If we have 0.5 Bitcoin and 1 Bitcoin that are bought on same date then 'percentage of profit' on both will be same if hodled for same duration. If you don't have huge money to invest in Bitcoin then don't get discourage rather keep investing whatever you have. Of course the one who has more money can go for more aggressive accumulation. In the end, percentage of profit will be same in both cases. It's important to understand that Bitcoin is for everyone not just for rich guys.

Are you sure you have done this calculation well? Because I don't think it was calculated the way it was meant because there isn't how 0.5 and 1 Bitcoin will have an equal outcome of an investment because with Bitcoin moves and the one of 0.5 doubled to 1 Bitcoin the second amount of 1 Bitcoin will also double in price given 2 Bitcoin instead of the actual number it was meant to be so actually you can say that 0.5 of Bitcoin can be highly profitable in the future but doesn't mean it can be the same with the amount that's higher than that, actually a person shouldn't invest based on equality of profit with others but instead they should think on how they can grow there investment.
percentage is different from actual number. we can have the same profit percentage but because you invested more and i invested less our figures will be different and the one with the higer investement will gain more.
by the way comparism can will become a killer of joy. if i continue investing as little as $10-$15 a week after a long term will be something for me. it is about my investment not who can save one bitcoin.

The current time is a period to buy more bitcoin, the greed index is still prevalent and everyone believes that the price of bitcoin will continue to rise, even those who sell now the intention that the price of bitcoin will decrease in the short term and is an opportunity to buy more bitcoin for the long term.
If you are an investor, it is an ideal opportunity to buy, and if you are in circulation, it is a good opportunity for sale and purchase at a cheaper price in the coming weeks.
I won’t sell except for problems my emergency funds can’t solve because I know I am right to continue buying bitcoin. When I look at my wallet I don’t believe that I am able to hold that amount. Small saving can quickly add up. Be like me and just continue with saving the small you have .

What of in rough times, I had a family friend who battled illness I had to be there for her and I used my little Bitcoin saved. I am not crying over it because I can still continue to save more the little way I do. I don't think about big profit now but continuity.

What you did is not a bad thing honestly, you are trying to save a life, but you did the right thing the wrong way, selling off your Bitcoin to pay for medical bills of your friend should have been totally avoided if you had  an emergency funds in place that stands as the last layer of protection to your Bitcoin investment, but because their was no measures in place like emergency and reserve funds, you were forced to sell off your Bitcoin holdings even though you never wish to, so in this your situation, it is lack of proper planning on days like that, days of emergencies that cost you your Bitcoin investment, I just hope that you learn from it and for it not to repeat itself again.
I have seen stories like this countless times repeating itself over and over again because most folks fail to learn, but in all we do, for the sake of our Bitcoin holdings, we shouldn't joke with emergency and reserve funds.
Emergency fund is relative. The bill for the medical bill wasn’t going to be covered by my emergency fund, I am not worried about selling my bitcoin to help my friend i am working two jobs and I am still saving. I will repeat I don’t think about big profits but consistency.

Those who wait for a specific price to invest are definitely making a big mistake because Bitcoin's movement or its fluctuations can never be predicted, but if you wait to invest, you may panic later due to Bitcoin's volatility, so you may eventually give up.

So consistency is the best investment decision here, invest as much as you can afford to lose, and no matter how small the amount, the goal here should be long-term, and the investment method should be to deposit Bitcoin through DCA consistently, but it will definitely bring positive results.

You can’t wait for a specific price before you invest in Bitcoin, Bitcoin can not be predicted and with the way Bitcoin is going you can’t wait for a perfect time to invest because it may lead to regret at the end, you can invest in Bitcoin in different ways and you can meet up with your demand or the amount of Bitcoins you want to buy, using a DCA method is the best way to buy when you want to meet up with the quantity of Bitcoin you want to buy, one thing i observe with some newbies when they heard invest as much as you can lose is that some think they can buy Bitcoin with any amount and be expecting big profits, the more you invest the more you earn profits that’s how Bitcoin works.
What of in rough times, I had a family friend who battled illness I had to be there for her and I used my little Bitcoin saved. I am not crying over it because I can still continue to save more the little way I do. I don't think about big profit now but continuity.

Re: Improving the Nigerian name in remote cryptocurrency jobs

Honestly speaking am not a big fan of paying attention to what others think or say about me because I believe that life will not get easier, you as a person just get stronger, wiser, more skillful etc.

Why am saying this is that being a Nigerian is a pride to me, so if most remote jobs are close to us, to me it's their loss because we have more to offer than most of those set of people they open it for, that's why I will always recommend learning a digital skill like trading coding, web designing etc, these are skills that will pay you good money any day any time, and one thing you need to know about most of this skills is that you will not have to be at the mercy of anyone, if you are truly good, you will always be needed.

I am a crypto trader, I don't have to rely on anyone to earn a living in the market, I get rewarded by my performance, so why am saying all this is that shit or terrible things will always happen, you just be strong enough mentally, intellectually, digitally or any form to create a way to navigate your way around it, or as our leaders are not doing well should we continue feel pity for ourselves? No,  just cry if you must but giving up is never an option because a true Nigerian never surrenders.
Web designing go still require you to get employed or get gigs from people that need your services. I am a free lancer and I actually understand what OP is talking about, I have had negotiation break downs because of I said I was a Nigerian, and some of my colleagues way don Jakpa have now began to see opportunities way them been no dey see for here. I no go advice trading if person no Dey interested in it. Freelancing is still hot just that Nigeria need to get better image to the outsiders. Things don Dey better already.

Re: Crypto backed mortgage

Bitcoin or crypto-backed loans are nothing new. They're offered by both crypto and traditional financial companies. Even in this forum, it's available. A crypto-backed mortgage is just another kind of crypto-backed loan.

But why do you think it's a smart move to use your Bitcoin or crypto as a collateral when the market is down? Although, yeah, it helps you avoid getting liquidated, it also means you're getting a much lower value of what you have. You're risking your Bitcoin to a third-party in exchange for, say, 40% or 50% or 60% of its value. Personally, I don't think it's worth it.
Like you correctly said avoiding to getting liquidated is the main reason I find it interesting. Well this might now be worth it but also selling of your bitcoin for real estate in my opinion is worse especially when you are holding bitcoin that can easily go parabolic at any time, also I find it interesting compared to the traditional means because it offers a less restricted real estate opportunity.

Crypto backed mortgage

I came across a very interesting post that I found very important.
Real estate is expanding and it’s an area of investment what exploring. Not just for investment purposes, the cost of housing has almost doubled if not more, so as a crypto person the topic CRYPTO BACKED MONTAGE is important.

https://cointelegraph.com/explained/what-are-crypto-backed-mortgages-and-how-do-they-work

The article above explains the topic to a very good extent. As a crypto holder especially when the market is down with the potential of going back up I think it is a smart move to use your crypto holding( could be any acceptable coin in your possession) as a collateral to become a real estate investor.

I think this can be a big opportunity especially for those who doesn’t meet up with the requirements of the traditional mortgage system. This will allow more people explore the real estate market and also enable long term crypto holders the luxury of not selling their crypto yet.

Some of my confusion is the valuation. I mean will the value be based on the value of the coin as at when the deal was made or will it be fluid and can go with the present price of bitcoin when the loan will be repaid.
