With the society collapsing , I fear for a common man , I fear for the families who were already living on the edge and now without any jobs , without any money , they are surviving on the brink .
Yes the government is distributing food for the poor , they are doing whatever they can , but it is not enough .
Just like , we are able to transfer our education system , all online in a matter of days , why are they not doing the same for most of the offices ?
Simply because some paper works are not built for online yet. We're still in the process wherein we're shifting offline transactions online. That takes a lot of time and for third world countries, it'll take a longer time I guess since not all of the business were capable in making their system available online. Another factors is that people who are working (specially old workers) are not too knowledgable about the computer. Thus, they are less productive in making their stuffs online.

Re: Legacy vs segwit

What kind of address is more secure to store bitcoin legacy or segwit Every wallet supports different address types. What kind of address is more secure to store bitcoin legacy or segwit? I think some exchanges follow different address formats
None of them are better or worse with regards to its security. Typr of Bitcoin doesn't affects its security but rather its structure. The only difference with them is that the transaction fee with segwit is cheaper than the legacy. Most of secured wallets such as Ledger are now using segwit address instead of legacy which obviously because it's cheaper thus it's a great choice to be considered.

Re: The World’s Most Crypto-friendly Countries

Here is the list of some countries where cryptocurrencies have acceptance and top of them is Japan is known to have some of the most progressive cryptocurrency regulations in the world.
Switzerland a canton in Switzerland, became known as “Crypto Valley” after it passed several progressive laws regulating crypto use and related businesses. Singapore, Hongkong, Malta and Luxembourg are also one of the most cryptofriendly countries...

Even there are already a lot of countries that are crypto-friendly, i assumed that not all of them uses and earn money from crypto because there are still people in those countries who thinks that bitcoin and cryptocurrency is a scam or fraud, that is why we still need to comvince them from using bitcoin.
Honeslty, here in my country which is the Philippines, we are very freely to use and earn from bitcoin and cryptocurrency that we also have our own crypto wallet that we can able to pay bills and buy prepaid loads from it, but just like what i have said not all of us here in the Philippines like using crypto.

Re: How Blind Person Access Bitcoin?

I read the article, how a person of disabilities especially blind person can access Bitcoin. https://coolblindtech.com/developer-making-the-first-bitcoin-wallet-for-the-blind/. Are there any wallets like electrum, ledger or Bitcoin core can access by blind people?. And I am searched about Bitcoin Bitcoin Whitepaper in Braille project, but still not continue or I am missing something?, let's me know, I want to help my friend.

There are already a lot of new technology that are very helpful for people with disabilities, especially for blind people, that is why being blind or having disabilities are not hindrances from accessing and buying bitcoin.
Good to know that there are now bitcoin wallet for blind people, so i think it will be helpful for them to adopt and invest their money in bitcoin.

Re: You think that governments might adopt cryptocurrencies to replace fiat currency
by

on 28/01/2020, 16:02:13 UTC
No it's not going to happen since government hate the decentralized ability in many coins in crypto space today, it's one of the main reasons Central Banks are building their very own digital currencies but i bet people love making money which is why crypto coins will be more favourable over all
I don't think government hate cryptocurrency because there are already a lot of countries who accepts crypto like US, UK, japan, Australia, etc. The only reason why the government will not adopt cryptocurrency to replace fiat is they will support fiat currency no matter what because even it is not profitable, it is the material thing that we use in exchange for goods and services.

Re: Is Bitcoin Cash A Better Crypto To Invest?
by
Colt81
on 28/01/2020, 12:46:27 UTC
I also think bitcoin cash is included in a potential coin group. if we look at the rise in bitcoin yesterday it also made bitcoin cash increase. and I see the increase in bitcoin cash is higher than ethereum at the moment the price of bitcoin cash is $ 363 while ethereum is still at a price of $ 171. I think holding bitcoin cash is more profitable than ethereum.
The reason why bitcoin cash is more profitable than ethereum because it has numerous development in five years and a lot of people have trusted BCH that they also consider it just like bitcoin, that is why BCH is the best for long term investment. Unlike Ethereum, we are still waiting for it's new development for ETH 2.0.

