Got some more blocks moved this weekend.  Released another 30k silkcoin that I can send to Weaver.

Well, I've left the wallets running way longer than I had originally planned.  I had to bring them down tonight to repurpose them.
Sorry, we gave it a good run.  I can always set them back up at a later time if needed.

Thanks for all your help.  When I get it all free, I'll be sure to send you a tip in DRKSLK.

I guess my wallet crashed or something.  Disappeared from the system tray this morning.  Back up now, maybe some blocks will move.

No movement since.  I really don't get how this is supposed to work.  Are there just not enough other people staking?  It's like the network forces staking rewards to take turns no matter what.

Presuming that this chain will not move again. How many of you still have Silkcoin in their wallets? Please contact me through pm..

edit: Wow it has moved a block!  Shocked

I have my 300k still staking, trying to get the chain to move but it's on my work computer, which I can't access from home.  Maybe that's what did it or maybe it was Bitcoinasaurus bringing his wallet back online, haha.

4 connections but still stuck at this after a week

we need to defreeze this block somehow
Any ideas guys?

My wallet, with mature coins, has been online and set to stake since this problem started so I'm not sure what is holding everything up.  It makes no sense.

until some one with mature coins stakes we're up shit creek! I closed my wallet until some blocks move. My coins won't mature until then, so it's basically a waste of energy until some one pops up.

I know one way that we may get an old wallet to pop back up on the scene, in fact quite a few may pop up. When I found by pure chance the "new Silk" thread I had no idea that it even existed as I was only checking on "Silkcoin" from "coinmarketcap" link here https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/silkcoin/ and it was locked on page 211 many moons ago and every time i kept looking every couple of weeks or so, I still thought it was dead and noting happening. This link is still showing on coinmarket cap right now and how many others are like me who have no idea as they are not bitcoin forum type of people so to speak.

The link to "Silkcoin old on coinmarketcap" needs to be updated to this new thread asap and we will have some stragglers stumble along for sure. I have a mate who I know has some very old mature coins from years back, but he would have to update his wallet and stuff, but he has a 100,000 odd.
i will contact him tonight.

Can someone change the link on coinmarketcap ?

I don't know who has the ability to do that.
Anyone know?

I just filled the request form on their website
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1IZf5cBivam_93zENT_arFFuvWDidHGjWxoTMVmFSoWg/viewform

Hi
A lot of investors that follow the Silkcoin don't know about the new ANN,
and the change to Silk(SLK) and they think the coin is dead because the links on your website are dead
If you can modify these
ANN: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1601099
explorer: https://silkexplorer.silknetwork.org/
site: https://silknetwork.org/
it would help a lot of people
Thanks

maybe that helps

Nicely done.  If it brings a few wallets online, that would be sweet.

Can you do me a favor and see if 45.76.0.136 is showing for inbound?  One thing I missed when letting it create the new wallet was encrypting the wallet and then unlocking it for staking.
I just did that so, aside from having a new empty wallet, it is the same as it was before the clone.

None of my connections are showing inbound as true, including yours.  Odd.

What are the requirements to generate a new block?  I thought with PoS, the individual wallet who gets the staking award can generate the block?

I've 5 connections after I opened the other version of the wallet
71.65.219.38
71.184.130.147
45.76.0.136  MCDev
24.69.82.136 Pondi
125.238.166.220

But most important

getstakinginfo should give you this result if you want to stake

{
"enabled" : true,
"staking" : false,
"errors" : "",
.....
}

If it's false, like in your case Crypt0Keeper,
you need to edit your silkcoin.conf file and edit first lines or delete them
staking=0
stakegen=0
reservebalance=100000000

The conf file uploaded contained those lines to prevent the wallet from staking because there were wallets blocked on staking
and people couldn't move their coins out to weaver

Now we're trying to stake to make new blocks
Sorry about that, my bad

Those lines aren't actually in there.  It says I'm not staying because I have no mature coins, even though 320k are held in staking...

Anyone know why the Silkcoin network (old wallet, not new SLK wallet) stopped?  I have a lot of coins stuck staking and the network has been stopped since November 4th.

I need to get to the bottom of MintPal-Scam addresses first
and then send the team a plead to try activate staking on a wallet with mature coins
see what happens then

So what happened that it stopped?  I thought the network was supported by the staking wallets?  Is that not the case?

At this point I am officially worried that I won't be able to get my investment out.

I knew that addy was yours
it's in the white list  Grin
the chain is not active since 4th of November

What is the white list?  Non-MintPal-Scam people?

I'll have to try that trick with switching between the two wallets.  Any idea why the chain isn't active?  I currently only have two connections.

Unfortunately I know why they won't contact us
Because those addresses I found they all have coins from this one

Next few days I have to trace back more of them in explorer

Funny thing is one of them was staking up to 28th Oct 2016 and did a big confirmed transfer 3 days ago

For the record, this one is mine: BGR6gHRqRQr4vM6oCN6eJ7mFryHxBh7Xav

Was able to get a send out for 17k Silkcoin last week but no confirms so far.  The rest is still stuck staking and it's a double-edged sword because we need staking to move the network.  Damn.

It's a bit of mess in the main thread for now
lots of silent investors till now, just surfaced and want mooooney back

I wish we knew how much they have in and calling themselves investors.  I wanted sooooooo badly to say something like "it takes 5+ BTC value to call yourself and investor" in the post I made a few minutes ago.

I was about 75% sure they wouldn't release on the 5th.  It doesn't matter to me.  I only wish they would have made an announcement early in the week,  It wouldn't have stopped the "I want my money back" crap but it would have squashed the claims for lack of communication.

Yeah the delay doesn't bother me one bit since my coins are stuck, ha!  I agree though, just take 5 minutes to type up a message and be done with it but whatever.  Any FUD that shakes out some weak hands will only help in the long run.

No chance these would work?
Scrypt Miner 28MH Zeusminer

Ha, I have 10 of 'em that I put back in the shipping boxes about 6 months ago Sad
Now it's time to pull the GPU rigs out ... I can see $500/month electric bills coming again...
But the rigs do heat the whole house in the winter Smiley

I still have my HD7950 rig (5 card) setup.  Was going to sell the parts off but maybe I'll keep them now, haha.

Still struggling to get my coins out of staking.  There just isn't enough network activity.  I currently have 300k silkcoin tied up.  Not good.

Nice, let's see how long it takes to confirm, haha.

I hope you're synced already

It said I was then I restarted the wallet, now I'm not.  Wtf.
