Re: Why do hackers steal huge amounts of bitcoins?
by
Cootie
on 17/10/2020, 09:25:20 UTC
The answer is obvious, they need large amount of money. In order to get that, they resulted to stealing bitcoin. Bitcoin is insanely high value, and can provide anonymous transactions history, which provide them added convenience. Even though nowadays there are methods to track bitcoin transactions, this lessen their efforts to become more covert.

Re: Is bitcoin truly moving forward?

Sometimes I do notice that bitcoin experience some issues while increasing in value, Bitcoin have increased to $15,000 $20,00. Now we find bitcoin going low, Now I want us to understand no matter how dollar fall it can be as bitcoin, What is the solution of getting this solved?,if bitcoin is Depreciating in value let it not be much, because the falling of bitcoin really scare people away. Would you be happy if you purchase bitcoin worth $15,000 and in the next few months bitcoin is $5,000, would you be happy?. Let look into this and stop deceiving ourselves buy saying we are Investors, Gold investors don’t experience this at all, if bitcoin we go forward then we most know our stand.
Wayback in 2018,  we are hoping that it would reach 1k dollars, that time it would be it's all time high. And look at now, it reached 10k and not even dropping at that value. Take a look at the difference. From 1k to 10k now, isn"t that considered "moving forward"? Having that value means something good has happened despite the downs it experienced before. You see, I just got back here. When I stopped the price was around 5k. And now It is playing at 10k. Look at that. It doubled its pride from that time. I know it not all about the price, but having that rate is a good thing for me.

Re: Best Solution for taxes
by
Cootie
on 16/10/2020, 02:46:51 UTC
Is to take taxes of each transactions automaticly some small  %

Its beneficial idea and smart and sustainable way.
And blockchain Technology can be helpful to make it this!

There is no need for tax office to take your tax declarations!!
As we all use internet bank so Every transaction we do the small% goes to government Automaticly.

And government will be on blockchain and Everybody will see the balance where the money goes and so.

Transparent Easy and sustainable

Think about how many transactions people do online each day?  If Even little% to be taken... The government will be Strong because more money Exchanges more transactions means more Economic actvity and more Economic actvity the more government will get taxes.
That's actually a good idea. But it would take time for developing country to adopt to these kinds of technology. Some countries just have enough resources yet to be able to implement this. And also, even after this, you can't still be sure if these taxes will be going to good use. As long as the management is greedy and corrupt, this initiative is still futile. We must focused first on the management of the before the tax implementation itself.

Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin?
by
Cootie
on 15/10/2020, 03:06:11 UTC
I do notice that some people naturally don’t allow bitcoin in any of their daily transactions even when it faster and easier, they still don’t prefer using it, I have noticed this a lot, Some classes of human,Sometimes when they are to receive money from another country like international transfer sometimes it takes 2 3 days to arrive,They will advise them to use bitcoin and they still don’t accept it even it faster and easier. Now how come we make bitcoin come to people.
I think because they're lacking knowledge about bitcoin. They're avoiding it because they're "scared of the unknown". Maybe if they take some time to learn and internalize things about bitcoin, maybe they're really interested, but just don't have enough information. Others may be scared of change. Thinking this would be a complex process, which is, still a result of lack of information. It means, they'll have to be supplied with sufficient information from anybody who has sufficient ideas to share. In return, they have to absorb it, to he able to fully understand how this thing works.

Thanks for the advice Ms/Mr., I will be more active here.  But I do hope I get approved anyways.

Hello guys! I just read an article that says addresses start with 3 don't have signed message functionality. Can anybody help me with this? Thanks

No, that's an article's mistake or you misread it. You can sign messages on each kind of address. Whether it's a P2PKH, also known as legacy,  (1...) or a P2SH (3...) or a Bech32 (bc1...).

Have you tried electrum? It's an open source wallet that can do literally anything compared to some other wallets, such as the online ones. It can sign and verify messages.
Oh I see. I haven't tried using it. I do prefer using the coins ph app before it is easier and I more applicaple app to use in our country

From where you have read that there has no functionality to sign message by the address which starts with 3 or something else. As further as I know you can sign a message from any address if you have private key of the address.
Is that so? Maybe its the app that doesn't support the signed message functionality. I created my bitcoin wallet using Coins Ph app. Are you familiar with that? I tried searching there are no sign message stuff there.

Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away
by
Cootie
on 15/10/2020, 01:24:45 UTC
Just recently we are beginning to have some Twitter campaign giving hunters reward in btc in the service section. This is one sure way to take off this muster that seem like a cancer called bounty scam.