Re: Running an online Bitcoin gambling website
by

on 27/01/2020, 16:10:52 UTC
I have a few questions regarding running a Bitcoin gambling website online.

I am located in Canada. So I'm not sure if it's legal for me run a site like this online from within Canada.

If it is legal for me to host the site else where, where is it possible for me to host it and do I need to get it licensed or it's okay to operate without a license since it's crypto.
Getting a license for creating a online gambling site is the first thing that you need to guarantee if your gambling site is legal or legitimate. You also need to know if online gambling sites are allowed in Canada for you to avoid violating the law, but if it is illegal it will be difficult for you to run a bitcoin gambling site.

Re: What are the ways i can cash out Bitcoin in another country?

I heard that you can send your bitcoin in your paypal account to convert it into fiat and for you to cash out in other countries. But in our country which is the Philippines, we have a online crypto wallet named coins.ph that you can cash out your bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies like BCH, XRP, and ETH in your bank account and remittance center that are available at your place.

Re: Using Crypto at Gas Stations
by
Colt81
on 27/01/2020, 15:00:08 UTC
It's 2020, yet crypto and Blockchain technology are still in their infancy. The introduction of smart contracts (via the Ethereum blockchain) to the mainstream world, has opened up a plethora of possibilities that were never imagined. Many companies have launched their own tokens via ICOs, IEOs, and even STOs. On the hand, stablecoins have been the hottest trend within the crypto space as they provide the convenience of Fiat with the security of the Blockchain.

Now, imagine if a mainstream company creates a Blockchain token that could be used at Gas Stations worldwide? This would definitely increase adoption of crypto and Blockchain tech within the mainstream world like never before. After all, paying for gas is a necessity these days for transportation. This, coupled up with self-serve, could be quite revolutionary. I'd imagine people driving to a gas station and paying with crypto from their phone in their own car to get their gas tank filled automatically. This hasn't been implemented yet, but it would be cool to see it happen someday.

What are your thoughts? Huh
Gas stations in other countries already have self service using a physical money to fill up your gas tank automatically, but it will be more convenient if we use our mobile phones and cryptocurrency as payment method in filling up our gas tanks because we don't need to ask for a money change in paying at the gas station and it will help to increase crypto adaptation.

Re: Where to open an online Bitcoin Casino
by

on 27/01/2020, 13:11:48 UTC
I am looking to open a new bitcoin casino.

I want to start off by opening an online bitcoin casino WITHOUT a license. I want to know what countries allow for this LEGALLY.

I plan to get a license in the future if my website gets some decent traffic.
Planning to open an online bitcoin casino is really a great idea as long you have the enough funds to create one. I also think it is impossible for you to create a online casino if you don't have any license because no one would play on your site if you can't guarantee that your site is legal or legitimate.

Re: Corona Virus will Impact the price of Bitcoin ?
by

The corona virus has been attacked in many countries. Many People have died and many more people have been attacked this virus. so do you think situation with corona virus will impact the price of Bitcoin.
I don't think that the corona virus has a huge impact on the crypto market or the price of bitcoin because it won't have an effect when it comes to bitcoin adaptation. This kind of epidemia will only have an effect on the global economy when it comes to production of drugs, and death of many people.

by

Coins that probably will die soon are the ones that have no value at all, especially for those coins that exist for a long time but didn't improve it's price in the market. That is why the only coins that will probably exist in the future is bitcoin and the top 100 altcoins in the market because they are the only coins that has a development and better price.

