What was it?Huh Cant understand at all
blockchain.com  shows that my wallet  1kUijzuCyYSFHcewjhVuS5S6q9fm3yfqo  became empty, but i've sent 7.28524146  to my another wallet 1FHioPysJqRW48ACKFhmkxoCoBdW7zMFYn  and i have it

That is an exchange address, Electrum uses this to keep bitcoins more private.

Open Eelctrum, View, Show Adresses

Click it... do you see that address there? (marked in yellow)

blockchain rules are not 1 block every 10 minutes

its 2016 blocks every 2 weeks. coded
which only in the human brain but not in code calculates to AVERAGE 1 block ~10min

this means there are times a block can arrive in 2 minutes and another block can arrive in 18 minutes and on average thats 2 blocks in 20minutes thus still being ~10mins each

in the last 24 hours ~144 blocks should have been produced.
24 hours ago block 552871 was made
at time of posting 552994
123 block mined
=5.125 blocks an hour = less than 12minute average

if you check th other blocks before 552994(current block at time of this post)
552994    51 minutes ago
552993    1 hour 2 minutes ago (11 minutes before ..994)
552992    1 hour 6 minutes ago (4 minutes before ..993)
552991    1 hour 16 minutes ago (10 minutes before ..992)

so ask yourself before panicing.. why were you not screaming celebrations of the 4minute block?

infact lets look at a few more blocks. knowing 6 blocks are average an hour... yet an hour before ..94
552994 2018-12-08 06:50:47
552984 2018-12-08 05:50:52

means 10 blocks were made in an hour. thus the previous hour before ..94 blocks were being made in ~ 6 minutes

So yeah, it's kinda normal.
I have a 20 sat/b transaction also waiting to be confirmed. Just wait it out, when the blocks are found faster, the fees will drop and it will get confirmed.

There is a new block now, your tx was not included. I guess it will be in the next one though.

I told you, it doesn't seem to be normal.
Could there be any technical fault with this?
Have you experienced something like this before?
Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.

I have exprienced this before, same problem and same reason: only 2 - 3 blocks / hour mined so confirmations are slow. Nothing you can do about it and nothing wrong, it just happens sometimes.

Look at the last mined blocks:

Quote
23 minutes - 2706 - Bitcoin.com
1 hour - 2887 - BTC.com

It's just slow... that's all.

The last mined block was at 8:38 and your transaction was at 8:44....

So its normal. No blocks mined for over an hour, it happens sometimes. Nothing wrong with your transaction.

Last mined block: https://www.blockchain.com/nl/btc/block/0000000000000000001c08a03f45739692fa9e32e4b3684b7d8d97a405e7f23d

Your transaction: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/40a076cced744360d130652ab146ab85d45028315657dea8c5c76b8593db892d

Look at the time received.

So why viaBTC says "Transaction has been confirmed" ?

No idea... could be because unconfirmed btc has been spend here: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/c27c106a1ac754380b6f28396a8a8347cf35bf207a4ab4cd4ae902ddad34aead

Re: Analyzing scam risks
by

Hope this helps a few people out not getting scammed. This is how i analyze scam risk:

1. Trust score

Quote
If the user has RED trust and/or open scam reports <-- Red Flag

Anyone can come up with valid scam accusation if he has valid proofs against the accused. Trust ratings/score shouldn't be a factor to consider whether a scam accusation is valid or not. I though get it that most of the negative users come up with baseless accusation and troll in the section but that doesn't means that every scam accusation coming out from a negative user should be neglected.

Its great that someone is coming forward to make people aware and advice what to do in such situations. Smiley

Trust score does give a general idea though and its up to the user to have some common sense and read what the ratings are for.

You are right though, this is not always a negative factor.

I am interested if you are willing to wait until Wed(20th Feb). I'd like to buy 280$'s but either you go first, or you take care of the escrow fees+ skrill transaction fees. I'd also like to know the source of uploading the funds on skrill and some ID proof that its your own account.Ive already been scammed once by a person sending funds from a stolen account.

I have no problem with ID verification for positive rated members. The source is payments for online work i have done, the funds have are from 3+ months ago.

I do not agree with the escrow fees.

I'll see if i can find another member, if not i might PM you.

Regards.

Coinmama security breach?

Anybody else got this email?

Quote
Dear customer,

Today, February 15, 2019, we learned of a breach of about 450,000 emails and hashed passwords. We are still investigating the incident, but have reason to believe your account may be affected, and want to take immediate steps to secure it:
Change your Coinmama password. As a precautionary measure, we've reset your password. Click the link to create a new password. We recommend a unique password with 8 characters or more, using both upper-case and lower-case letters and a mixture of number and symbols
If you were using the same email and password to access other products and services, change those passwords as well
Given the dated nature of the published data, we have no reason to suspect that any other Coinmama systems are compromised. Having said that, we take your privacy seriously, and are monitoring our systems for suspicious activity.

We are also working closely with leading cybersecurity firms to understand the scope of the incident, and enhancing our systems to detect and prevent unauthorized access to user information.

We understand the distress this information may cause, and are happy to answer your questions. We’ll also keep everyone posted with updates in this blog, and will be addressing commonly asked questions in our dedicated FAQ.

Seems to come from
