From the official announcement:

Quote
We unfortunately have to share some disappointing news with you all, Earlier today EtherCrashes cold wallet was compromised and 2 large withdrawals were processed. 6,330 Ether was initially transferred out followed by a subsequent 48 Ether.

Both of these transfers where transferred to 0x11CF6c527C22F99c51Fab46459924AAFD96e21F9 where 5 x 100 Ether was sent to tornado.cash and 5800 Ether was transferred into DAI using uniswap (2,304,066 DAI) and have been transferred 0xB1d82216124e79661FD4EfE0E2FCba97C85C6342

We have changed our sweeping address to 0x0DB109F64f1A73F209b6126F2449C2CB5082E8C3

Perch and I are both devastated with what has happened and would like to ask the community for help in trying to get makerdao recover these funds for us.

Our initial plan on repaying the investors of ethercrash is to not take any commission and have these funds pay back the investors directly. However this may take some time.

We are more than open to any ideas on how we can make things right.

Where did you get that?
Same questions too where there should be some source or link that do shows that announcement to show off some credibility. It hasnt been mentioned on this thread so lets take this not on final.

You cant see it from their social media platforms about such incident.
https://twitter.com/ethercrashio
https://www.facebook.com/pg/EtherCrashio-107050140655010/posts/

So it isnt a final thing to conclude on.

It's been mentioned in their Discord

If he were honest IMO and he didn't understand why his developers did the PF algorithm this way, it would've been best to shut the site down til the new system is up regardless and make a transparency ann.

What are your most common superstitions?
by
Compr
on 21/10/2019, 03:35:25 UTC
Let me preface this by stating the following
When betting on Bustabit for example, I know :
  • It's 100% provably fair and can't be manipulated
  • Each round is independent of the adjacent ones, no previous results dictate the next
  • There's no math to keep the 1.975x average in place, if it's 10 games under 1.5x in a row, this doesn't change the likely-hood of the next being over 2x

That being said, I think it's fun to humor myself and entertaining to play into superstitions.
i.e if it's 10 red in a row, I'm usually more likely to increase my bets as the gamblers fallacy plays out, although I'm completely aware of the math behind it.

I think superstitions are fun to have and entertaining to laugh about, it makes it more interesting.
Some gamblers treat them in a serious way, however I think that's the wrong approach to superstition when gambling overall.

What are common things you're superstitious about when gambling?

Re: Signature Campaigns causing lifeless posts in Gambling section

These lifeless posts happen everywhere. It’s a mixture of the poor control of the English language that these people have - likely due to how far signature campaign payments can go in third world countries - and, of course, the fact that they are forcing themselves to post in order to meet requirements.

It’s pretty common. Say for instance the topic is {technology_name} and a recent occurrence to do with it, these people will generally latch onto the name and say things like “{tech_name} is very interesting, it could be very good for bitcoin, I will be watching {tech_name} with interest”.

I normally report the posts which aren’t fully on-topic.

Yep. ^
Great way to illustrate what I mean, it's technically "on topic" but contributes 0 and makes no sense to actual english speakers or someone actually looking to converse over the topic.
Still useless posts of no value clearly intended to just force a low effort post out.

About what you have quoted op, I also didn't quite get it since you only quote what that user just posted but as what I observed the thread that this user posted is in a thread of wolf.bet and streak bonus. Do you think that this account is bought from someone else?. This user also did not complete what he/she us trying to point out.

The thread itself is just wolf.bet's announcement thread of their site.
I can't make the assumption to say the account was bought and is being used to farm for sig campaigns, however it definitely should be considered violation of any signature campaigns that user is in.
This is just one example and took about 30 seconds to find, I see this all the time now.

You got it in the wrong section. I suggest you to move it to the meta or reputation board. I think meta is the right place if I am not wrong.
It really seems the users lost his mind LOL

Thanks, I'll request it to be moved.
I agree though, this is mainly to serve as a warning to campaign managers that a lot of users are doing this now.
I think campaign managers get overwhelmed with the amount of different posts they go through sometimes, and something like this is easy to overlook thinking they did a good job and followed the requirements.

Seems the only thing he can cling onto is the google search result showing bustadice claims provable fairness for investors.
You didn't claim anywhere it's provably fair for investors, and this thread stands to prove that as it'd be quite contradictory if it comes up you do
BayAreaCoins arguments are completely irrelevant as
  • You don't own Bustadice
  • Daniel could claim that but it's on him, not you
  • This should be pertaining to bustabit only, which also you don't have involvement with

Signature Campaigns causing lifeless posts in Gambling section

I've recently noticed a lot of people posting in the gambling section who are participating in signature campaigns,
that post lifeless stuff which makes no sense and basically just taking words from the topic / thread in random order.

They'll restate whatever the original poster said in their post, give some generic response that's barely coherent, and post.

EXAMPLE :

Quote
What I saw from the image is winners and top waterers used more Bitcoin to water over rounds of Wolf.bet's wager contest. It is easily to explain if we look at the growth pace of Wolf.bet site during 2 recent months. Fastly grown recent months, that actually attract more new users and more waterers, that in turn triggered ea h has to use more money to wager to be competitive.

What the fuck does this mean?
I hope the campaign managers disqualify people like this who try to jumble random words together while putting 0 thought into actual content
It ends up causing half the gambling section to not make any sense or posts to have any conversational value.

This isn't an attack towards the campaign managers btw, it's directed towards certain participants themselves who half-ass their posts to cheat the signature campaign terms

Absolute scam! Shit like this shouldn't be allowed here, flagging this thread.

Bustabit rounds are COMPLETELY independent one of another.
Meaning its logically and just completely impossible to predict the next round based on any factor.
Seriously, you could try to analyze all you want regarding previous games, "red trains" etc.
Your EV with Bustabit is roughly -1%
Meaning no matter what you do you're guaranteed to lose -1% your wager over X number of games.
To put in simpler terms, this is a fucking scam.

What is the benefit of buying a Bustabit account with the price BTC1 ? Anyone can create an account there for free afaik.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not a sales trasher. Asking to gain some knowledge about the specialty about the account.

I can only see KLITZ at top of leaderboard except this I can't see anything...
Does Bustabit provide any benefit to top of leaderboard users? I quitted Bustabit more than a year ago.

TIA

Depends the value you find in it