I'm believing that gradually, will may start seeing the inclusion of other social media signatures like Facebook, LinkedIn, medium, article, videos, blogs and many more, coming up in  both bounty section and service. I'm sure that hunters will prefer social media signature than the scam going on in the board.

I guess one reason that we are seeing that Twitter campaign is because of the audit which takes care of non real followers of an account. So if your Twitter account isn't made of real followers, you stand no chance of being selected. The audit is surely to check out accounts with fake followers and that is also good to stop scamming.
In my opinion, I doubt it will be gone soon. People potential be wronged and even though at the start they are very diligent and organized in managing an ICO which supposed to be legitimate, one wrong miscalculation and it can turn to a scam right away. Legitimacy of an ICO project depends on the continuous use of the tokens supported by the project. It is also needed to be listed to some exchanges to have some value and be traded into circulation If these parts was being miscalculated, in the future if it has no user anymore, it ls price will go low, reducing its value and eventually deleted in the exchange it was listed

Re: Which is better, staking or investing?
by
Cootie
on 14/10/2020, 16:12:37 UTC
The open blockchain platform Harmony has announced that it will start supporting staking from now, in an effort to create a blockchain-based infrastructure.
source: https://www.harmony.one/
Of course, as I know, there are many exchanges that support staking.
I want to fully understand what is staking and what are the best coins and platforms that we can do staking and give good profits?

My most important question: Which is better, staking or investing?
Maybe you are confused. Staking is just a type of investing. Investing is general term for getting profits. And staking is one type of it when it comes to cryptocurrency. As for me, I am good with low risks type of investment. I can get lower profits but there are lesser chances of losing investment. I came up to this because I'm not that good with cryptos, I'm not monitoring it every single time and I am still learning strategies to be able to adopt with high risks strategies. You may consider that factor in choosing what type of crypto investment you are going into. But first try to learn the different types of strategies used in crypto investments.

Bitcoin is generally a coin that is good for our daily and future transactions, but I do notice that some class of people fine it difficult to go into trading and buying of bitcoin, I really don’t understand the problems. How it the advice to them, And what do we think we should do to make some people understand bitcoin more better. Some mediocre do hear of bitcoin and see some advertising online, but they are still afraid, I really want everyone including mediocre to comfortable with bitcoin and make use of it in their daily transactions, Every single human makes use of money, I want every one to make use of bitcoin such as they do with money. I hope this is understandable to us.
Explain what you know and let them do their part. If they're really interested it, then they'll finds ways to familiriaze with bitcoin. You've done giving your part, giving them idea/s, now it's up to them if they're gonna dig deeper and learn more things about bitcoins, or even other cryptocurrency. Their interests is their trigger for learning stuffs about it. Even though how much you explain and even convince them, if they're not into then they will really understand it.

Cheating or NOT Cheating?

Coming from altcoinstalk forum I've experience few projects going against their own rules like saying on promotion page that no KYC will be required and after promotion ends they tell promoters to go and open account on an exchange and pass KYC, what can this be called? Cheating? Any consequences for such projects on this forum? Thank you.

Make sure you read all the rules of the project. Most of the time they include rules saying they can change the rules of project. Maybe they to adjust something to improve the project or there is really a need for it to be done. So you have to follow it. Besides, it is stated on the rules though it seems to be conflicting, but what important is they will compensate you after your work and compliance to them.

Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income

btc is not good to pay our bills.,

we need new way of passive income goverments should start giving out universal income Smiley there is need for passive income

who will vote for that?=
That's quite convenient. However, gotta work for it. If you want passive income then find ways. Build business, gain capital, invest etc. But it's not gonna be that straightforward. It may seem simple but those things needed to be attended wisely. It may need to be delved deeper to specific area and establish your foundation. You need to have a lot of knowledge to excel and become a successful one.

Re: 12 years and no country has approved Bitcoin ??
by

I think one reason why governments weren't be able to accept bitcoin is because it can disrupt the flow of economy inside a country. Imagine having something that you can't control. What would happen? It could cause a drastic, which is good if thing goes smooth. But otherwise, it could cause chaos like the typhoon does to everything in its path. Like the typhoon, you can't control its strength, range, direction, speed etc. Similar to bitcoin, you can't control it's price, it go down or up to the extremes, which is, a significant factor to consider once it is in the economy of a country. And once it happens, bitcoin will forever be changed.

Nothing to worry about what? About the temperature reaching its upper limit? How about its effect in nature? I don't think its gonna be that easy. Yes, the earth has a way to compensate for it and that might get extreme for humans. You see we are experiencing lots of abnormal phenomenon and global warming might be a part of it. It's not nothing to worry about. It kills people, it damages property. It's must not be taken for granted just because some scientists or reports says it reach its peak.
