Re: What is happening with our world and humanity
by

Yes, unfortunately, I guess it's human nature. Since the stone age, and even before who knows, nature designed us to live inside our own groups, to protect and feed each other, but to fight and to compete with other human groups. Greed is what moves humans as a survivor instinct: something useful some 10,000/5,000/500 years ago, and kept to this day in our most inner self, even though it is not at all useful any longer, as we have enough technology to provide the necessary for worldwide benefits (we just need to learn how to share).... maybe in another 500/5,000/10,000 years, if we're still here, greed will be left behind and share will prevail Smiley

Re: Religion shitlist
by

Religions, just like everything that's human, have got good and bad things (except true love, because true love is always good - true love is not passion or possession). I personally don't like or follow any religion, and believe that "God" do not depend on any of these human inventions. (I also feel fine with Buddhism/Taoism)

Even if I take religion as hazardous they aren't equal on damage, for this reason I keep a shitlist based on their irrational doctrines:

#1 Islam
-violence
-convert or else
-gender discrimination
-homophobia
-violence towards animals
-slavery support

#2 Hinduism
-gore practices on some sects
-chast system and social inequality

#3 Judaism
-violence
-homophobia

#4 Catholicism
-violence
-convert or else
-gender inequality
-homophobia

#5 Christians (protestant)
Same as #4 but in a bit less extent.

#6 Xintoism
-chast system

Out of shitlist:
Buddhism
Taoism

It's so confusing all the different opinions on climate change. For me it seems that it's a natural process for the climate our planet. It's a very complicated system, with a huge amount of factors to influenciate. In reality man cannot understand all these factors. And when man cannot understand things they tend to create myths.

number 2 :

The parrot went to the henhouse in the evening, and f#ck3d all the chickens.

At the break of dawn the cock started crowing: "cock-a-doodle-doo", calling his hens. And so the chickens, making a line, went downstairs to be f#ck3d by that handsome strong bird (and of course he done it very well to them).

The line up went on, chicken by chicken, and in the end there was only the parrot remaining as well as a small cockerel. The cockerel looked at the parrot and said: "you first". The parrot answered: "oh, I'm so tired..." and pretended he was sleeping. But the cock continued there crowing and calling their victims for their imminent f#ck fate.

After some time, the cockerel was so hungry that he had to go out. On seeing the cock nearing the poor innocent animal the parrot cried in dispair: "PROTECT YOUR BACK DOOR!"

By the way...

Batman and Robin were coming back from a party.

Both drunk, but Batman was much worse. Batman was so drunk that he decided to ask Robin to drive the Batmobile back home.

Excited to have this first opportunity to drive such a nice car, Robin sits in front of the steering wheel, puts his hand on the gear stick, puts the first gear and takes off smooth.

He shifts to the second gear, increases speed, shifts to the third, and to the forth gear, and drives through a curve at more than 70mph.

The car skids, so he reduces driving speed, stepping on the brakes, but regains control, he shifts back to the third gear, and so they went.

As soon as they arrived at the Batcave, Robin parks the car so proudly. Then, batman asks:

— Robin, give me a kiss?

— Hey Batman! Are you crazy? Who do you think I am?

— Oh, c'mon, don't complicate things! You know quite well that the Batmobile has got automatic transmission!

Re: Are you interested in Bitcoin because of the concept or to get rich?
by
CripLib

I notice that most new users are here looking for ways to get rich off of Bitcoin. It's like Steve Jobs and his buddies created the personal computer, took all the risk and got the company running, started making big money and now people are buying the computer and sitting in front of it waiting for it to make them rich too.

Have you read the white paper?

https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

Do you understand the whole point of Bitcoin and what it does for the world? Or are you just hearing about early adopters making a lot of money and you want to buy some bitcoins now so you can sell it later for more money and go back to your fiat world a richer person (though poorer in the long run for living in a fiat economy)?

Bitcoin is HUGE. It brings a whole new paradigm that is changing the world.

I compare Bitcoin's invention to Gutenberg's press invention: both bringing power (knowledge or economics) back to the people.

Superman was flying over metropolis one day, horney as hell, and suddenly he saw wonder woman suntanning naked on top of a building, and he thought to himself "I'd love to get me some of that wonder P*ssy!"

Suddenly he realized, he's superman,  he can go do a little quick pumping and get out of there before she even realizes what happened. So superman swoops down, pumps as fast as he can and flies away.

Wonder woman jumps up and shouts "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT???" and the invisible man says "I don't know but my asshole is killing me!"

Re: Answer the question above with a question.

There is no topic, do you not understand that?
You mean, I could even ask whether the Eastern mistletoe of North America has sticky pulp inside its berries, like the European mistletoe?
You definitely could do that. The problem is do you think you would get an answer?
It would be very naive of me to expect that, wouldn't it?
But was that a real reason of your naiveness?
Hm... could it be that, sub-consciously, I was expecting an aswer to that question?
Is that why you asked that exact same question in a different thread?  Grin
What different thread?
You never heard of the totally off topic thread?
Does it mean our posts can have parallel lives in parallel threads, like parallel universes?
Or perhaps that thread has the answers to all the questions in this thread, in some order?
Are there answers to each and every questions that our vain philosophy would ever be able to dream of?
Do you demand correct answers, or would any answer do?

Do correct answers exist, or everything is but an illusion?