January 2019 we have more bounties at that time but this year January seem to be different, very few bounty projects shows up, I'm not saying scam projects aren't around but this forum seem relieved from many junky projects like that of 2019, maybe scammers are tired of not getting answers in return? Maybe people are now smarter and scammers are starving? I so wish so 🙏 lol what about you?
In my own opinion, maybe the reason why bounties started to become few nowadays because scammers are getting tired from it or no one would like to create new projects. They also knew that there are only few investors nowadays, that is why new projects nowadays don't have any good value in their exchange.

Re: Chinese Crypto Vs Corona Virus
by
Colt81
on 25/01/2020, 16:50:08 UTC
Recently, there is a lot of talk about it all over the world about the corona virus originating from China, and even Japanese tourists who enter China to enter the country for fear of being hit by an outbreak of tourists.
But I don't think this will affect the price of crypto even though this news comes from China so I don't think there will be a big impact on the crypto market.
This outbreak is really affecting a lot of people in Asia and there could a possibility that it could affect the market if the virus is spreading across all over Asia and some people who are investor may used and dump their BTC which is really bad in market.

And i think the impact of this crisis will not be big and recovery will be soon.
The corona virus is really affecting a lot of people in Asia that some people is starting to panic about it. But i don't really think that this epidemic will have a huge impact on the cryto market because it will not help to adopt cryptocurrency all over the world and it will not make people sell their crypto.

Maybe this will only have an impact on the global economy, open to the crypto market, maybe it's only a part of it and it's unlikely that it will be severe.
Viruses like Corona are the government that will deal with them because this is a big problem and almost in Asia affected by the Corona outbreak.
The epidemic of corona virus will only have an impact on the global economy when it comes to treatment cost, productivity of drugs and mortality. But it won't have any impact to the crypto market because this kind of situation won't really help to increase or decrease bitcoin adaptation.

Re: What are the most popular cryptocurrencies for investors?

on 25/01/2020, 16:08:25 UTC
Hi Everyone!

I was recently asked the question "what are the most popular cryptocurrencies for investors?" This led me to take some time to investigate what assets were the most popular on our portfolio management application. After evaluating tens of thousands of portfolios, we published this brief study.

The Cryptocurrencies People are Actually Holding

I'd love for you to give it a read and let me know if you were surprised by any of the assets that were popular.

I can't wait to discuss!
The most popular cryptocurrency for investors is obviously bitcoin because it is the best cryptocurrency in the market. Bitcoin is also the best when it comes to long term investment that makes a lot of investors put most of their funds here in bitcoin. Bitcoin is also famous in every social media sites like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and so on.

Re: Who bought Bitcoin in late 2017? Still recovering or fully recovered?
by

on 25/01/2020, 15:16:21 UTC

Well i am in the same boat.

Just out of curiosity, is there any still recovering from the deadly bitcoin price in late 2017?

or fully recovered and seeing profit? or Sold away at that moment or later?

Sad to say, i still haven't recovered the 20% of my profit that was loss in the late year of 2017 since bitcoin started to go down from 20k USD, that is why i am still hoping that the price of bitcoin will reach it's price to 20k USD again for me to fully recovered all of my losses. Good thing that halving might happen in the mid year of 2020.

Re: Would a crisis in general would affect crypto adaptation ?
by
Colt81
on 25/01/2020, 14:38:21 UTC

https://www.coinspeaker.com/coronavirus-gold-bitcoin-prices/amp/

Re: Which Crypto Should I Invest In 2020 ?
by
Colt81
on 25/01/2020, 13:43:44 UTC
I Am Really More Interested In Buying XLM , TRX AND ETH This Year Because I See More Potential On Dapps . So the increase in rate of this crypto is really easy. But As All Know anything can happen In Crypto. So I Was thinking to share this so that i get better opinion on this topic and please do comment where should i invest and Why?
In my own opinion, my first choice that i would invest my money with in this year of 2020 because everybody is waiting and expecting for bitcoin halving will happen in the mid year, so that it could gain back it's price to $20,000. My second choice will be ETH because it also has a potential to increased it's price the same as bitcoin.
