Very cool.  Do any of those allow me to send XCP without running a full bitcoin node?

Some like XCP Wallet (extension) for Chrome work entirely out of the browser.

Hi,

1. I got this while trying to submit Contact Form on blockscan.com:

500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

I retried - same issue.

2. About a week ago I had a problem with password recovery on blockscan.com. I think submitted feedback about that as well, but I'll try again. IIRC there's a problem with password reset whereby the site asks for one's email address but doesn't accept it with a message that the username should be provided instead, or something like that.

@mtbitcoin, on home page the exchange rate of XCP is based on the last BTC Sell (for XCP) trade executed on the DEx, which was few days back.
Maybe you should the rate from Coinmarketcap or weighted average from main exchanges?

So, not to get too off-topic in your thread but, doesn't Counterwallet take care of the required/provided fee situation i.e are people tweaking things without knowing the impact or... are they trying to minimize fees and the wallet can't handle all of those cases?

I think most people aren't tweaking things because they don't know what they mean (but it could be checked of course, by looking at BTC Sell orders, especially expired).

Matches aren't handled in the wallet but below in counterpartyd (which is why counterpartyd can still use BTC Sell although it was recently removed from Counterwallet).

Can you add the field "match_expire_index" from https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterpartyd/blob/master/lib/blocks.py#L318 to table on http://www.blockscan.com/order_match.aspx?

Because it's not easy to figure out when one's order was matched.

the price of doge has actually gone down since I bought some to burn... guess there just isn't that much interest. but anyway its been fun creating assets for a few cents a pop. their token limit goes up to 10 billion in case you are wondering. heh.
You mean there can be a max of 10 billion of any token including XDP in Dogeparty? What is that limit in Counterparty?

The orignial address I sent the the coins to is not shown in my account, a different address is showing.

Look up what "deterministic wallet" means.
You used a wrong pass phrase.

Anyone explain how exactly the faucet works? Don't I need a separate XCP address instead of my current one in my profile?

You mean the testnet faucet?
I don't know what you mean by "your current one in your profile" (what profile?).
You need to use the testnet Counterwallet where you create a new wallet with "fake" XCP's that you get from the faucet.

It is broken.  I also have sell orders at those prices.  The part that sucks is I have never received compensation for fees due to their errors, which I accept, and they still insist on charging fees while the system is going through debugging which I don't.  At least give us an explanation of why this problem is so hard to debug and what is going on.

Who are "they" who are charging you those fees?

Wow seriously? Is it even safe to attempt to use this? I had some orders partially matched and haven't received the BTC. Are people getting paid my XCP with no guarantee that I receive the BTC?

The problem is compounded by the fact that I can't cancel orders - my XCP don't get refunded.

Nothing is compounded and it's not a "fact". Your XCP haven't been paid to anyone, so of course they can't be refunded.
Pending a payment, tokens are held in escrow and only if payment from both sides can be executed the protocoll executes a transaction.
Otherwise as PhantonPhreak said if the other side doesn't send the money your order expires.

If you looked at your order status (inside of CW) or at Blockscan.com you could have seen this yourself.

So i have to wait 20 blocks to let the buyer pay the btcs? why the exchange allow people to put buy orders without bitcoin? i dont understand, very bad exchange it needs improvement, orders should be executed instantly or in this case waiting maximum 1 confirmation in the blockchain..

The devs are working to make it better and if anyone can offer realistic examples of improvements that can be implemented, let them know here or on Github.
Traditional exchanges are one of faster options for centralized XCP/BTC trading: https://www.counterparty.co/xcp/ has a list.
