Eos - price dump on mainnet
by

Hi,

Currently researching into EOS and have a question on the starting circulating supply.

On the faq of the Eos website it effectively states the erc20 Eos tokens are worthless and that the money generated from the ico is purely revenue for the company.

When mainnet launches you will be able to trade your erc20 token for a offical token.

However, how many offical tokens will there be? There will be 1 billions generated from erc20 token exchange. Will there be further tokens that the company creates for themselves? It make sense they will want to hold a large portion for themselves. On the white paper and website I can't find what the start circulating supply will be.

Could there be a 1000% inflation on mainnet start? With Eos creating a load of tokens for themselves?

Without this information how can the Eos erc20 currently be priced they way it is now? 1 Eos could be worth a fraction of what is after mainnet.

Also, I the faq states there will be a 5% inflation rate of tokens per year.

Thanks

There will likely be a another dip for Alts just before the fork of BTC.

There will then be a pump straight after the fork.

The reason for the last pump was due to the Artemine ico.

It will never get to 100 or anywhere close.

Thanks for all the answers. I was really hoping just to hold for a day or two as I thought we would see $32-$35 again.
Hoping not to wait weeks/months, but I will stay hodling for now.

You may need to wait a few weeks/months to see 30+ again.
There is a lot of uncertainty with what is going on with what legislation the Chinese government will put in place.

If bad news comes, the price could drop a lot.
If good news comes, the price will likely pump to 45+.

This time next year I expect this coin to be 100+.

I would hold as opposed to try and guess what is going to happen in the short term.

There is active development in both London and the US.
They are performing a POC in Ghana.
They have hired a lot of talent.
They have a lot of financial backing.

Sadly, their use of social media  seems to be quite poor. They don't provide good updates and the story of them buying Twitter followers has put people off.

Hold this coin, the fud has kept the price down. Good news will come.

I think it will touch 20 in the next few days with the main net release.

May pump a little more before dropping down to what it is at now.

Omg is a nice idea and that is all it is currently.
There is is no working product.

It is way too over hyped and priced at the moment. If the product was working it could merit this price.

Are you guys able to join the qtum slack channel at: https://qtumslack.herokuapp.com/

I keep getting Failed! token_revoked no matter what email I put in.

I want to join their slack channel so I can be updated on the latest news related to qtum.  The recent ICO ban in China is scary and I am concerned.

Also is it safe to keep qtum on https://bizhongchou.com?  I figure since the mainnet will release soon, then no point getting the tokens out since I will have to exchange then again for the real qtum coins once released.

thoughts anyone?  What do you guys think is the best and safest place to store qtum currently?

thx

You can currently store Qtum on ether Wallets like MEW.

However, mainnet is coming soon, you would be very unlucky to lose your tokens between now and then if you have them on a exchange.

As you are only investing such a small amount you might be better of investing in less coins.

You will be hit by exchange and transfer fees leaving you with not very much.

If the government backs cypto and puts in controls that support investors it could be a good thing.

It is currently the wild west with all these new icos popping drawing millions in investment

Eitherway, the uncertainty will cause a lot of volatility. Which is good if you are yet to invest!

Considering Litecoin, NEO, Ethereum and BCH.

Please share your views.

Ethereum for me

NEO seems abit pumpish previously for me
BCH is kinda stuck
Litecoin could grow steadily i suppose

But i would suggest something else, Waves

Take a look, you would not regret investing at mark of $4, but try to get within $1-3, i can assure you within 3 year time, it could hit $20

If you think waves will only be at 20 in 3 years time it is not worth the risk.

Better off holding BTC which is more likely to stand the test of time.

It has such a bad name... It is what put me off buying ants.
After the rebrand it boomed.

This has a lot of potential. Just needs some good marketing!

Haha you choose projects on their name? How normal a word is Etherum...or Google...NEO is a name from the Matrix. Lol

ANTSHARES was a bad name cause it made you think it was something to do with stock market on the internet. In the end names dont matter and the tech is all that matters. Top 20.coins are there cause they are innovative and useful not cause of marketing and names.lol

You have to admit XtraBytes is probably the worst named coin in the top 200!  I don't think neo would be at the market cap it is at now without the rebrand and marketing.

Anyway, I am advising to ignore the name as it would put a lot of people off.

And yes, I did not bother reading up on it until recently as it sounded like a crappy coin.
