respect for Bitcoin, not only as a monetary system but for the strong community surrounding it. I look forward to becoming a valued member of this community, so I'd like to proceed in the correct way.

At the moment, my team and I are moving into the Bitcoin space, developing a travel related service. While still under development, I wanted to take the time to become actively involved on BitCoin Talk and contribute the knowledge I have gleaned thus far. When the time is right for me to announce the launch of our service, what sub forum would be the most appropriate? It seems the Marketplace would be the best, but I have seen announcements in other sections of this site as well.

What would you recommend?

Thank you in advance for your replies. I look forward to making new connections and eventual long term friendships.

Thanks OP for starting this thread. It's tough to find places that accept BitCoin. Aside from keeping track of this thread, I've bookmarked your directory. Best of luck to you and your venture. I'd post my URL, but we're still under development.
